After being publicly accused of sexual assault by more than fifty women stretching back decades, serial rapist Bill Cosby has finally been sentenced to three to ten years in state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a female acquaintance at his Philadelphia home in 2004. The judge rejected Cosby’s requests for house arrest and for being released on bail while his attorneys appealed the conviction, designating him a “sexually violent predator” after hearing testimony from Cosby’s victims during the trial.

So that’s settled now. Anyone who was still in denial that America’s favorite dad likes to rape women can go ahead and place that flag in the fireplace once and for all, which honestly they should have done back in 2014 when a viral Hannibal Buress video got people researching the fact that Google is full of stories lost at the bottom of the news churn barrel in which women have accused Cosby of rape over the years. People should have seen Cosby for what he is then, not just for the sheer number of accusations, but for the fact that they were being leveled at a man who has been openly joking about drugging women to get sex since the 1960s.

Cosby has a bit in his 1969 stand-up album It’s True! It’s True! which he repeated for decades afterward, in which he jokes about an urban legend that if you slip something called “Spanish fly” into a woman’s drink she’ll give you all the sex you want, and talks about his attempts to find some. The audience thought it was hilarious. His 1986 biographer called the bit “mild”. In 1991 Cosby still thought it was funny enough to bring up in an interview on CNN’s Larry King Live, during which the following exchange took place:

COSBY: There’s a thing about Spanish Fly. Do you know anything about Spanish Fly?

KING: When we were kids we used to-

COSBY: There you go. There you go. That’s all. I just wanted the recognition.

KING: Yes.

COSBY: Spanish Fly.

KING: We knew what it was.

COSBY: Spanish Fly was the thing that all boys from age 11 on up to death — We will still be searching for Spanish Fly.

KING: [laughs] That’s right.

COSBY: And what was the old- The old story was, if you took a little drop — It was on the head of a-

KING: Pin.

COSBY: -pin! And you put it in a drink-

KING: That’s right. Drop it in her Coca-cola — It don’t matter.

COSBY: It doesn’t make any difference. And the girl would drink it and-

KING: And she’s yours.

COSBY: -‘Hello, America!’ And there’s a story in there about Spanish Fly. So I think that everybody — any guy picking it up will just have a ball reading about that.

I get a lot of men whining at me whenever I say the words “rape culture”, but I don’t really know what else to call this sort of thing. A man is applauded for joking about sneaking substances into a woman’s drink which rob her of her sexual sovereignty, is catapulted into the highest echelons of fame, is seen decades later yukking it up with the nation’s most prominent interviewer about that same subject, and nothing is done about it until much, much later when he’s dragged to court and convicted at the age of 81 for actually drugging and assaulting a woman. That wasn’t a dynamic involving one man operating in isolation. He was uplifted by a society whose culture permitted and enabled such an attitude toward women’s sexual sovereignty.

I bring up rape culture from time to time not just because it’s an inherently toxic dynamic which destroys lives and has impacted me personally, but because I see it as inseparable from the constant transgressions of powerful people who seek to undermine the sovereignty of entire populations and nations. I truly believe that if our culture had a better understanding of what sovereignty is and how it works, everyone from serial rapists to imperialists to mass media propagandists would lose the societal framework in which they operate.

Power, when you get right down to it, is ultimately about control. The ability to control other human beings and decide what happens to them. The more control you have over human lives, the more power you have. Some exert totalitarian control over their spouse and their children, and within their homes they are all-powerful. Some exert control over entire groups of nations, and have the power of life and death over entire populations. Those individuals are the most powerful people in the world.

But in order to have control over another person, you must necessarily violate their personal sovereignty. You must find a way to get your will to override their own will for their own lives in order to control them, be it by physical force, legal compulsion, psychological manipulation, or rape drugs. This is why power-facilitating narratives advanced by governments, religions, education/indoctrination systems, and mass media outlets have aways explained to their audiences why it is in their best interest to subvert their personal sovereignty over their lives, their bodies, their reproductive systems, and their minds.

President Trump’s National Security Advisor John Bolton is a PNAC founder, a lead architect of the Iraq invasion, and once threatened to murder a diplomat’s sons for standing in the way of the rape of Iraq. He is the neocon’s neocon, and his respect for both national and personal sovereignty is so nonexistent that I would not be the slightest bit surprised to learn that he has raped his wife or anyone else. Sovereignty is such a non-thing in Bolton’s reality tunnel that he recently claimed that Russia giving Syria air defense systems to defend its own airspace “would be a significant escalation by the Russians,” and added that US troops are going to remain in Syria “as long as Iranian troops are outside Iranian borders, and that includes Iranian proxies and militias.”

To be clear, the US military is in Syria without the permission of the Syrian government, while the Iranian military and its so-called proxies are there at the invitation of the Syrian government to help combat the terrorist forces which have overrun the nation with the help of the US-centralized empire. Bolton is the kind of guy that crashes your party uninvited, drinks all the punch and knocks over the snack table, and when your boyfriend asks him to leave, he tells you he’s not leaving until your boyfriend leaves first. That’s essentially what he’s saying.

The gall it takes to say that your military will continue illegally occupying a sovereign nation for as long as its allies continue to do the thing that allies do is such a grotesque perversion of the concept of sovereignty that if more Americans had a better understanding of that concept John Bolton would have caused national outrage by saying it. But of course he didn’t, because they don’t. It’s just assumed that America is entitled to decide what sovereign nations do with their own allies, and that it is allowed to invade and occupy their land to force them to comply.

Americans accept this gross violation of sovereignty because they have been propagandized to accept it by the mass media machine which spends all day every day manufacturing support for the agendas of those who control the most humans. But this is a violation of Americans’ mental sovereignty, in exactly the same way slipping a rape drug into a woman’s drink is a violation of her sexual sovereignty. Just as Bill Cosby made it his life’s mission to try and manufacture the illusion of sexual consent from women using rape drugs, the most powerful people in the world have been using the mass media to try and manufacture the illusion of consent for their agendas of war, oppression and ecocide.

It is not America’s place to tell Syria and Iran what they’re allowed to do inside one another’s borders any more than it’s the government’s place to tell a woman what she can and cannot do inside her own body, whether that be having sex with whom she pleases or having an abortion if she decides that’s in her best interest. It is not the plutocrats’ place to slip manipulative narratives into the minds of the masses any more than it was Bill Cosby’s place to slip rape drugs into a woman’s drink. It is not America’s place to invade a sovereign nation and occupy its land to force it to obey its commands any more than it was Bill Cosby’s place to insert his penis into a drugged woman.

Power depends on systematic and relentless violations of sovereignty in myriad forms around the world, which is why powerful people act like such disgusting, rapey creeps all the time. In a healthy world, which I firmly believe we can create, a deep understanding of sovereignty in all its forms will replace this toxic dynamic in which the rapey fingers of power are constantly inserting themselves into lives, minds and nations in order to dominate and control them. In such a society, everything from rape to imperialism to propaganda will stand out like a black fly on a white sheet of paper and be expelled like a pathogen by a healthy immune system.

  1. TY CJ for your notes the last few days. Deep shit. I too (not me too party bs) have been abused but by men. Fuck all sexual predators. Why don’t you fuckers go jerk off? It is OTay. God told me!!! Wage Peace and Truth. (The D and R Kabuki Theater is what it is . Vote?!) U.S. opened a Base in Israel this week! Free Palestine. Prosecute War Criminals. Have a nice day. Love u

    1. Oh yeah… you’re from the other side of Earth… I’m in the Great Lakes region of North America… explains why your post is, to me, tomorrow… it’s 9:45pm Sept 27 right now for me… aside from that… some day the guy-talk in the bar will be… “You have en vitro kids, right?”…. “yeah”… “me too”.

  2. Powerful stuff!
Sovereignty and the culture of rapists…
    Rape and power.
    Control and subjugate.
    Rape of women, of workers,
of communities, of nations, of the planet….

  3. In 1955, when I was about 5 years old, my mother took me to visit her deceased father’s mother, my great-grandmother. My great grand mother was 95 years old. She was blind and bed-ridden, but she still had all her marbles and had a lengthy conversation with my mother. After our visit, on the way back to my grand mother’s home, my mother told me that if I was lucky enough to live as long as the person we had just visited, I too might be bed ridden, just like my great grand mother. After that sobering message from my mother “sunk in”, I did my best to put that rather horrible thought out of my mind. But what she had said occasionally haunted me. It still does today. I can still see my great grandmother lying in that bed.
    ..
My great uncle, who had been gassed in a trench during WWI and had as a result developed emphysema which plagued him for the rest of his life, died at the age of 70. I was age 12 at the time. I went to see his body in a funeral home and was shocked to see his sister put her hand on his forehead and, while crying uncontrollably, lovingly kiss him. I had nightmares for days. I tried my damnest to put what I had seen out of my mind — to think about his and my own inevitable death as little as possible.
    ..
When I turned 18, six years after seeing my great uncle dead in this coffin, the numerical day of the year of my birth was placed into a bin which contained 364 other numbers from 1 through 365. After some rotations of the bin, which supposedly mixed the numbers very well, a door on the bin was opened and the first number was pulled out and noted. Then the rest of the numbers were pulled out and each number was recorded in the order in which it was pulled out of the bin. This was the so-called Draft Lottery during the Vietnam war era:
    https://www.usatoday.com/vietnam-war/draft-picker
Luckily my birth date was pulled later in the draw and that meant that the draft quota for that year was reached before my birth date was drawn. It is difficult to explain to a young person of today the relief that I felt at the moment I learned that I would NOT be forced to serve in the US military and very probably march off to Vietnam to kill fellow human beings.
    ..
I had taken part in some anti-war demonstrations because I hoped that participating in such demonstrations would somehow make the US government pull its forces out of Vietnam. I was very naive. What I and thousands of others had done had absolutely no effect on an uninterrupted US foreign policy of human slaughter that was then, and still is today, driven by PROFIT.
    ..
US citizens of today don’t want to think about the slaughter that their government is inflicting on the world. Just like I did after seeing my great grand mother lying in bed and my great uncle lying dead in his coffin, US citizens can’t face the truth of what their nation has become — the greatest threat to world peace that has ever existed on planet earth.
    ..
Maybe some Americans did realize this and wanted to try to change the situation. Maybe this is why some people voted for a person who said during his campaign that it would be nice if we had a good relationship with Russia and that regime change was a bad idea and to bring jobs back to the US, etc. Were they as naive as I was?
    ..
Trump did make an effort. He went to Singapore and shook hands with Mr. Un. He went to Helsinki and shook hands with Mr. Putin. But look at the reaction of the poltical class in the US. Look at McWar’s funeral. Look at all the Russia haters ever single day on the MSM.
    ..
From what Mr. Trump said at the UN, it’s not looking good for world peace, folks. But I hope I’m wrong. Maybe things will go better the next time Trump meets Mr. Putin and he won’t get excoriated in the press.
    ..
IMO, the fate of humanity is going to be deicided long before 2020. Somthing’s gotta give and its gonna give long before 2020.

  4. If you males think rape culture is some tiny minority ideology you need to get with it. I suggest reading Feminist Current and understanding the huge number of sexual assaults that occur daily around the world. And to say that it’s the lower classes that rape is incredibly moronic and insulting. Rape culture occurs across national boundaries, class boundaries, racial boundaries, every boundary, and it’s getting worse daily. Lesbians are supposed to want to have sex with men because the men declare they are women. Girls in the United Kingdom are physically and sexually harassed daily at school and beyond (they are now allowing boys and men to join Girl Guides and lead Girl Guides if they say are female). Young males have been raised on porn since they could hold a phone or a computer and they chant, “No means yes, yes means anal,” publicly. Do men really believe they’re all such great guys and it’s just a few bad apples? I would suggest that you personally may not be a rapist, but I doubt you are free of male entitlement and privilege, including thinking some woman should service your every need.

    1. Susan, “…the huge number of sexual assaults that occur daily around the world.”

“Rape culture occurs across national boundaries, class boundaries, racial boundaries, every boundary, and it’s getting worse daily.”

Judging all cultures by lumping them all into one is, to be polite, at best intellectual dishonesty.

To lump all cultures into one in order to make the accusation is part of the Cult of Equality (COE) dogma. The COE cannot judge disparate cultures equally because to do so will expose the fraud of equality – cultures are not equal. Such blasphemy within the COE cannot be permitted no matter the reality.

But the simple fact is that White Western Civ does not tolerate rape. But in African and Middle Eastern cultures, for example, rape is not taken nearly as seriously as it is in the White Western Civilizations.

“And to say that it’s the lower classes that rape is incredibly moronic and insulting.”

How so? The only issue is whether or not it is true.

“Lesbians are supposed to want to have sex with men because the men declare they are women.”

Maybe so but how is that rape?

“Girls in the United Kingdom are physically and sexually harassed daily at school and beyond…”

And who exactly is doing the vast majority of these horrible crimes – White Britons or POC “refugees” from African and ME cultures?

“…(they are now allowing boys and men to join Girl Guides and lead Girl Guides if they say are female).”

And the Boy Scouts is now also taking girls and transwhatevers. So what? How is that rape culture?

“Young males have been raised on porn since they could hold a phone or a computer…”

So what? Young men are obsessed with sex (it is in their genes). Always have been , always will be. But that does not mean rape is being promoted. Or are you suggesting that porn should be outlawed? And who is performing in the porn that young males watch? Would that be women? Using the COE measuring stick then because some women are in porn we should assume all women are potential porn stars too. See the nonsense of lumping?

“[Young males] chant ‘No means yes, yes means anal,’ publicly.”

When and where and by whom did this take place?

“Do men really believe they’re all such great guys and it’s just a few bad apples?”

Your question begs a “conversely” question answer: Do you really believe men are all not great with only a few good apples?

“I would suggest that you personally may not be a rapist, but I doubt you are free of male entitlement and privilege…”

IOW while I might not be a rapist I am still an evil man because I am well, a man, right? Part of the Man Hating Culture feminists insist on creating.

And please provide an example of “male entitlement and privilege” that you think I enjoy?

“…including thinking some woman should service your every need.”

The only thing you know about me is that I am a male. And yet you attribute hostile intent on my part based solely on the fact that I am a man. More proof of a Man Hating Culture. Not so much proof of a rape culture though.

But just for the record I will let you know something else about me: I am asexual.

      1. #1) No one is interested in your sexual orientation.

#2) Why not read an essay by a man far better informed than you are, who is not a racist, and whose critical analysis leaves you in the dust?

        https://medium.com/insurge-intelligence/how-the-deep-state-made-commander-kavanaugh-an-intersectional-analysis-6cd09ebf8737

#3) Your racism disgusts me, and if you have no awareness of the privilege you experience being male and white you’re simply pathetic.

        1. Susan, “No one is interested in your sexual orientation.”

Then please do not bring up my sex life (of which you had no idea) and accuse me of sexual impropriety.

“Why not read an essay by a man far better informed than you are, who is not a racist, and whose critical analysis leaves you in the dust?”

I followed your link. To criticize that article would take way too much time and here is not the forum. I would only comment that just because you agree with an article that does not mean the author is somehow better informed than those who disagree with you/it. Since I do not know you and you do not know me it is impossible for you to know how informed I am. And I you. But I am willing to try to find some common ground. Are you?

“Your racism disgusts me, and if you have no awareness of the privilege you experience being male and white you’re simply pathetic.”

May I ask what is your definition of “racism”?

If I have privileges for being White and male it should be easy for you to inform me of what exactly are those privileges. Please do so.

  5. This article is exactly what I’ve been saying for decades, though you put into words and ideas more adroitly than I ever did. Perhaps, it is because it is only in recent years that I started to merge the two ideas, previously treating them as separate concepts.
I grew up in Philadelphia and even back then, before Cosby was famous, he had a bad reputation. I’m also proud to say that I was never a fan.
There’s really not much that I can add, except this:
I want to thank you for suggesting that I Google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’ It brought back many results, but with one exception, even those referencing a ‘timeline’ showed it from Constand’s accusation until his sentencing. However, for those that are interested, the one that touched on a greater number of complaints (though, almost certainly, all potential complainants did not come forward), is this:
    https://www.etonline.com/news/154160_timeline_of_bill_cosby_sexual_assault_allegations

  6. Dear Caitlin, There’s an extremely important form of sovereignty hijack that I keep hoping you will discuss.

I think you’ll agree with the logical progression that, if you can enslave ten people, you can accomplish the work, and enjoy the proceeds, of ten lives in your lifetime, if you can enslave 1000 you can, in that same sense, “gain” a 1000 lifetimes for yourself, if you can enslave the whole world you gain immortality. If you would read “Money and magic : a critique of the modern economy in the light of Goethe’s Faust” by H. C. Binswanger, you would learn that enslaving the world with debt based paper money is the central idea of central banking.

    It works like this…

Capitalist apologists reject the term debt slavery, claiming that no single individual is ever forced to borrow — but they are silent about the broader reality. New money comes into existence whenever someone borrows from a bank. That’s how it happens. There is no other generally acceptable mechanism available. When some one pays off a debt the global money stock decreases by that amount. If everyone paid all their debts, there would be be no money at all, anywhere, meaning that someone somewhere would have to borrow, (to accede to debt slavery), in order keep the marketplace alive.

So when you state, “You must find a way to get your will to override their own will for their own lives in order to control them, be it by physical force, legal compulsion, psychological manipulation, or rape drugs.”, leaving out debt as lever of control strikes me as a glaring omission.

    1. Martin, you are on to it. It is about debt enslavement. If only the average person would understand how central banking works there would be a revolution overnight. I highly recommend the book The Creature From Jekyle Island. It will open up eyes.

  7. Caitlin nailed it on the “war culture” part but is way off the mark on the “rape culture” stuff IMHO.

First let me state the obvious: Cosby is a Rapepig and got off way too easy. No excuse for his horrific behavior.

But to suggest that there is a “rape culture” implies that men support rape. As a man in his late fifties I can assure you that for every rapist out there there are 500,000 men who would love to be locked into a room alone with that rapist. The simple fact that feminists refuse to acknowledge is that the overwhelming number of Men are not monsters. We do not want to see the women in our lives be harmed or hurt in any way. Indeed to men it is our sacred duty to protect our mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, girlfriends, aunts, nieces etc. And yet the very same feminists bitch about that too. All men are damned if one man rapes a woman and all men are damned for having “toxic masculinity” for wanting to treat women as special beings needing special protection. Nonsense.

And I think there is just as much evidence of a skank culture and a gold digger culture as that for a “rape culture”.

    1. Agreed that most men possess character enough to respect women, but there is a minority, particularly those from privileged backgrounds and those who are powerful who think they are entitled to sexuality from whoever they choose to coerce it from. That constitutes the rape culture, because of the class of men who mostly have gotten away with it.

      1. Quang, I think that one percent of the population – whether they be rich or poor – hardly constitutes a “rape” culture. In fact I think it would be fair to say that most rapists come from the lower classes. But the left is not interested in those rapes. As you hinted, it is all about “getting the rich” for the left, not so much addressing real issues of rape and who exactly is committing them (hint: it ain’t straight White males).

Indeed, a good example of a real rape culture is on display throughout Europe with the muslim invaders (refugees my butt) raping and sexually assaulting women daily. The left not only turns a deliberate blind eye they make excuses for the attacks – “Europeans need to be more understanding about the invader’s culture…” IOW, it is all Whitey’s fault, the New Left’s mantra for everything.

This is the major problem with the New Left’s so-called values and principles. They are never evenly applied. They simply cannot be because if they were those same New Left arguments would be exposed as the fraud they are.

FTR, I am not a conservative.

    2. Not all men are rapists, just as not all whites are racists but the culture of patriarchy must be recognized as the destructive force that it is, just as the culture of white supremacy has imposed its criminal behavior on the world.

      1. Bless, “…the culture of patriarchy must be recognized as the destructive force that it is, just as the culture of white supremacy has imposed its criminal behavior on the world.”

Patriarchy is also the force that built the modern civilized world. Almost all of everything that makes your life easier and enjoyable is the direct result of White men. But do you recognize that? Patriarchy is the mortar of White Western Civilization. Remove it and Western Civ collapses. And that is exactly the goal of TPTB. But what replaces it?

Everyone especially women need to seriously ask themselves this question. Matriarchy? OK how exactly does that work? Something else? OK but what exactly?

Do not get me wrong. I think humanity is at a crossroads and needs to change direction. I just do not think it is proper to denounce the positive efforts made in the past by others whose shoulders we stand on today.

        w

        1. White patriarchal “civilization” is what we’ve had. There wasn’t another option. Your argument is akin to saying idi Amin or Pol Pot were taking care of their people. White men are responsible for horrific violence, both small and great. Had the Natives, from Hispaniola to Canada, been left to their own devices, might have achieved great things or still be farming and hunting to support small tribes. We will never know, since white men deliberately removed those choices. Yay! We live in the land of the free and the home of the not-so-fucking-brave. His-story tells us these guys were freaking AWESOME! Her-story says we’ve been raped economically, physically, politically and mentally. I, for one, am sick unto death, of rich white men telling me any damned thing. Not a one of them have hung diapers out to freeze dry at -10. Nary any experience mastitis, ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy, or being cat-called just for being out in public. Y’all penis wielders need to do us all a service and sit down and behave like y’all have expected us vagina holders to do, for millenia. Oh. I need to spell this out? Sit down and shut the fuck up, for a change!

          1. Sue, the history for almost all of Humanity is conquest. Almost every people and nation has been conquered or has conquered others. White men did not invent human nature. In a world of predation an apex predator will arise. This is Nature. That Whites rose to the top of this system does not make Whites any more evil than any of the races who tried and failed.

I will meet you half-way though. As a straight White man I will gladly accept the blame for whatever evils you think straight White men have done if you will also give us credit for all that we have accomplished. One provision though; whatever yardstick you choose to measure us SWM with you must, to be fair (we all want to be fair, right?), measure everyone else equally with that same yardstick. Deal?

Do you really think Native Indians did not also conquer each other?! They too fought over resources, just on a smaller scale.

“I, for one, am sick unto death, of rich white men telling me any damned thing.”

We might have some common ground here. I also do not want anyone telling me a damned thing either. Be it a rich White man or an Hysterical Feminist. Let us work together to diffuse all Power.

“Not a one of them have hung diapers out to freeze dry at -10. Nary any experience mastitis, ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy, or being cat-called just for being out in public. Y’all penis wielders need to do us all a service and sit down and behave like y’all have expected us vagina holders to do, for millenia. Oh. I need to spell this out? Sit down and shut the fuck up, for a change!”

Not too many women are working as tire changers on the side of the road changing a tractor trailer tire in -10 degree weather either. So what is your point?

No woman has any experience with having prostate cancer or testicular cancer either. Again, what is your point?

If men, especially White men, are so evil why won’t Hysterical Feminism demand an all female society? All they have to do is demand it and they will get it. Feminism Utopia is an option, yet no one wants to take it. Curious.

  8. Every top US official is complicit in an imperialistic rape of our world. I feel physically ill every time one of them pronounces on our wirld – it is ALWAYS selfishily greedily egocentrically predicated. And the mob in charge in Australia are lock-step tied to the US apron-strings! So no comfort here, alas!

  9. What goes around comes around, eventually.

  10. I agree with most of what you say Caitlin and Cosby got off far too lightly should be 15 years no parole and then he would certainly die in jail which is where he belongs. Rape and pedophilia should have min 15 year none parole sentences. I don’t agree however on a woman’s right to have an abortion on demand unless there are certain circumstances that are met ie rape or medical conditions as agreed by society in general. Yes I agree a woman should have total control over her body until the time of conception however then there is another precious life we have to consider. Would she be prepared to have a perfectly normal healthy baby delivered live and then personally kill the baby herself rather than have the doctor do it. I don’t think so. Its like the wars you are talking about quite correctly. Bolton and others can start the wars and kill millions of people but would they be just as keen if they had to personally go to war and do the killing. No I don’t think so. On the subject of control there is no greater control on this earth than the globe hoax.
The elites and their paid for and controlled scientists want to keep you subservient and don’t want you thinking too much or worshiping someone other than them. They don’t like the masses thinking outside of their scientism created globe. They want you to keep believing that we humans are a nothing in the vastness of an infinite universe and as such are not the least bit important and merely an insignificant speck of stardust.

  11. Bolton is a caracature of what every body thinks a neocon should look and sound like. Niki Healy and by extension the USA is the encapsulation of a Harpey eagle with powerful talons ready and willing to strangle the life out of any nation which can not defend itself . It is appropriate that the bald eagle is the symbol of the USA .

  12. You’re even better than what I thought.
The way you boiled down “rape culture” to the only clear explanation, “A man is applauded for … which rob her of her sexual sovereignty”, and the immediate follow-up to violation of sovereignty as main international crime, were very, very good. Continue, please.

  13. Once again, Caitlin, thank you so much for your rational, honest, overall perspective on what everyone needs to understand. As a man who has respected women as fellow HUMANS for all of my nearly 58 years, I can relate to everything you wrote here.

  14. To try another angle …

    You’re a psychonaut Caitlin.
What has that taught you about the duality of ‘self’ and ‘other’?
What does that say about concepts like ‘sovereignty’?

Does that mean all action is meaningless?
Probably. But it doesn’t mean we don’t act.
But we act according to our sense of what we are. What it is that makes us separate to everything else.
    In other words, nothing.
What we don’t do is act according to some great external rule or principle or compulsion. We just make that stuff up.
We don’t do it because it’s right or wrong.
We do it because it’s us.

  15. Maybe for society to understand sovereignty it would have to understand interdependence and power itself first, which would probably address a lot of the other problems closer to the root. And maybe it would emerge that ‘sovereignty’ is just one of those arbitrary concepts like ‘individuality’ and ‘freedom’ that people apply inconsistently to justify their preferred ideology.

    1. Cabrogal, I think I understand where you are coming from with this. My understanding is slightly different.

While it is apparently true that from the absolute perspective, there is no separation and all of this is the dance of Consciousness, it seems to me that from the relative perspective, the notion of sovereignty is a root principle that, if properly applied, recognizes and honors both perspectives. Ideologies emerging from truly sovereign beings will necessarily include respect for all (other sovereign) beings on the relative plane.

    > man is applauded for joking

Sounded like canned laughter. Maybe he alone thought this part was funny?

  17. WOW! I must say this is the most powerful piece you,ve endeavered to
write. Thank you. You have connected all the dots. Well said.

  18. I understand Bolton is an Israel -USA dual citizen, as are many other neocons. A dog cannot serve two masters….?

    1. Just like a number of Australian federal parliamentarians, too! Untrustworthy – no wonder Australia is so far up the nether regions of Netanyahoo!

    2. I just did a bit of research on this and came up empty. Do you have any credible evidence that Bolton is a dual citizen? I am, as you can tell, skeptical.

        1. Thanks for the reply, Barry. Those links do not pass my sniff test. But to each their own.
