new report from Brown University’s Costs of War project has found that at least 37 million people have been displaced as a result of America’s so-called “war on terror” since 9/11, a conservative estimate of a number that may actually be somewhere between 48 million to 59 million.

That number, “at least 37 million”, happens by pure coincidence to be the exact same number of Americans reported to suffer from food insecurity because their government spends their wealth and resources killing and displacing people overseas.

This inconvenient revelation, which was actually reported on by The New York Times for once, is causing conniptions for all the right people, with The Washington Post‘s neoconservative war propagandist Josh Rogin ejaculating, “The @nytimes should be ashamed for running this as ‘analysis.’ Blaming the U.S. for the displacement of 7 million Syrians is crazy and dishonest. Way to launder anti-American propaganda.”

Sure Josh, it’s not like the extremist forces who flooded Syria with the goal of toppling Damascus were backed by the US and its allies and sprung into existence as a direct result of the regional destabilization caused western interventionism in the name of fighting terror. Oh wait no that’s exactly what happened.

“This has been one of the major forms of damage, of course along with the deaths and injuries, that have been caused by these wars,” the lead author of the report David Vine told The New York Times. “It tells us that U.S. involvement in these countries has been horrifically catastrophic, horrifically damaging in ways that I don’t think that most people in the United States, in many ways myself included, have grappled with or reckoned with in even the slightest terms.”

Tens of millions of people forced to flee their homes in desperation as a result of the violence and destabilization caused by US interventions justified by the need to fight “terrorism”. How many Americans have indeed grappled with or reckoned with this in the slightest terms? Contemplated the scale and the depth of the suffering those interventions are causing real human beings with the same capacity for anguish as themselves? Asked themselves if the ends really justify the devastating means?

And, perhaps most importantly, asked themselves if they are quite sure who the real terrorists are in this situation?

The “war on terrorism” is just high-budget, mass-scale terrorism, and it creates more terrorism of the ordinary variety as well. Suicide bombings have been unequivocally shown to be almost entirely the result of western interventionism; they were simply a non-issue in Iraq and Afghanistan prior to US invasions there for example. The “war on terror” is not only terrorism itself, it is an established fact that it actually creates more of the type of terrorism it purports to eliminate.

And why wouldn’t it? Why wouldn’t destroying and destabilizing entire nations cause people to want to fight back against you? It is self-evident that it would, just using your own empathy and understanding of human nature. As Jonathan Marshall wrote for Consortium News in 2017:

The most authoritative new study of the sources of terrorism and insurgency on the continent, Journey to Extremism in Africa (September 2017), finds that what triggers many individuals to join violent groups are incidents of government-sponsored violence, such as “killing of a family member or friend” or “arrest of a family member or friend.”

“These findings throw into stark relief the question of how counter-terrorism and wider security functions of governments in at-risk environments conduct themselves with regard to human rights and due process,” concludes the report, based on interviews with more than 500 former members of militant organizations.

“State security-actor conduct is revealed as a prominent accelerator of recruitment, rather than the reverse. . . These findings suggest that a dramatic reappraisal of state security-focused interventions is urgently required.”

Numerous other experts have drawn similar conclusions from conflict zones in the Middle East and Asia. In 2008, a RAND Corporation report on Lessons for Countering al-Qa’ida warned the U.S. military to “resist being drawn into combat operations in Muslim societies, since its presence is likely to increase terrorist recruitment. . . . Military force usually has the opposite effect from what is intended: It is often overused, alienates the local population by its heavy-handed nature, and provides a window of opportunity for terrorist-group recruitment.”

Similarly, the Stimson Task Force on U.S. Drone Policy, composed of former senior officials of the CIA, Defense Department and State Department, warned in 2014 that U.S. strikes had strengthened radical Islamic groups in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

There is simply no doubt whatsoever that the “war on terror” does the exact opposite of what it purports to do in every conceivable way. This is an utterly and indisputably established fact.

So why does it continue, then? Why is this mass-scale project of intervention and occupation not just continuing but actually escalating, despite the fact that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that all it does is create more misery, displacement and terrorism?

Easy: because that’s exactly what it’s designed to do.

Perhaps the single greatest scam ever devised is the way the US-centralized empire found that it can kill and displace people in geostrategically crucial and resource-rich regions under the guise of fighting terrorism, then when violence and extremism inevitably arises out of that mass-scale trauma they can use it to justify even more interventionism under the guise of fighting terrorism. It’s an endless self-reinforcing positive feedback loop of violence, and it enables imperialist forces to move ever more troops, bases and war machinery into the areas they need to lock down to help them choke off nations that disobey them.

The more devastating interventionism there is, the more people want to fight the forces that are inflicting that devastating military interventionism. The more people want to fight the forces that are inflicting that devastating military interventionism, the more devastating military interventionism can be justified to an American public that doesn’t grapple with or reckon with it in even the slightest terms.

And the oil keeps flowing. And the money keeps stacking. And the beat goes on.

We are ruled by monsters.

  1. Another bullseye by Caitlin, focusing like a laser on the heart of the problem.
    .
Being in Oregon right now, checking emergency alerts to see if the fires are coming my way or not, I’m forced to focus on what a major trauma it is to be displaced from one’s home. Displaced is such a bland word for what it means to have your world upended. I imagine 40 years of precious things, and memories specific to a place, yet The Weather Channel just followed a man in California to see if his house was still there, and he wept with joy that his shitty trailer that’s he’d only had for six months was still there. He said he now knew where he’d be sleeping tonight.
    .
The news has been rightly highlighting the fires on the U.S. West Coast, and many people are suffering real trauma, yet the number of homes destroyed is very tiny compared to 37 million. 37 million is closer to the total population of Washington, Oregon, and California.
    .
And the TV news hasn’t mentioned how over half of Oregon’s firefighting helicopters are in Afghanistan right now, not fighting fires. I saw details on I think Consortium News, but I can’t find the link now.
    .
How many in the U.S. have been forced out of their homes by eviction? I saw a video recently that appeared to be a reporter covering an eviction of a young couple with two very young children. A cop banged on their door and told them to get out, he made noises like he cared, by still stood by ready to inflict violence on them if they didn’t flee immediately with only what they could carry, and leave the rest of their belongings behind. They piled children’s clothes and diapers on a stroller, and walked away as fast as their toddler could walk. The reporter asked them about the rest of their things, and the young man said someone would have to throw them in the trash, because they could not carry them, had no vehicle to move them, no place to put them, and no one to help them. It’s not exciting like bombs and wildfires, it’s just the banality of the evil of everyday capitalism.
    .
But hey, my TV says they hate us for our freedoms.

Before the virus, I would have agreed with you that the war on terror was the greatest scam in history. Now, after watching what governments around the world did in response to the virus, en masse, as if following a pre-planned script, I believe the COVID is the biggest scam in the history of the planet. As bad as the war on terror has been, its effects have been far more localized (not for one minute am I trying to minimize these effects) than the effects of the draconian measures implemented by nearly every government on the planet in response to the “threat” posed by the virus. We will never be able to quantify, or to understand, the breadth of the devastating effects imposed on the world’s people by the pre-planned and draconian measures implemented by authoritarian governments everywhere.

  4. The War on Terror is a scam that the whole world is in on. Apparently all the world is a stage, but we’re not so much the players as we are being played. Biden and Trump proved that today, at Shanksville.

  5. Voting has been fixed in this country since “Honest” Abe Lincoln prevented troops suspected of being Democrats from being furloughed to vote during the war, since Samuel Tilden was robbed of the presidency in 1876, since “Landslide” Lyndon Johnson proved the importance of the dead vote during his 1948 Senate “victory,” which was rubber stamped by ex-KKK member Hugo Black, who went on to become a “liberal” Supreme Court justice, to cite a few glaring examples. It is not “Russia” corrupting our electoral process.

  6. Actually, Ms. Johnston, the so-called “war on terror” was only one part of “the greatest scam ever invented.”

The ultimate “greatest scam” is the endless tsunami of Big Lies that hide the fact “American democracy” is naught but a clever euphemism for zero-tolerance white-supremacist Capitalist dictatorship intent on world conquest perpetuated by unabashed German-Nazi-style ecogenocide.

Anyone with a lick of sense should know — indeed should have known from the beginning — that the conquest of 13 British colonies by slavemasters and banksters leading an armed rabble of lynch-mob anarchists would either soon be crushed by more civilized peoples or be allowed to fester into precisely what it has become: Global Public Enemy Number One.

    1. Is there any way to edit posts on this website? I accidentally misspelled Ms. Johnstone’s name but can find no way to correct my error.

and in your typepad sidebar i see a common error:
“german nazism”?? there’s only mixrace nazism, a better way to put it would be: ‘germans cucking nazis’ … or ‘nazis worshipping germans’ … it took the jews as long to subvert the jesuits as it took the latter to ‘conquer’ rome [and much may they accomplish with their ‘ownershipwreck heading strait for them].

this was meant for your latest on the subject but i found comments closed …..

“No one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end.”-George Orwell
    ~
What the past 20 years have proven is that the United States government poses a greater threat to our individual and collective freedoms and national security than any terrorist, foreign threat or pandemic.
    ~
In allowing ourselves to be distracted by terror drills, foreign wars, color-coded warnings, partisan politics, pandemic scares, and other carefully constructed exercises in propaganda, sleight of hand, and obfuscation, we failed to recognize that the United States government-the government that was supposed to be a “government of the people, by the people, for the people”-has become the enemy of the people.
    ~
Indeed, the United States government has grown so corrupt, greedy, power-hungry and tyrannical over the course of the past 240-plus years that our constitutional republic has since given way to an idiocracy, and representative government has given way to a kleptocracy (a government ruled by thieves) and a kakistocracy (a government run by unprincipled career politicians, corporations and thieves that panders to the worst vices in our nature and has little regard for the rights of American citizens).

Right on, Caitlin. I am as surprised as you are that the NY Times actually reported this, and not at all surprised by the formula responses from Josh Whatshisname. I imagine that the Times still thinks anybody with brains listens to it.

  12. As a sign of how little American politics has changed in the last 50 years, Hunter S. Thompson wrote the following in Rolling Stone the summer of 1972.
    ————-
“McGovern is very sensitive about this sort of thing, and for excellent reason. In three of the last four big primaries (Ohio, Nebraska & California) he has spent an alarmingly big chunk of his campaign time denying that behind his calm and decent facade he is really a sort of Trojan Horse candidate—coming on in public as a bucolic Jeffersonian Democrat while secretly plotting to seize the reins of power and turn them over at midnight on Inauguration Day to a Red-bent hellbroth of Radicals, Dopers, Traitors, Sex Fiends, Anarchists, Winos, and “extremists” of every description.

The assault began in Ohio, when the Senator from Boeing (Henry Jackson, D-Wash.) began telling everybody his advance man could round up to listen to him that McGovern was not only a Marijuana Sympathizer, but also a Fellow Traveler…. Not exactly a dope-sucker and a card-carrying Red, but almost.

In Nebraska it was Humphrey, and although he dropped the Fellow Traveler slur, he added Amnesty and Abortion to the Marijuana charge and caused McGovern considerable grief. By election day the situation was so grim in traditionally conservative, Catholic Omaha that it looked like McGovern might actually lose the Nerbraska primary, one of the kingpins in his overall strategy. Several hours after the polls closed the mood in the Omaha Hilton Situation Room was extremely glum. The first returns showed Humphrey well ahead, and just before I was thrown out I heard Bill Dougherty—Lt. Gov. of South Dakota and one of McGovern’s close friends and personal advisors—saying: “We’re gonna get zinged tonight, folks.””
    ————-
Notice of course that the exact same tactics are being deployed right now. But, not against an insurgent Democrat who was anti-war from the beginning and had organized a campaign to be within inches of taking the Democrat nomination, but today, in a surrealistic scene, we see the exact same rhetoric about Trojan Horses aimed at the Senator from MasterCard who’s never done a think in his life that corporate America does not approve of. In other words, its as dishonest now as it was then.
These are the nuts and bolts mechanics about how a weak democracy is manipulated to keep the oligarchs and generals in power. This is how the wars continue on and on and on …. It is easily defeated, by educating mass amounts of the people as to what is going on. And the McGovern campaign showed that this can be done even by a no-chance, one-issue radical candidate.

  13. From its failed War On Drugs, the U.S. government learned some ways it went wrong and now uses those ‘improved’ (?) techniques in the war on terrorism. However, no matter how successful (?) that war is, most Americans are not shown the worst atrocities (t took roughly two years before the U.S. MSM made any mention of the starvation of more than 20,000 Yemeni civilian women and children at the hands of our disgusting ally, with the benefit of untold amounts of U.S. supplied armaments. And that’s not the worst of it.

I wonder how many would say, as I do, that my government, which is supposed to represent me, does not have my permission to commit those crimes against humanity in my name. Individually, I am to told and powerless to do anything about it, but to repeat those words over and over and over again – and to hope that some listen and learn and pass the word on. If, in a matter of a couple of days, a lie told on Facebook can be believed by 100s of millions of people, why then cannot the truth do the same?

    1. Except, even though the “worst atrocities” are not shown on the corporate news, everyone still knows about them. It is precisely those atrocities in the War on Drugs that have the huge crowds of people protesting in the streets against the police who’ve committed those atrocities.
Take a look out the window, and you’ll see people who don’t believe they are powerless and are doing something about it as you speak. And maybe even, you could do something radical like walk out the door and join them.
      ————–
One true fact about every revolution in history. To find out what is going on, you have to go and be a part of it. The people who sit at home and watch tv will never know what is happening. No government, or gathering of oligarchs, will ever publicize the movement to overthrow them.
There are only two choices. One is to join the revolution. The other is to sit at home and take in what the Emperor tells you and to thus by default support the Emperor. The Emperor does not mind if you sit at home and complain about him. In fact, modern Emperors encourage that.
What scares the Emperor is that you might decide not to sit at home any longer.

  14. That is precisely why US centcom has been designated as a terrorist organization by The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Resistance Axis. That is also why International war crimes cases are being pursued against the US government, and its officials.

    1. And why the US government now officially has sanctions in place against members of the International Criminal Court. A regime that sanctions the court designated to investigate war crimes is waving a big red flag as to their own crimes.

  15. Even a massive blast unleashed in Lebanon was unable to revive the now uninteresting “war on terror” that has been moving product on the MSM for 20 years ?

    1. I love the way you can spot the people who follow the Real Donald Trump on Twits.
After all, Dementia Don is the only person I can think of who’s claimed that this tragedy was some sort of terrorist attack.

  16. The War on Islamic Terror is over the covid panic -demic aka the War on Viral Death has replaced it. Please try to keep up ? The millions of Winston Smiths in the various Ministries of Truth work very hard editing history for you benefit ? Your lack of interest or outrage at the horror show unfolding in Australia is depressing as well.

  17. I dont believe in coincidences nor do I believe in spontaneous destruction.
    Lets make a few assumptions.
    1. The false war on drugs was winding down and needed to be replaced.
    2. 9/11 was not conceived and executed from afganistan by bin ladem with saudi citizens.
    3. DHS was thought up 10 years before with a need for a cause.
    4. The 1000+ page defense act appearing a week later was prewritten
    5. The war on terror officially replaced the war on drugs.
Do you see a common theme or is it all just a string of coincidences.

  18. MKULTRA and the CIAs War On The Human Mind, book reviewed and summarized here:

  19. Greatest scam is Civid-19 false flag. 9-11 is second greatest false flag, or scam.

    1. It’s one thing for the deep state to reduce three skyscrapers to rubble and kill some 3000 people in the process in order to set the stage to wage endless geopolitical war, and quite another thing for plutocrats to unleash an unknown and unpredictable global pandemic that would screw up the neoliberal economy for the foreseeable future (and perhaps permanently), when that economy was ALREADY allowing the plutocrats to bleed everyone else dry. The former is easily understandable; the latter, at least to me, absurd.

  20. “We are ruled by monsters.” Yes, but who are WE? “(A)n American public that doesn’t grapple with or reckon with it in even the slightest terms.” Young radicals knew back in the 1960s, thanks to Frantz Fanon and others, that the oppressed often participate in their oppression or at least help to facilitate it. So if we are ruled by monsters, oppressed by them as they oppress others even more brutally, it is because WE, the so-called people, do not grapple even slightly with that monstrous fact, do not en masse condemn and confront the bastards. At what point, I ask, does this mass denial or indifference make the citizens monsters as well? I sometimes think that continually calling our leaders monsters or sociopaths or psychopaths is a bit of a cop out, a facile means of avoiding a terrible truth about the vast majority of the American people…perhaps including ourselves.

    1. Carolyn L Zaremba Avatar
      Carolyn L Zaremba

Be careful with that “we”! Take your self guilt to a decent psychiatrist. Perhaps it makes you feel better to just blame the working class for its “indifference” so you can excuse the crimes of capitalism.

We, the working class, are not monsters. We are ruled by monsters. The best of us resist. I myself have been resisting since the 1960s. The monster of all monsters is world capitalism. Karl Marx told us this 172 years ago. The worst thing is those who continue to be fooled by the Democrats, but these are mostly the bourgeoisie and well off people. The working class is awakening at last and there will be hell to pay on both sides.

      1. What percentage of American citizens would you say have been active resisters since the 1960s? Are we talking about the same country?

  21. There has never been a more errant misnomer than “The War on Terror”. Terrorism is a tactic, it’s not an enemy. Equal in its error to a “War on Military Hardware”, or a “War on a Virus”. And so, such “Wars” cannot end, because they do not target an enemy, but a tactic that any enemy might use. All tactics of war have a common goal, inflict pain and suffering upon the enemy until they surrender, or change their behavior. One tactic, drone assassination for example, is not morally superior to any other tactic, such as terrorism. In fact, one could argue that ALL tactics are terrorist. So, we continue the forever war on war itself by using war.

  22. That’s been the plan for a very long time, especially between Soros and now only one of the Kolk brothers, that those refugees will eventually end up in Europe and destabilize that continent, and the merry-go-round just keeps spinning around and round. I must not have had any where near enough sleep last night, because I’m right at the point that I think that maybe it would be better if people just plain and simply don’t exist anymore. Sure, monsters rule the world; but why shouldn’t they? Look inside the souls of all those pathetic victims and on lookers and what do you see? Just another one of those Walter Mitty, petty tyrant’s. Maybe I’ll be more generous tomorrow, but today I see too many people who don’t question their evil gods and therefore themselves.

  23. Thank you for this piece Caitlin. Media plays up people displaced but no one every addresses why they are displaced. I guess we are supposed to assume it is their bad government so the US can send in its saviors.

    1. Thanks Sean, This is a little to the “everything’s fine” end of the spectrum from my perspective, a family doctor, testing and treating in public health in Austin, Texas.
However, it is useful counterpoint, and a very useful cognitive model to hold in parallel consideration. By my best estimate, about 22% of the people in Texas have been infected by now.
Take 5000 units per day of vitamin-D for the rest of your life, please!

  26. Good on David Vine for grappling with the catastrophic realities that U.S. “involvement” purposefully produces in countries that stand “in the way” of full spectrum dominance.
Of all horrific possibilities in this world, the senseless violent loss of a beloved child must be one of the worst. The war of terrorism that emanated from the lie that was 9/11 has has made that horrific possibility a reality for many.
At the age of 27 I suffered the early and unexpected death of my mother (she was just 54). My own grief was immeasurable. But it was the grief of my grandparents as they literally clutched and carried each other walking away from the gravesite that struck me the most. (They had also lost my mother’s younger sister at age 9). No one should ever have to bury their children. But that’s what war does. A war OF terrorism directed against civilian populations. We ARE ruled by monsters.

  27. The monsters have their own monuments with their goals set in stone in plain sight. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones. Depopulation agenda also in full swing to achieve desired target. Very dubious mandatory vaccine to follow shortly. Soon be there. Slavery for the survivors. Global reset. All on the back of [imaginary] money & usury. Come on 99.9%, it really really is time to turn the tables.

  28. Ah, the Buddha Ms Caitlin speaks the truth! The United States is a masterful charade of lies and hypocrisy. We invade other countries ” to spread democracy “; it is not our fault that our money is under their land. We are liberating them and our money at the same time. We are wonderful and very exceptional. To say otherwise is a form of treason; you need re-education!

  29. Sorry, Caitlin,
A scam indeed, but still doesn’t compare to that perpetrated by the zionists in the mid 19th century when they conned the entire world into accepting that followers of the Jewish religion were explicitly chosen by “God” to be not only the one, true, exceptional faith, but to be a people, a nation, a race even, and entitled to their own homeland. And the world has been suffering the consequences ever since. Hence the scam To which Caitlin refers.

    1. Yes “We are ruled by monsters” to put it bluntly; or “ruled by psychopaths” in clinical terms. Psychopaths come in all shapes, colours and races. Zionists are not the only perpetrators of sinister hidden agendas. Winston Churchill was on record advocating mass bombing of civilians to turn unsuspecting Germans against Hitler and after the war US forces held millions of German soldiers in open air barbed wire prison enclosures where many died of starvation, exposure or disease. Go find and read eye witness accounts on websites and libraries which do not censor ugly facts.

      1. Agree with everything you say, Tired, including about Churchill in both ww’s. (If you haven’t already, read Docherty & Macgregor’s “Hidden History: the Secret Origins of the First WW.” ) Actually, Zionists played a lead roll in both. And yes, I’ve also read Dr Robert Hare’s books on Psychopathy. Cheers.

  30. Um, we Americans now seem to be fighting mindless wars on two major fronts: i) everywhere else in the world and ii) at home in the streets of our own cities. We just can’t get enough of the old ultraviolence, can we?
    .

If you want to count our ever escalating rape of the planet for the sole purpose of maniacally creating more dollars from precious natural resources, beauty and sustenance, we’re enjoying wars on three fronts. May we lose them all, as assholes such as we so richly deserve.

    1. Carolyn L Zaremba Avatar

Stop with this usage of “we” and “our” unless you are in government. We the people are not responsible for the wars. The decision to be at perpetual war with the world is the product of imperialism and always has been. The imperialists have little regard for the lives (and deaths) of millions, even in their own countries. I really hate it when people like you try to blame the majority of the world’s population for the crimes of imperialism.

      1. Get real. It is American citizens filling all the ranks in the military from generals to privates. It is American engineers and skilled workers building the doomsday weapons. It is American bankers and financiers reaping all the monitary rewards from these endeavors. It is American unskilled labor doing all the shit work that props up the whole sorry outrage. It is American voters who won’t vote out the demons whom you want to alone hold responsible. It is American voters who are negligent in apprising themselves of the malefactions of the sinners on top whom you want to alone hold accountable. It is the vast army of American idiots working in the media who happily dispense the propaganda used to bamboozle the public, from the millionaire talking heads on television to the grunts who man the cameras, create the audio-visual effects, write the commercials, deliver the office mail, and conduct polls to ascertain whether their propaganda is being effective or not.
        .

It’s jackwagons like YOU who smugly deny any responsibility for facilitating the really huge number of Americans who do make matters worse through their acts of commission and/or omission. Whether an American is literally overseas compliantly shooting at the natives to earn his or her living, or in the streets of Kenosha trying to effect the political philosophy of whomever masterminds BLM, Antifa, or the other cadres of so-called social justice workers, they are a very real part of the problem and NOT a solution.
        .

Whether an American is working at one of the network headquarters in NYC, writing for the NYT or WaPo, or involved in the production of obscene movies or TV series promoting the glories of war and American military action and incessantly slandering our presumed “enemies” with lies and false flag operations whilst safely ensconced in Hollywood, they are part of the very guilty warmongers in this society.
        .

I could go on, and on, and on. There is no shortage of collaborators against peace, justice and rationality within this country. There is no shortage of idiots just itching to engage in acts of domestic social unrest, including the current widespread rioting and looting, in this country either because they are not just warmongers but hatemongers or as stupid, uninformed and un-analytical as you seem to be.
        .

Same for those who persistently deny that we are rapidly fouling our own nest, despoiling our own environment, changing our own atmosphere and climate and recklessly depleting essential resources all for what are essentially selfish immediate economic reasons, NOT well thought out scientific arguments with the long term welfare of human society in the balance.
        .

The number of Americans collaborating in this insane mass movement are legion, not rare birds whom you would chose to make isolated scape goats. Read the damned on-line forums to acquaint yourself with this reality. Damn right we can accurately speak of American collective guilt (as well as human guilt writ large) as this complex constellation of shit is deliberately set in motion with orders from on high, to be sure, but with the knowing acquiescence of most of our population.
        .

And, no, you cannot buck that system without making great sacrifices that most of us find far too daunting. We would rather take the crumbs they throw our way to STFU than to put everything at risk. We’ve seen what happens to those who make waves, and we’d rather be left alone. It’s not that most people are oblivious, and if they are, whose fault is that? Have you no obligation to learn and act upon truth rather than acquiesce to bullshit that holds dire consequences for others, perhaps all? Why should there be no consequences attached to that CHOICE?
        .

Sorry, you do NOT receive a “get out of jail free” card from me.

        1. “There is no shortage of collaborators against peace, justice and rationality within this country.”

Absolutely true. There couldn’t be such high levels of war, injustice, and irrationality within this country were there a shortage. Your examples (and yes, one could go on and on) of “collaboration” strengthen the case for what is already logically self-evident.

  31. Interestingly enough, Trump let the cat out of the bag with his latest salvo which has been completely been ignored by the MSM: “And it’s one of the reasons the military — I’m not saying the military is in love with me — the soldiers are. The top people in the Pentagon probably aren’t because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy,” he said.

“Some people don’t like to come home, some people like to continue to spend money,” Trump continued. “One cold-hearted globalist betrayal after another, that’s what it was.”

  32. The rehearsals/training videos for violence, wars, executions, property destruction, assassinations, looting and pillaging have been running via Hollywood and on our television setsfor at least 70 years.
The US is PROGRAMMED to wreak havoc.

  33. If you exchange the eagle for the swastika you can understand the picture. The nazis who rule the Earth are the ancient aristocracy descendants who are today called presidents instead of kings. The actual German nazi intellectuals–operation paperclip for example– run the Americas and they are brutal and carry out genocide per usual as the solution to so many resisting native peoples. Psychopaths all:they have no compassion, no empathy, and no therapy for them. They are murderers. How does one defend oneself against murderers who are looking for you?

    1. For what it’s worth, I think we’ll win through collectivism. And an awareness of class struggle. The bigots and warmongers are slowly dying off.

  34. The wars for cheap oil have cost many lives.

    1. The wars for FREE oil have cost even more !

  35. finally, WTC vaporization declassified > 911history.de

  36. ‘ Suicide Bomber ‘ and ‘ Claimed Responsibility ‘ are usually complete BS generated by the ZIONIST owned media !

How does ISIS get a media ‘voice‘ when Syria and Yemen are silenced ??

‘Suicide Bomber’ = “ No need to investigate because they blew themselves up “ !!!

‘Claimed Responsibility’ = “ The perps have admitted it and now we can go after them and leave in our wake unlimited carnage and collateral damage “

    It’s a SCAM !

  37. It’s the epitome of the self-licking ice cream cone.

  38. The sheer scale of the USA’s cruelty is staggering. It makes Nazi Germany look tame by comparison. That a single country can, over a relatively short period of time, inflict so much suffering – not just on its own people but on other countries around the world that refuse to bow to its will, is terrifying.

What makes it worse, in my view, is that it has all been done in the name of good, right, democracy, justice, liberation and many many other false justifications.

I can deal with a country that doesn’t pretend much to be other than it is, such as China, Russia, and some of the Islamic states. With them you know pretty much what you’re getting. But when you look at the extreme hypocrisy of the USA empire, it arouses so much anger. No wonder the USA is the target of so much so-called terrorism.

It has brought it all on itself.

    1. LOL, you want to talk terrifying? Just wait until they finally obtain their, ‘Total Domination’, and realize that they’ll treat your children the same way we treat suckling pig (tastes about the same they say, and it’s Kosher).

    2. Yes, it’s the hypocrisy that creates that sense of perpetual nausea … Fear not though, there are all sorts of approved remedies for your nausea … just make sure to stick with your meds …

  39. How do we take the joy out of fighting and looting and rioting in the streets of America?
We make it not fun by removing the thrill of the chase and the thrill of the fight – we contain the rioters and the night time looters – so that all that is left is the boredom of walking around and yelling into the wind all night. We accomplish this with numbers and curfews. We request the assistance of the National Guard – of course we request the assistance of the National Guard! – so that we have the sheer numbers of trained personnel to contain the bullshit looters and keep out the bullshit “militias”.
That’s how we work our way through this.
We accommodate protester voice through new elections/plebiscites, and we contain criminal tag-alongs with sheer numbers of trained public safety officers.
Together, these actions change the story that we tell each other about the crimes that are committed in the name of a just struggle, AND these actions change the story that the wannabe and the confirmed criminals are able to tell themselves.
That’s exactly how the May 1968 riots in France were defused.
De Gaulle, under pressure from his #2, Georges Pompidou, finally accommodated demands for government change by agreeing to new elections. At the same time, the Parisian police, backed by the French military, contained the protesting students by avoiding pitched conflict and preventing the takeover of government buildings.
But that’s not going to happen in 2020 America. In fact, the opposite of this is going to happen. Why?
Because it’s not just the Antifa/MAGA Militia goonies who are positively giddy with excitement at the prospects of this post-apocalyptic world. It’s not just these clowns and criminals and wannabe culture war heroes. It’s also every media organization that covers the night time “protests”. It’s also the Republican party AND the Democratic party, both their elected officials AND their party apparatchiks, who are intentionally amplifying the Ego whispers to their proxies through their MSM and social media platforms for a perceived electoral advantage.
It’s not the Russians or the Chinese doing this to us.
    We’re doing this to ourselves...
So today, neither the Trump campaign nor the Biden campaign can see the United States through anything other than the lens of a pure competition game.
Neither campaign or party will take the necessary steps to defuse the growing violence in American cities…

    1. Did you notice how many black people in the USA were killed today by the police? look at the web site”killed by police.” Anyone outside the “13 families” and the “three hundred supporting families” are to be killed so that the Earth will be left to the half billion elites and their supporters. The fascists on top state over and over that there are too many common people. The weird society they created with useless eaters as consumers is blowing up in the face of its creators, so they are doing away with the whole show. That’s what the bio-warfare agent covid 19 is about. That’s what the war on terror is about. That’s what conflating old people dying with covid 19 deaths is about.

      1. Not covid. Covid is a harmless trial balloon for the real killer coming in the next year or so.

      2. I agree with both these comments. To a certain extent, the working class in America has benefited from American imperialism abroad, as the standards of living here are much higher from the looting. As for Trump and Biden, like male cats, they are competing to see who is the most Sinophobic and hawkish toward China. (which, BTW, has nukes). Warmongers all.

    2. All you have to do is arrest a few hundred people and keep them locked up and the riots would disappear. Oh well, probably just wishful thinking.
