Trump Is Still No Closer To Impeachment. At What Point Do Russiagaters Lose Faith?

Mueller isn’t going to find anything in 2017 that these vast, sprawling networks wouldn’t have found in 2016. He’s not going to find anything by ‘following the money’ that couldn’t be found infinitely more efficaciously via Orwellian espionageThe factions within the intelligence community that were working to sabotage the incoming administration last year would have leaked proof of collusion if they’d had it. They did not have it then, and they do not have it now. Mueller will continue finding evidence of corruption throughout his investigation, since corruption is to DC insiders as water is to fish, but he will not find evidence of collusion to win the 2016 election that will lead to Trump’s impeachment. It will not happen.”
~ Me, last year.

I don’t make predictions very often. Pretty much my entire worldview is premised upon the idea that we are in a wildly unprecedented point in history, that old patterns are breaking down and giving way to novelty, and that, more and more, the only thing we should expect is the unexpected. If I didn’t believe that our species is capable of breaking out of our predictable patterns and pulling off something miraculous from way out of left field, I wouldn’t be bothering with the fight against the omnicidal, ecocidal Orwellian oppression machine that is driving us toward extinction. I’d just make art and hug my kids a lot and wait for the end to come.

The above quote was an exception. It was as glaringly obvious then as it is now that if there were any evidence to be found of Trump conspiring with the Russian government to rig the 2016 election, it would have been picked up by the vast, sprawling surveillance networks of the US-centralized empire and leaked to the Washington Post while Obama was still in office. If it didn’t happen then, it won’t happen at all.

So my prediction has been bearing out comfortably. Since last year Russiagaters have been insisting that various Trump insiders are going to “flip” any minute now, meaning they’ve been put in a position of legal jeopardy which will cause them to finally spill the beans on this massive secret Russia conspiracy in order to save their own hides. They said Flynn’s about to flip.  They said Papadopoulos is about to flip. They said Gates is about to flip. They said Cohen is about to flip. They said Manafort is about to flip. So far all Mueller’s investigative team has turned up on Trump’s team is some corruption and process crimes, because DC insiders are corrupt liars. The only flipping that’s been happening is Russiagaters flipping the fuck out as their hopes are dashed to pieces time and time and time again.

Former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort was trending yesterday with the usual mainstream anti-Trump fanfare we see whenever Saint Mueller does literally anything, but it didn’t trend for long and their hearts weren’t in it. Hopes that a “flip” was in the mail as news broke that Manafort had taken a plea deal were quickly dashed as people began actually reading the contents of the Mueller indictment for themselves. As noted by Real News‘ Aaron Maté (who is in my opinion the most lucid voice on the matter of American Russia hysteria right now), the documents in the indictment disprove a longstanding key Russiagate claim that Manafort was supporting Kremlin interests in Ukraine; Mueller’s own documents prove that Manafort was actually advancing western interests.

Additionally, there doesn’t at this time appear to be any reason to believe Manafort’s plea deal will involve the Trump campaign at all, and can involve any of Manafort’s other corrupt shenanigans which stretch back years. In fact one of the names which keeps coming up in mainstream punditry as a likely target resulting from Manafort’s arrangement is the Clinton-aligned Tony Podesta.

This all fits in with a reliable and consistent pattern which Maté thoroughly documented recently, wherein criminal convictions are being made and plea deals accepted to much manic “BOOM! He’s gonna flip!” celebration among Russiagate conspiracy enthusiasts, but without any part of the actual facts showing any trace of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

Russiagaters have been assuring me since the beginning of last year that collusion will be proven, that Trump is going to be impeached and removed from office any minute now and spend the rest of his life behind bars for attacking American democracy and helping a hostile state infiltrate the highest levels of the US government. We are fast approaching the halfway point of this president’s term, and we are not one iota closer to his being removed from office than we were on the day of his inauguration. The BOOMs never bear fruit. The flips never come. All we get is a lot of drama while dangerous escalations between two nuclear superpowers continue to steadily mount with full bipartisan support on Capitol Hill and the full consent of the public.

The collusion narrative is like an old rusty Pinto on cinderblocks that racing enthusiasts keep placing bets on because the NASCAR commentators keep saying it’s going to win. The thing ain’t moving; the bets are fueled by nothing but cultish anti-Trumpism and hope. Without collusion between Trump and the Russian government, all you’ve got is a bunch of CNN liberals freaking out about an icy potato patch they seldom even thought about prior to 2016. That icy potato patch happens to be home to thousands of nuclear missiles and a military which could easily enter into a direct confrontation with the US and its allies in the fog of war as things heat up in Syria. You Russiagaters want your BOOM? There’s your fucking BOOM.

How long are they going to keep this up? How long are they going to keep feeding into this psychotic narrative which never accomplishes anything other than advancing longstanding neoconservative agendas, despite never seeing any actual progress toward impeachment? How long can the propagandists keep the masses fixated on this fake nonsense, ensuring support for imperialist foreign policy while advancing internet censorship and shoring up control of the narrative from dissident alternative media? How many BOOMs and flips have to fizzle before the acolytes of the Cult of Mueller lose faith?

I have nothing but disdain for Trump. But while Democrats are burning their Saint Mueller prayer candles and shrieking about Susan Sarandon, this president is showing zero signs of impending impeachment and spending every single day using the bully pulpit to advance the narrative that he is strengthening the economy and bringing in jobs and putting more money in the pockets of Americans. He is receiving very little pushback against that narrative because of how fixated Democrats are on their Russiagate Hail Mary, and if it remains unchallenged he’s probably going to win in 2020.

If the world isn’t a nuclear wasteland by then, of course.

  • Want to nail the Trump campaign for foreign collusion? It’s a no-brainer: Look no further than Cambridge Analytica. There are some pertinent questions the media’s not asking, such as:
Who were the foreign nationals sent to the US to advise the Trump campaign? Will they be charged?
How many non-US persons were involved in targeting American voters via the well-known (and massive) data breach on FB? Will they or the company be charged?
Oddly we already know the Trump campaign hired CA to sway the election. And that would have been perfectly legal IF no foreign nationals had been involved.
OH, one last question: Does this mean we’re at war with Britain?

  • You nailed it! Again!

  • While I agree there is likely no Russian collusion, if there were something Mueller plans to announce, legit or not, the carefully calculated time to drop the charge(s) for the supposedly non-partisan Mueller (who works for the entire Swamp, always has) would be October…Surprise!I

Many who voted for Trump voted against Hillary and a Clinton, Bush dynasty (with a Barack ‘not much different than’ Obama for a couple of terms).
Trump promised to end Regime Change endless wars; all but promised Glass-Steagall ‘Main Street over Wall Street’ for a bail-out furious public; hinted at a return to the American System of economics (production based) over City of London free trade; and to work for ‘the forgotten man’ & woman, who, around here, is everyone below the ruling class/elites.
I guess it’s true when we’re told Trump agrees with whomever is the last person he speaks with, probably Kissinger or one of his other creepy friends, because he’s reversed every one of those campaign promises and more.

I will say this, tho, no president has ever had as much said about and done to him as Trump. He can’t scratch an itch without having it criticized by MSNBCNN. “He’s insane, a traitor, a sexual preditor, a Nazi… must impeach!”.
All the evidence out now DOES show serious and even illegal activity to set him up on false charges of Russiagate (read the actual evidence, it is NOT Fox News talking points, it’s some scary AF behind the scenes actions by DoJ, FBI, British agents a certain former candidate & others). Oddly, the former candidate did commit real crimes destroying subpoenaed evidence and allowing classified documents to be shared all over the world (the list of known countries who saw these is large), but is so far totally absolved of any crimes while Trump and his associates are being scrutinized for everything they’ve, well, ever done.
Trump’s gotta play to stay, just like every elected person who gets in office and can’t seem to function like a human being anymore (if they ever were one). We have to get money & scumbags out of politics, otherwise it’s NOTHING but a club for the rich to openly and legally loot the commonwealth and remove even more of our rights, protections and freedoms. I’m leaning toward term limits, too, even if we end up with less experienced political thinkers. I don’t want to abandon the historical representative govt system, but it is so broken now, so fake and corrupt, we all must decide together to demand a fix to the purchasing of our president & reps by the wealthy; it’s f-ing UnAmerican! Tweet it, write your reps, let’s get going. #CampaignFinanceReformNow #StopCitizensUnited Anyone got a good hashtag for a money-out campaign?

    • Margaret, what has been proven over and over again is that it does not matter who is in any office the corruption and deceit just gets worse. So what should this tell us? That it is not the people operating the system that is the problem; it is the very system itself. Therefore the only solution is to dismantle the system completely. The US should be – must be – peacefully disbanded. There is no need for a federal government. Government must be reduced to a human scale.

  • The bit about us being in a ‘wildly unprecedented time in history ‘ is the only part I disagree with. This sort of thing is all too familiar when a civilization goes into its decline phase. Basically we’re re-living the last century of the Roman empire. History is cyclical not linear. Once I understood this a lot of the crazy stuff going on things suddenly made sense.

  • Love your work. You must never sleep and you still make more sense than most of the media coverage I read.

  • Chief among the top donors was Sheldon Adelson, a GOP megadonor and CEO of the largest casino company in the United States, Las Vegas Sands Corp. He doled out $5 million for Trump’s inauguration fund. The donation was not only Trump’s largest inaugural contribution, but the largest individual donation made to any presidential inaugural committee. He and his wife, Miriam Adelson, also donated nearly $83 million to Republicans in the 2016 election. https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2018/01/trump-donors-1-year-later/

  • Hard to believe you support the idea Trumpsky is not a traitorous POS to all of U.S.

    • Of course he is. What is being said, I think, is that since evidence has not been found, it doesn’t exist. I don’t agree with that because I think the logic if flawed:

      1. Just because no evidence has been released doesn’t mean it has not been found. Stating that it would have been leaked is a weak argument.

      2. Even if no evidence has been found, that does not mean it won’t be. The passage of time, at least in this case, is a very poor metric.

      3. It is likely, based on what is known of typical prosecutorial tactics, that a lot of effort has been put into obtaining evidence against people (like Michael Coh and Paul Manafort and others) who, if they “flip” (and most have) will be the actual *source* of evidence against Trump. Mueller is not going after Trump directly at this point, and given Trump’s reluctance to talk to Mueller, probably can’t. So hee obtains evidence from others who have also committed crimes.

Caitlin is a smart woman but in this case I find her argument that there is no collusion because *so far* there is no evidence to be very defective.

      • two questions:

if the dnc thought the russians hacked their email, why didn’t they let the fbi look at the servers?

if the fbi thought the russians hacked the dnc’s email, why didn’t they get a warrant?

        • One question. How are any possible answers to your questions relevant to the present discussion?

          • Arnold, you are the one who doesn’t understand. Read Caitlin’s article again, please. Jeff’s remark is very pertinent. He’s pointing out that there is no basis for expecting more secret info to be made public. Until now the FBI didn’t even try to investigate the DNC server, evidently because they knew the whole bundle of Russiagate allegations were a typical psyop hoax designed by Hillary and the DNC to bash Russia, Trump, and Bernie Sanders. The FBI knows how to distinguish obvious psyops from real problems that need to be seriously investigated.

            • Your response to me is filled with equivocation. “Evidently” means maybe yes and also maybe not. You have no basis for assuming the motives of the FBI, nor do you have any basis for assuming they “know how” to do anything. This is just rank, wishful speculation in your part.

  • WASHINGTON – Without much time to spare, casino magnate and Republican mega-donor Sheldon Adelson donated to Donald Trump’s campaign for president in a big way on Monday, after having pledged last spring to fund the unconventional candidate’s path to victory. Coinciding with a visit by Trump to Las Vegas, Adelson – who has long prioritized issues concerning Israel in his political calculations – donated $25 million to his campaign, Fox News reported, describing the billionaire as “going all in on the Republican nominee” just one week before Election Day. https://www.jpost.com/US-Elections/Last-minute-Adelson-flushes-Trump-campaign-with-cash-471380

  • Like Caitlin, I don’t like Trump either, he is like a bull in a china shop with everything he does, but he is not the one in control, as this article on press.tv shows! It is a group of people like Sheldon Adelson (The Atlantic Council) whom are pulling the strings….https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/09/15/574231/Sheldon-Adelson-pushed-Trump-to-pull-out-of-Iran-deal

  • Trump and Israeli Collusion

“Ultimately Israel wants to instigate an American attack on Iran and a Trump presidency is their best chance to make that happen. Benjamin Netanyahu’s periodic public relations campaigns against Iran are meant to ratchet up the political pressure. Israel and the other nations who worked for Syrian regime change have failed. President Assad is firmly in place. He is resolved to free his country from Israeli and U.S. backed terrorists and Vladimir Putin is committed to helping him.

  • “Unbeknownst to a large section of the public, there is a very real story about actual collusion between team Trump and a foreign power. The collusion is deep, nefarious, compromises American goals and interests and is being studiously avoided by the dutiful lapdog mouthpieces in both the anti-Trump and pro-Tramp MSM fake news camps (and even among many in the pseudo-alternative media). And you haven’t heard a peep about it because this collusion touches the third rail of international geopolitics: Israel.”

  • There is more actual evidence of the Trump/Israeli collusion and Trump working for this foreign power yet the media focuses on Russia.

“Israel Lobby Billionaire Praises Jared Kushner For Collusion With Netanyahu”https://www.wrmea.org/018-january-february/israel-lobby-billionaire-praises-jared-kushner-for-collusion-with-netanyahu.html

    • Note that Haim Saban is also a huge donor to Democrats as well.

  • A tip to your readers who don’t already know, John Helmer exposed the Manafort et al scheme at least 1 1/2 years ago. As for you Caitlin, how did you get so smart, living, as you do in a lost outpost of the world–aka, On the Beach. We should all thank our lucky stars that The Donald is president–America’s Id–the most feckless president since maybe Benjamin Harrison. What if we still had the Most Effective Evil–aka America’s Ego? If the Wicked Witch of the West had won, well, then you really would be On the Beach, and the rest of us would be crispy critters. If anyone is still looking for a US president, I hope they think about looking for a Super Ego, you know, someone with morals, which of course excludes all politicians. At least FDR, a consummate politician if there ever was one, was reined in by Eleanor. I usually vote for Karl Marx for president, but next time, I’ll vote for Eleanor.

  • People who are truly awake know that the entire presidential (s)election process is a show for the masses. Just read Edward Bernays “Propaganda”. Trumptards are not awake just sheeple believing in a psyop.

    • Sadly true.

  • DJT is beholden to the Khazarian mafia plain and simple. DJT hung out with the Clintons, Jeff Epstein(Mossad agent/pimp/child trafficker), and Ghilsane Maxell(Mossad agent/pimp/child trafficker) for years in NYC socialite parties

  • “7 Things You Need To Know About Trump And Sex Slave Island” https://www.dailywire.com/news/5556/7-things-you-need-know-about-trump-and-sex-slave-amanda-prestigiacomo 1.Trump himself has said that Epstein is “a lot of fun to be with,” adding that he admired the sex offender’s affinity for beautiful women “on the younger side.” 2. Trump was named in Epstein’s “little black book.” 3. Trump has allegedly flown on Epstein’s private plane — a hot spot for under-age sex orgies. 4. Both Trump and Epstein are named as sex abusers in a case with an under-aged girl. 5. Epstein admitted to knowing Trump under oath, and curiously pled the fifth to Trump attending sex parties with underage girls. 6. At least one of Epstein’s underage sex victims was recruited from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago — which he frequented often. 7. Trump was subpoenaed in 2009 for his connection to Epstein’s under-age sex slave rings. Trump has denied ever being served.

  • Trump received several loans primarily from Deutsche Bank for $650 million, but he also lined up a $160 million mezzanine loan* from a group of private investors, Fortress Investment Group, Blackacre Capital, and support from billionaire George Soros, who invested $160 million to help build the Chicago skyscraper(Trump Tower). Some how Trump did not have to worry about paying back the majority of his mezzanine loan. A special group of lenders came in and erased a significant portion of this obligation. That group was the original mezzanine loan lenders: Soros, Fortress and Blackacre; all of whom decided to forgive Trump’s future interest payments on the loan, selling it to him at the massively reduced price of $48 million. To put that in starker terms, Soros and the others effectively gave Trump possibly hundreds of millions of dollars in debt forgiveness, while cutting down the principal of his loan by $82 million**. https://wearechange.org/george-soros-forgive-trump-312-million-debt/

    • Why did you post this ? It is completely irrelevant and off-topic.

  • This entire Russia collusion/DJT fighting the ‘deep state’ garbage is a psyop to divert people away from who truly controls DJT. The Khazarian mafia owns DJT. Sheldon Adelson financed the Trump campaign. DJT owes huge sums of money to George Soros. Is it just mere coincidence that DJT has done everything Adelson wanted in particular moving the US embassy in Israel and trying to get a casino in North Korea? DJT’s son in law Jared Kushner (junior khazarian mafioso)directs foreign policy. Steve Mnuchin(khazarian mafioso) runs monetary policy

  • I admire Caitlin and others standing up against the demented US Empire of Insanity. They are up against the CIA that won the 2016 election. The Democrats walked right into the trap (the Republicans were mostly already trapped) and as usual the MSM pushes narratives as ordered. The US will continue to roll out its Stasi surveillance state and the people will march as directed within the fake establishment political dialectic of left/right while the demented US elites (neocons, neolibs, Atlantic Council, CIA, MI6, dual passport holders from UK, Israel, Saudis) will continue working mightily for the war they hunger for. Are the nuclear weapons of the East enough to hold back and stalemate the demented US?

  • The Big Lie technique is effective and has never been proven more so than by the Russiagate fallacy. It can seemingly infect anyone, regardless of education or, apparently, intelligence.

To me, the reality is that the midterm elections are the target and perceptions created rather than facts are the prize. Afterwards, little may matter. “Gotcha” will again be the result!”

    • To an outsider it amazes me that the Americans really believe in their exceptionalism . They do not seem to understand that their wealth was based on consumption not production. That in turn was based on the dollar being the reserve currency of the world following the Second World War and the wars of aggression and the hundreds of thousands of people slaughtered by your armed forces to maintain that exorbitant privalige. That privalige you have squandered at the alter of consumption as if it was a virtue rather than a vice which tolls the death knell of your once great nation.

      • Someone wrote that the United States thinks the world revolves around the U.S. I would rewrite that and say the U.S.A. thinks the universe revolves around it, and that individual Americans generally think the universe revolves around them personally. See, e.g., the women who have said, “Brett Kavanaugh didn’t do anything to me.” What? Oh, I see, you don’t have cancer so therefore I don’t have cancer. Neoliberalism does not tend to enhance people’s intelligence, and this dying, bankrupt empire has a bad case of neoliberalitis.

  • Why do underground miners continue, day after day after day, to risk their lives going deep underground and mining whatever? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
Why do mercenaries risk their lives, day after day after day, killing and killing and killing whomever? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
Why do people employed in the cigarette industry, from tobacco farmers to factory workers to retail stores, continue to “market” a cancer-causing substance that will kill millions of people all over the world, year after year after year? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
Why do people employed in the military-security-congressional-industrial complex, from TSA/FBI/NSA/DHS/CIA/JSOC/USMC/USN/BIW etc. ad infinitum continue to do, day after day after day, what they do? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
Why do people employed in the whaling industry continue to risk their lives at sea, day after day after day, killing mammals that live in the oceans of the world? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
Why do people employed in the fossil fuel industry continue explore for fossil fuel on land and at sea, day after day after day when they know in their heart of hearts that what they are doing is poisoning their Mother Earth’s biosphere to the point where Mother Earth will no longer support human life? Money. That’s how they “make a living”. They’ll do absolutely anything to keep their jobs.
What specific behavior does “doing absolutely anything to keep their jobs” consist of? What are all of these people going to do if they feel that their livelihoods are being threatened (they’re going to become “unemployed”) by candidates for political offices who have control over foreign (war) policy, energy policy, fishing policy, tobacco/asbestos/GM food/GHG policies? Specifically, which candidates for political office are they going to vote for?
THIS is EXACTLY why “things” are they way they are in the world today. WE are the problem, not THEM. WE have to figure out a better “system” (way of life), not THEM.
So instead of pointing fingers, let us, each and every one of us, start figuring out the specific details of that better way of life. On a day to day basis, just exactly WHAT does that better world “look like”? How does it “operate”? If humanity is going to survive, imagining and giving birth to this at-first-only-imagined better world is exactly what WE, not THEM, not SOMEONE ELSE, and definitely not the Elite, are going to have to do.
If I were you, I’d first try to “come up with a system” in which each and every person in the ways of life I’ve described above is satisfied that they’ll be able to “make a living” should that new system come into being. In other words, they’ll vote for it. That’s your challenge. Humanity’s survival depends upon your ability to “think outside the box”.
What will the “foundation stone” of YOUR system be?

    • Oh, I forgot to answer Caitlin’s queston — “At what point, etc.”. The answer is “never”, because it is the “foundations stone” of the DNC’s “case” against the “legitmacy” of the presidency of Agent Orange, AKA the Golden Golem of Greatness. That AO won the election is established fact. The question that the DNC raised is “how” and their answer is that it was because AO ILLEGALLY colluded with Putin to, supposedly, deceive enough American voters to tip the election to AO. The underlying assumption is that AO could not possibly have won because of what he said on the campaign trail — making nice with Russia, no more regime change operations, if you sell it to Americans, you must make it in Amercia, build the wall, etc.
Does anyone remember the reaction of the Deep State to AO’s overtures to Mr. Un in Singapore and Mr. Putin in Helsinki? Hysteria and claims that AO was a traitor. Why? Peace with Russia and China means the collapse of the US’s military security industrial complex, which means the collapse of the US “economy”. The Deep State will not allow that to happen, which is why Russigate will never die.
The bottom line is that Bernie should rightfully have been the D candiate instead of Hitlery and, had that happened, IMO, Bernie would now be president and he would be Bush the Fifth when it comes to the US foreign policy of Full Spectrum Dominance over the world.

      • One of the best summaries I have read about motivation and frankly the way of the world. It also bares lie to the bs that there are “two parties” in the US. The only “two” of anything is those making money from this and those not making money from this.

        Thanks for a great post!

    • Ish, “What will the “foundation stone” of YOUR system be?”

Sending your question right back atcha.

FTR my system would be based on the foundation stone of the NAP. Any other system will just be a return to what we already have now: collective busybodiness (redundant I know).

      • For the moment let”s think about people living in apartement buildings and people living in neighborhoods of dense-packed, stand-alone, single-family dwellings. I live in the latter situation. I have a home on each side and another home directly accross the street. My wife and I consider these to be “close” neighbors. (There are more homes in our neighborhood outside of that ring, but I don’t consider those to be “close”.)
Because of the way I have behaved with these close neighbors over the twenty years we’ve lived here, behavior which has been guided solely by my “foundation stone”, these people would literally do almost anything for us, except commit suicide or sell us their homes for $1.
The relationship that now exists in reality between my wife and I and the human beings that live in those three buildings is NOT due to a non-aggression pact. “It” is something else.
Anyone who has close neighbors knows exactly what that “somethng” is. It’s the exact same foundation stone that keeps close family members “close” over the years from infancy to childhood to adulthood. It is not necessarily “love”, although it could be, depending on your own definition of that word. For example, I do not consider myself to “be in love with” my close neighbors, yet we have this great, mutually-benefical, comfortable, reassuring relationship.
What could my “foundation stone” — the foundation stone of an atheist, the foundation stone that MUST guide ALL human relationships, whether they be close neighbors or neighbors living on another continent– possibly be?

        • Beautiful Ishkabibble!

        • Ish, NAP stands for Non Aggression Principle – not pact. The NAP does not require a pact except for the pact one makes with oneself to be a NAPist, as I have done.

Still not sure what basic principle you are espousing in your reply but it sounds like you are practicing the NAP in your relationship with your neighbors. This is good. This is how we should all treat each other – with mutual courtesy and respect.

  • Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort were not available to provide information previously. They are now, and that changes everything.

    • How so?

  • It was preposterous nonsense from day one, and nothing has changed in 2 years. Except, as Caitlin points out, we are moving closer every day to a war with a nation that has done NOTHING to us, but is capable of turning America into a smoldering ash heap. I don’t think we will draw much comfort from the fact that Russia and the rest of the World will also be in ashes.

  • I put the probability that Caitlin is right at 99.4%. (Got to leave room for an asteroid to strike, metaphorically speaking.)

    • It’s really 99.44%–Ivory Soap. OK, you gotta be born before 1970 to know.

  • Russia took out ads on Facebook, the USA arms terrorists in Syria, bombs Yemen, turns Iraq into a wasteland, turns Libya into another wasteland and helps overthrow an elected government in the Ukraine.

So, lets add this up from the media perspective….. yup, Russia is evil, USA is a freedom fighter nation and Trump should be impeached.

Seems about right for this nuthouse world we live in.

And for you Caitlin, all I can say is how much I admire you & others like you for keeping on trying to get the truth out to what seems to me to be a vast swath of zombies in front of TV sets.

    • David, “…a vast swath of zombies in front of TV sets.”

Yup. Sportsball season as well as the new “fall lineup” will be a good time to start a new war. ‘Course for the neocons it is always a good time to start another war for Israel

  • The inside word is that Trump’s connections with “Russia” are through Zionist Russian oligarchs the US created when we broke up Russia, and who run “whatdoesitmean” and “ZeroHedge” and “RT” websites that are pushing the Deep State narrative that echoes here. But as they cross over to the New York Zionist Financiers who got Trump elected, and they are Capitalists and Zionists, Mueller doesn’t want them. It works for me with Kushner’s close relationship with Netenyahu et al. Research it and see what you think. Trump was always a Neo-con. He wanted to “invest” in Russia side to isolate China, but when he partnered with Iran and China, game over.

  • That about sums it up.Trump hatred has always been a waste of time. Use your energy for something else like actually contributing something positive to this world. Its your choice. And you can you know.

    • Exactly– its a total diversion ” Look over here at the nice birdy”– while all the systemic institutional corruption continues.

It reminds me of when you are on a highway and all of a sudden the traffic slows down — yup an accident– and why do we slow down? — because of rubber-neckers whose attention is diverted– same response.

Not sad just the way it is. What’s sad is when people take advantage of that human tendency– ie every US government since Roosevelt!?
