Just when you thought this administration couldn’t get more cartoonishly villainous, Trump lawyer and Simon Bar Sinister stunt double Rudy Giuliani takes to the stage and enthuses about how US sanctions are making Iranian citizens so desperate they are offering to sell their internal organs for $500 in order to stay alive.

“Probably a fortune in Iran today. This is truly pitiful!” he crowed triumphantly to the crowd at the Iran Uprising Summit in New York on Saturday, pleased as punch by the US government’s success in torturing everyday Iranians with starvation.

Giuliani, who is basically what you’d get if necrophilia and racist police shootings had a baby, fumbled his way through a paid speech for the MEK terror cult with all the grace of a drunken creepy uncle MCing his way through a family wedding. In it he not only gloated over the starvation and severe impoverishment of Iranian civilians, but openly proclaimed that regime change was coming to Iran due to the actions of the Trump administration.

“I don’t know when we’re going to overthrow them. It could be in a few days, months, a couple of years, but it’s going to happen. They’re going to be overthrown.” Guiliani said definitively. “The people of Iran have obviously now had enough. The sanctions are working. The currency is going to nothing! They’re where Russia was. They’re where Poland was. We see signs of young men and women saying ‘Give me some food!’ We saw a sign of a man trying to sell his internal organs for five hundred American dollars – probably a fortune in Iran today! This is truly pitiful. These are the kinds of conditions that lead to successful revolution, and God willing, non-violent revolution.”

Truly pitiful, he reckons. That’s like standing on a patient’s oxygen hose at the hospital and then making fun of them for gasping for air. Sanctions are the only legal act of war that deliberately target innocent civilians, and here is Giuliani mocking people for the suffering he is gleefully supporting inflicting.

Corpse bride Nikki Haley was quick to distance the Trump administration from Giuliani’s regime change rhetoric, as was the US State Department in a statement to Reuters, because as we saw them do with Libya and as we’ve seen them attempt with Syria, the US government has ever since the disastrous Iraq invasion had a standing policy of denying that it is pushing for regime change in key strategic regions while doing exactly that. But Giuliani has been repeatedly appearing at these events spouting the exact same regime change rhetoric while retaining employment as Trump’s lawyer, and at no time has the president or anyone else in the administration made him stop. The administration can’t actually have that much of a problem with Giuliani’s schtick; if it did Giuliani would either stop or be fired.

Neither has happened. Giuliani keeps getting these lucrative speaking gigs where he champions regime change again and again, which was also done at another such event by murderous psychopath John Bolton not long before he was hired as Trump’s National Security Advisor. Giuliani’s words have the tacit blessing of the Trump administration.

Giuliani was hired to speak alongside Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the Mujahideen e Khalq (MEK), a paramilitary cult that was only recently delisted by Hillary Clinton as a designated terror group at the behest of CIA and FBI insiders and other shadow government stalwarts. The MEK was originally listed as a terrorist group because it has killed Americans and has an extensive history of committing acts of terrorism, and has recently been exposed in operating an extensive social media propaganda campaign to manufacture support for Iranian regime change in the west. Rajavi boasted at the event that her group has organized special “Units of Rebellion” to run riots and interference inside Iran, which was a pretty interesting thing to say on the very same day that there was a terror attack on a military parade in the Iranian city of Ahvaz that slaughtered 24 people and wounded many more.

There was no inference that the MEK was responsible for this particular attack, but it’s kind of fascinating that while Nikki Haley was telling Iran to “look in the mirror” with regard to the attack on Ahvaz because in her view, the attack came from organic civil unrest which is the fault of the Iranian government, Giuliani was celebrating that the sanctions applied by the US were working because they were causing the kind of intense suffering on civilians that leads to civil unrest and a “successful revolution”, while Rajavi was saying that her (exiled) group was planning on riots and provocations to stimulate civil unrest. Not to mention the fact that the coup-staging CIA recently escalated covert operations in that nation.

How exactly do they think this works? You can’t be boasting about your success at provoking civil unrest while pretending you’re just an innocent-but-concerned bystander who had his hands in his pockets the whole time, officer. Not a thing.

They think we’re stupid. They must, or they’d never try to get away with this bullshit. Eyes and ears open, clear-eyed rebels. The veils are being pulled back almost quicker than we can process.

  1. Great article, Caitlin. Great comments, all. Now that we all understand this intolerable situation, just exactly WHAT are we all going to do about it? WHAT?!

  2. Don’t vote Dem and don’t vote Rep and don’t enlist. And stop stop thanking our “Brave Men and Women in Uniform” for their “Service”. There’s nothing honorable about “serving”.

    1. Could not agree more!

    2. Maxim, you are on to it. The MIC is evil. Pure Evil. How can anyone serve evil honorably?

I would like to see some bumper stickers made that say something like this:

Proud Parent of a Son (or Daughter) Who Does NOT Serve The MIC

My Kid Is Proudly NOT Serving The MIC

My Son is Proudly Working For Peace

War Is A Racket My Kid Will NOT Serve Corruption

      Etc.

    3. While I agree with your sentiments I have a hard time blaming 18 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds for signing up to serve a system they may not be fully informed about, and most likely have been misinformed by adults and the media their whole young life about.

Many vets I’ve met have only found out about the reality of the situation upon returning and delving deeper into the narratives they were fed all those years which adds to their grief and depression for what they were made to do over there and the horrors they witnessed. Not all, but many do wake up after returning from our wars.

So, don’t blame the young men and women who think they’re doing something good, or are merely looking for a way out of poverty and an education, by serving the MIC. Blame the corrupt politicians, CeO’s And greedy profiteers who send them off to do their dirty work.

      1. Two things:

        1) Maxim is not blaming…merely pointing out the stupid honor we give veterans…there is NOTHING honorable about killing people in an offensive war.

        2) Ignorance is not an excuse. If there is any blame, the public schools have failed us…no longer is logic or debate taught…no longer is critical thinking skills expected. Just go to school, follow orders, and go home. Just like the MIC and politicians want. If we want CHANGE, we need to teach our kids to QUESTION this screwed-up narrative that is being force fed to us! I always wondered why progressives are not homeschooling in droves. Instead, we have the war-happy Christians homeschooling…that is so weird.

        1. Matt, great take with one exception. Public schools are run by progressives. So what does that tell us?

          1. Good point. I do not have an answer for you. Maybe there is a sense of complacency that translates into boring, uninspired curriculum? I know many schools “teach to the test” (state competency tests) which, in my opinion, prevents true learning. Any one else have any ideas?

            1. Matt, the solution I think is simple: each parent must assume the responsibility of educating their own kids. Public schools are the antithesis of that responsibility.

              1. You are right. However, this is a very radical position. It messes up that narrative that professional teachers know what is best for your kids!

          2. School boards are not run by ‘progressives.” Public schools, boards and all, are run by The State, which everywhere and always is (as Marx and Lenin and Trotsky never failed to emphasize) primarily an organ of ruling-class repressive rule, and for excellect class reasons not (by far) least in anything to do with public education.

            1. I guess this all comes down to what is your definition of ‘progressive.’ If your definition includes the use of the state (powers/legislation) to push through new ideas, introduce civil rights, and foster positive change, then public schools, by their very nature, are progressive tools. Or am I mistaken?

              1. How many State Governments in the world permit teachers and students together to run schools autonomously and democratically, the way it was done by the soviets in the early revolutionary years, before Stalin restored the Tsarist State in his new model of National Socialism? Can you name one (Rojava not being recognized as a state by any of the brigands contesting in Syria)

        2. Starting a new thread here for space reasons.
Shane, progressives run the education establishment because “progressiveism” is itself an arm of The State. The Left is The State and The State is the Left. Lefties either do not understand the nature of their own beliefs or they do not care to understand this simple truth.

The Prime Directive of government schools is to indoctrinate the children to be obedient to The State. Leftist “ideals” are a perfect match for this task.

          1. The “Left” that inforebelscum denounces may represent the “socialism” of Hitler, Stalin, or Mao, but it has nothing in common with Marxism.
            Read:
–“The Civil War in France” by Karl Marx.
–“State and Revolution” by V. I. Lenin.
            –“The RevolutionBetrayed” by Leon Trotsky.

            1. Shane, actually there is very little difference between the core of socialism and Marxism. Both are based on the same evil i.e. that the Individual is subservient to the Collective. Both produce the same results: death and destruction on an industrial scale. Only governments can cause such massive horrors.

              1. I gave you a minimal introductory reading list. Study it at least to find (you won’t) concepts like “The Individual” and “The Collective.” Then at least you will have the right to an opinion.

                1. Shane, you are working off of the assumption that I a have not read Marxist theory (not unlike Christians who assume non believers have not read the bible because otherwise they would not be non believers). I have read it and understand it and reject it categorically. Indeed, I would argue that if one does not understand that Marxism is Collectivism I would question whether or not that person actually understands Marxism him/herself.

I would recommend some reading to you as well if you have not read them already (I do not know if you have or not):

                  Bastiat’s The Law
                  Anything from Ron Paul
                  Anything from Anthony Sutton
                  Anything from Murray Rothbard

                  1. No “assumption.” Just the plain evidence you are providing. As I said, learn a little, then if you are capable of specific criticism, show it.

                    1. Shane, my specific criticism is what I have already stated – Marxism is collectivism. As such it denies human beings of their Natural Law Rights. And that is why I oppose it.

    4. Suggesting not voting Dimwitocrat or Republiconartist, most often just a choice of lesser of two evils, when there is not yet a viable third party on the left, or right, and not understanding how to use quotation marks, and capitalization strike me as marks of a simpleton. If the naive suggestion were followed by but instead get involved in helping to build viable third parties it might be considered wise advice rather than naive simplicity. Not enlisting is decent advice, but it’s also incredibly naive as war has changed dramatically so perhaps you might benefit from reading Caitlin’s post, “Any Effective Anti-War Movement Must Readjust Its Understanding Of What War Is.”

      1. Dennis, it might not be a good idea for Grammar Nazis to throw stones. It could make them look like simpletons too.

“…not understanding how to use quotation marks, and capitalization strike me as marks of a simpleton. If the naive suggestion were followed by but instead get involved (sic) in helping to build viable third parties it might be considered wise advice rather than naive simplicity.”

        1. “Grammar Nazis”–charming discourse

          1. Shane, have you not heard of that term before?! Do you know what it means?

            1. Calling anyone any sort of “Nazi” is what, to be as gentle as possible, is an effusion in the worst possible taste (unless, like Von Karajan, you are talking about an authentic *partiegenoss*).

              1. Shane, it is a rather common term used mostly on internet discussion boards to denote those who criticize other posters’ grammar/spelling errors. And oftentimes the “grammar nazi” him/herself makes some grammar/spelling mistakes themselves. The general consensus, I think, is that we all make mistakes and could use a good editor (I put myself at the top of that list) and as such a certain amount of leeway is to be expected to be given and accepted. Let he who is without writing mistakes cast the first stone if you will.

          2. should be “Parteigenoss”

            1. Shane, had to look that word up. Dictionary.com had nothing. Can you please offer a definition? Thanks.

              1. Party Comrade (ie., Member). Herbert Von Karajan was a member in good standing of the NSDAP from 1933 to the bitter end.

                1. Shane, OK, but what does he have to do with using the term grammar nazi?

  3. This sort of stuff leaves me speechless. I know many people who are so compassionate they can’t even kill a scary-looking spider. Any spider that enters their house is carefully caught and put outside. Then you have the Haley/Giuliani/Bolton types who not only don’t mind how many people suffer or die, they actually gloat over it. Too hard to get my head around.

  4. Well, one thing we know about Giuliani’s and Haley’s organs. They are so putrefied that not one of them is worth a plugged nickel, let alone $500.

  5. “For Western democracies, there is no law. It is customary for the countries suffering from acute exceptionalism to bomb others at their own discretion, and a resolution from the UN Security Council is not required at all.”

  6. ‘ ‘ They think we’re stupid.’ ‘

They know the majority of sheeple are brain-washed,
and therefore they don’t worry much for now.

We can educate those who are uninformed.

But only a great cataclysm can un-brainwash
those who drank the status-quo Kool-Aid.

  7. This just in: Warpig Bolton just announced that the US will not leave Syria until Iran stays within its borders.

The perfect Iranian response should be We will stay within our borders when the US also stays within its borders.

  8. Rudy G. is one of the most revolting creeps on the planet. If you are known by the friends you have, Rudy helps us know Trump even better than we can stand to know him already.

  9. I really hope its the last nail in the coffin for that wretched shitstain that Americans call “land of the free” but at least I know it will be A nail in the coffin.

  10. Remember Madeline Albright?

In an Emmy Award-winning 1996 interview on CBS program “60 Minutes,” the Clinton-era secretary of state was asked whether the deaths of half a million Iraqi children was worth it. “The price is worth it,” Albright bluntly replied.

    Source: https://www.salon.com/2016/05/11/college_protests_revive_accusations_against_war_criminal_madeleine_albright_who_defended_deaths_of_500000_iraqi_kids/

I am truly ashamed to be an American. Between Giuliani and Albright statements, it is obvious the American government is the planet’s number one killing machine.

  11. Caitlin describes Rudy Giuliani in strong language because that is what he is.
Like most of the rest of US elites he is a demented vile creature.
Syria, Libya, Iraq, Honduras, Ukraine, etc., immense suffering and destruction.
But it’s OK with them if they can find someone or somewhere to plow and plunder.
What is pumping blood in their veins since they have to heart.

  12. Haley IS a lot worse – but I was trying to say that being bitchy about her personal appearance doesn’t address her crimes.

  13. Is this the same Rudy Giuliani who in haste removed all the steel beam evidence from the WTC 9/11 crime scene? Why isn’t he in court answering for that?

    1. Instead, he received a promotion.

  14. Operation Ajax II is clearly being implemented.

An almost perfect post Caitlin; great point about the contradictions coming from the Warpigs.

Does anyone really believe the US is not deliberately provoking Iran into a confrontation?! Will this be an October surprise?

  15. The MEK today is certainly part of the Dark Side. But didn’t the original accusations of “terrorism” and “killing americans” come from its role in the Iranian revolution itself when it was (or at least was presenting itself), if I recollect correctly, as a nominally left-wing faction allied to the Khomeinists in overthrowing the democratic Mossadeghist Bakhtiar government, which had replaced the Pahlevi regime after the shah’s abdication?

  16. Nikki Haley is beyond doubt a murderous, lying, treacherous politician but lampooning her cadaverous appearance as a “corpse bride” descends into emotive propaganda and detracts from your criticism.
It is, after all, what she was born with, and the likes of George Clooney are equally intellectually dishonest, despite the Hollywood pretty-boy appearance.

    1. Oh, I could think of a lot worse descriptions for Namrata Randhawa (aka Nikki H.), but “corpse bride” nails it.

Agree with your comment of Mr. Clooney.

      1. 100% agreement on both aspects.
“Corpse bride Nikki Haley” – Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
        If the cap fits…

The U.S. will get away with this shit until it doesn’t anymore. When the day comes that Russia or China or maybe Iran decides it will be pushed no further, our much abused “allies” will see how ill-equipped our regime is to keep this up. And then we will quickly discover that we no longer have a friend in the world.

    1. Yes, but how many people will die before the US empire meets its inevitable fate?
