A lot’s been happening really fast. It’s a white noise saturation day and it’s impossible to keep track of everything going on, so I’m just going to post my thoughts on a few of the things that have happened.

Biden has announced plans to roll out new domestic terrorism laws in the wake of the Capitol Hill riot.

“Mr. Biden has said he plans to make a priority of passing a law against domestic terrorism, and he has been urged to create a White House post overseeing the fight against ideologically inspired violent extremists and increasing funding to combat them,” Wall Street Journal reports.

Did you know that Biden has often boasted about being the original author of the US Patriot Act?

The first draft of the civil rights-eroding USA PATRIOT Act was magically introduced one week after the 9/11 attacks. Legislators later admitted that they hadn’t even had time to read through the hundreds of pages of the history-shaping bill before passing it the next month, yet somehow its authors were able to gather all the necessary information and write the whole entire thing in a week.

This was because most of the work had already been done. CNET reported the following back in 2008:

“Months before the Oklahoma City bombing took place, [then-Senator Joe] Biden introduced another bill called the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995. It previewed the 2001 Patriot Act by allowing secret evidence to be used in prosecutions, expanding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and wiretap laws, creating a new federal crime of ‘terrorism’ that could be invoked based on political beliefs, permitting the U.S. military to be used in civilian law enforcement, and allowing permanent detention of non-U.S. citizens without judicial review. The Center for National Security Studies said the bill would erode ‘constitutional and statutory due process protections’ and would ‘authorize the Justice Department to pick and choose crimes to investigate and prosecute based on political beliefs and associations.’

Biden’s bill was never put to a vote, but after 9/11 then-Attorney General John Ashcroft reportedly credited his bill with the foundations of the USA PATRIOT Act.

“Civil libertarians were opposed to it,” Biden said in 2002 of his bill. “Right after 1994, and you can ask the attorney general this, because I got a call when he introduced the Patriot Act. He said, ‘Joe, I’m introducing the act basically as you wrote it in 1994.’”

A recent Morning Joe appearance by CIA analyst-turned House Representative Elissa Slotkin eagerly informed us that the real battle against terrorism is now inside America’s borders.

“The post 9/11 era is over,” Slotkin tweeted while sharing a clip of her appearance. “The single greatest national security threat right now is our internal division. The threat of domestic terrorism. The polarization that threatens our democracy. If we don’t reconnect our two Americas, the threats will not have to come from the outside.”

“Before Congress, Elissa worked for the CIA and the Pentagon and helped destabilize the Middle East during the Bush and Obama admins,” tweeted journalist Whitney Webb in response. “What she says here is essentially an open announcement that the US has moved from the ‘War on [foreign] terror’ to the ‘War on domestic terror’.”

In response to pressures from all directions including its own staff, Twitter has followed Facebook’s lead and removed Donald Trump’s account.

And it wasn’t just Trump. Accounts are vanishing quickly, including some popular Trump supporter accounts. I myself have lost hundreds of followers on Twitter in the last few hours, and I’ve seen people saying they lost a lot more.

It also wasn’t just Trump supporters; leftist accounts are getting suspended too. The online left is hopefully learning that cheering for Twitter “banning fascists” irrationally assumes that (A) their purges are only banning fascists and (B) they are limiting their bans to your personal definition of fascists. There is no basis whatsoever for either of these assumptions.

Google has ratcheted things up even further by removing Parler from its app store, and Apple will likely soon follow. This push to marginalize even the already fringey social media sites is making the libertarian/shitlib argument of “If you don’t like censorship just go to another platform” look pretty ridiculous.

This is all happening just in time for the Biden administration, about which critics had already been voicing grave concerns regarding the future of internet censorship.

The censorship of a political faction at the hands of a few liberal Silicon Valley billionaires will do the exact opposite of eliminating right-wing paranoia and conspiracy theories, and everyone knows it. You’re not trying to make things better, you’re trying to make them worse. You’re not trying to restore peace and order, you’re trying to force a confrontation so your political enemies can be crushed. You’re accelerationist.

A Venn diagram of people who support the latest social media purges and people who secretly hope Trumpers freak out and attempt a violent uprising would look like the Japanese flag.

The correct response to a huge section of the citizenry doubting an electoral system we’ve known for years is garbage would have been more transparency, not shoving the process through and silencing people who voice doubts and making that entire faction more paranoid and crazy.

Supporting the censorship of online speech is to support the authority of monopolistic tech oligarchs to exert more and more global control over human communication. Regardless of your attitude toward whoever happens to be getting deplatformed today, supporting this is suicidal.

  1. If you ignore a politician’s enforcers and they attack you, does that make them domestic terrorists?

  2. Will ths apply to BLM , Antifa, Democratic party?
“Mr. Biden has said he plans to make a priority of passing a law against domestic terrorism, and he has been urged to create a White House post overseeing the fight against ideologically inspired violent extremists and increasing funding to combat them,” Wall Street Journal reports.

  3. As if to demonstrate EXACTLY how bad the Censorship is getting – The Richard Medhurst tweet in this article can’t be clicked directly from the text… Let’s see if it will work in the comments.

    1. Legitimizing Democracy

Can real democracy exist with capitalism? In many countries lobbying is illegal since it is akin to bribery. The difference between lobbying and corruption lies in the fact that lobbying is a way of seeking influence which is accepted within the laws of a given country while corruption is illegal.

In the USA it is legal which has resulted in the buying off of if not all, almost all of those who have been elected to represent the wishes of the public. And those with the most money, the corporatocracies and billionaires have the ability to influence the most.

It is similar to the fact that those with the most money have the most options available, which translates obviously to the most freedom while those with very little money have the least options available and hence, the least amount of freedom, which by itself creates an unjust system.

The history of American government is riddled with hundreds to thousands of scandals going all the way back to the beginning(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_political_scandals_in_the_United_States). There should be a course in all the schools just on the scandals to alert the public to how corrupt the government is and has always been, rather than being swept under the carpet so to speak and hence forgotten.

The world we live in is like a dirty fish bowl, it is so full of corruption, contamination, and unethical behavior. And like fish perhaps, people get so accustomed to it that they either believe it is impossible to end or they become numb to it.

All the abuses, the criminal behavior of the police, the marginalization of minorities, the endless wars and injustices, can be attributed to this. Extinction and tyranny are what humanity is now facing as the end result of this negligence. Call it karma, call it redemption.

The United States government that Americans are so proud of is founded on over 300 years of slavery and the genocide of the indigenous people. “When Columbus arrived in 1492, it’s estimated that 5 million to 15 million lived in North America. The number declined sharply to fewer than 238,000 by the late 19th century.” (https://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1199196.shtml).

It seems obvious that our 2 party system limits the range of choices of the American people. If both candidates are highly dubious to the thoughtful voter, the reality is that the only choice one has is to vote for the one perceived as the least evil or corrupt. This makes a mockery of democracy.

In a real democracy there cannot be secret agencies with no accountability or money produced by a private agency that falsely calls itself the Federal Reserve that charges interest on every dollar printed.

Openly spying on the public for our safety, our health, for whatever reasons is contrary to the ideals of a real democracy. Undermining attempts at democracies in foreign countries is hypocritical to a country that espouses freedom (http://www.biostat.jhsph.edu/~rpeng/docs/ciabooks.html).

All of the above seems rather obvious yet strangely it is overlooked and we have patriots who are proud to be Americans, which seems exceedingly foolish considering what I have pointed out above, Recently they invaded (were allowed in by the guards) the White House to prevent the accession of Biden to the presidency because they believe that the votes were fraudulently counted, the controlled media falsely overreacted by calling this an attempted coup which results in the left calling for further censorship to prevent this from ever happening again.

It seems that the main distinction between humans and the rest of the animals is that humans are the only insane animal. The dodo bird went extinct because it couldn’t fly from its predators, humans are going extinct because they cannot self-organize sufficiently to live peacefully, harmoniously and justly with respect for the environment of which their lives depend on.

To separate the influence of money on government, all governments need to be restructured from vertical to horizontal, decentralized, direct bottom up democracy, by and for the people, which is virtually incorruptible. I have produced, scripted and am the voice over in this 7 minute animation that explains horizontal governing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wywMhg604W8&feature&fbclid=IwAR13K_MvGI1HmXV4GIIlIL7fq6dAXa8SEm6E_zwsMNkypo6ZivOtX3Nb9GY

Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke out Sunday on the deadly US Capitol riot carried out by supporters of President Trump, likening it to the infamous Kristallnacht pogrom — but offering hope that it, like so many hardships before, would only make America stronger.

  7. It is this article, and other like this that inspired me to actually start producing videos on these subjects. I hope my videos compliment Caitlin’s writings. Enjoy..

    1. I meant “others”

      1. Thoughtful, well-done, extremely effective video. Please keep making them as long as “they” let you. And then, if “they” continue to cut you off from the internet, find other ways to express yourself. We’ll figure out a way to hear your voice and others like it.

  8. Do people not realise that censorship is provocative?

  9. Newton, you will be pleased to know that this past November the Orange Man On Whom We Like To Blame Everything signed into law a bill that makes intentional cruelty to animals a felony and a federal crime. It includes snuff films.

    1. Thanks, S Black. I’ll give Trump credit for that, along with a few other things. When it comes to preventing animal cruelty, I’ve been told that the most progressive nation on earth at the time of WWII was, believe it or not, Germany.

  10. If you are quoting a source you use quotation marks, Chump. Without such you are claiming attribution, you idiot.

  11. If Trump was ever genuinely sincere about resolving the ’fake’ media issues; wanting more transparency in government conduct, now’s the time to prove it, before it is too late, for all of us.
Immediately grant Julian Assange a full pardon and drop all the utterly false and malicious charges against him. Set him free today!
And then, as your only institutional act of grace, resign; yourself, to face the consequences of your own fraudulent conduct – putting it mildly.
Show the world what a true Christian is.
Let there be at least one bright spot in your dark legacy.

    1. You are clueless

  12. Biden has announced plans to roll out new domestic terrorism laws in the wake of the Capitol Hill riot.

As a labeled domestic terrorist this does not make me happy. If I post in a two-week notice on my website that I resign from domestic terrorism will I be safe or am I going to get the boot up my ass.

I am worried. I don’t think they will accept my resignation and once on a list you don’t get off of it.

Trouble for me started with Obama. George Bush had the decency to be a quiet voyeur. Obama had to let me know he was there.

Considering what has happened to me I should be more worried. With Trump going I feel a dangerous calm. Things were getting bad. In the last few months the alphabet soup teams have been looking for ANTIFA., Going so far as making sure some of the links on my website do not go where they are supposed to go.

Since I’m fond of using the term ‘Fascism Lite’ to describe power in America you can guess what the morons think I am.

The 2000 cell brain of the the money machine says the terrorism budget must be spent and renewed and grown. The human cells in the brain make the front end of the profit worm turn and Biden announces plans to roll out new domestic terrorism laws in the wake of the Capitol Hill riot.

    Whackamole the dissidents.

As if having everyone under 24/7 phone surveillance was not enough.

Someone please remind Joe a good parasite does not kill its host. I don’t want to go yet.

    1. The way they’re talking is indeed scary and I hope they will not harm you or any of us. The phrase, “Whackamole the dissidents” could be outrageous and silly enough to shock them awake. Might make a nice bumper sticker. Hang in there.

    2. “Since I’m fond of using the term ‘Fascism Lite’ to describe power in America you can guess what the morons think I am.”
With all due respect, terms like fascism and communism have become as meaningless as liberal and conservative. They are now used as pejorative terms. Fascism isn’t my cup of tea, but while it was certainly corporate business friendly, it was anti banker usury, and they actually raised employment standards for workers In most cases, it was nationalistic. The US, and virtually all of the rest of the Zionist occupied “Western liberal democracies” are run by the international banking cartel and their extensions which are entirely about devastating national interests and seeking lower employment costs.
It is no accident that the banking cartel funded the Bolsheviks in Russia. The cartel is a commune with its own politburo, not really different than the old Soviet one. They decide the winners and losers. Their political whores pretending to be governments do their bidding.
As flawed as Trump is, his mildest of criticism of globalism was dangerous. The boot is coming down, alright, and terms like fascism or communism will be thrown around without people really understanding the context. It won’t be fascism, it will be the communism of the international banking cartel.

The idiot counterfeit pope was saying recently that now we have come to a point where only collective effort is needed, no individual effort can lead to salvation?
Remember that these Marxist ideas about collective effort are dangerous.
That’s how politics enters into religion.
“Men want to be in control, they want to be their own masters. And so, salvation does not come, the consolation of the Spirit does not reach us”
“no one reaches salvation by themselves”
    Pope Francis
Religiousness is utterly individual and will always remain individual.
Never become a victim of the idea of the collective, the collective is lower than you.
    You have to become universal.
The universal is not social, the universal is existential.
Three words will have to be understood.
The collective, the individual and the universal.
The collective is animal, the individual is human and the universal is divine.
When a person enters into meditation he does not become a part of the collective, he becomes dissolved into the universal which is a higher point than the individual itself.
But politicians and priests always talk about the collective.
In a group they feel good, they belong to a certain community, the chosen few, the elite, the heralds of a new world which is going to come, the leaders of the new world, the supermen, the first race of the super-men.
    They feel very good.
They are always interested in changing the society, because in changing the society, in making efforts to change the society and the structure of society, they become powerful.
But the society has never been changed.
It remains the same, the same rotten thing.
And it will remain the same unless it is fully understood that all consciousness changing happens only in the individual.
And when it happens, the individual becomes universal.
If it happens to many individuals then the society is changed, but not as a social thing, not collectively.
Each individual being transformed changes the society.
When many, many individuals are changed, awakened, then the society changes.
That is the only way to change it, not the other way round.
Remember this: politics is collective, religiousness is individual, spirituality is universal.
It is not a philosophy to be understood, it is a transformation to be gone through.
It is not something like information, it is not even reformation.
It is total change, it is absolute radical change.
    All divisions have to disappear.
Human consciousness is one, that has to penetrate deep into our hearts.
Only then can this world be at peace.
    Live in the present.
Live in the meditative quality of the present.
The present is eternal, the present is life itself.
It is always here and now, an eternal now.
    Live moment to moment.
Live here and now so that whatever you are doing becomes a meditation.
Meditation is an attitude not an activity, so whatever you do can become meditative.
The so-called meditation that many people go on doing is not meditation.
Meditation is the attitude of being in the present which is the core, the central, the essential thing.
    So be aware.
Remain in the moment, the moment that is occurring exactly where you are, right this very moment.
Truth is found not through thinking but through meditation, not through thoughts but through a process of no-thought.
Remember this: the process of no-thought, which happens only when you are fully aware in the present.
When one is centered in oneself, one becomes one with the whole of existence.
This is the only true and authentic ‘Great Reset’

That group is attacked from left and right when they oppose certain view the left and right possess. Otherwise, a wonderful piece as usual!!!

  15. Welcome to the united states of china friends.

Wednesday proved a couple of things:
    1. There is only one party in this country and it is the bought and paid-for chinese communist party made up of 100% democrat and 82% republican politicians. Those not playing that party line are being purged as we speak.
    2. Because of extreme bribery, back-mail and corruption throughout all three branches of government the American presidency is powerless without the backing of china and their free trade created globalists.

Beijing Joe already laid out the plans given him for the first 100 days of his puppet regime.
He will impose through EOs the following immediately: (This is just the beginning)·

    -Nationwide face mask mandate
-Nationwide full lock-down of the entire country (that will hasten their destruction of the middle class ensuring there are only two classes left soon, the ruling 1% and the dependent 99%.)
-Nationwide assault weapons ban without grandfathering so prepare to give the army and police all your semi’s and allot sooner than you think.
-Opening of the borders completely to all comers with the promise of free everything at your expense (never theirs).

The typical American “patriot” including those who showed up Wednesday in DC does not have the resolve to go to war and risk losing all they have right now. These patriots have responsibilities, jobs and bills to pay. Unlike the dependent class slaves who possess no societal responsibility such as antifa and blm who were paid per day for their rioting. Only when the new world government actually affects them personally and drastically will they stand and fight, by and large by themselves. The globalists who control this new government are counting on that. 70 million together is a revolution. 70 million independent and separate patriots are easy pickings and just criminals to their fake “morality” who will die independently. The young lady Wednesday is a tiny preview of what is coming to all who stand up for their rights. When they left DC Wednesday, freedom died with their departures. No right wing protests will be allowed there again.

Prepare yourself for the purge that is coming for everyone who is not a leftist reprobate. Repent now and obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ while you still can. If you do not repent and obey the Gospel you will acquiesce to this new world government and WHATEVER LIES they tell to save your life down here. The biggest part of this trade-off will be the lying hoax vaccines with RNA nanos containing jellyfish (hive mentality) genomes and ID chips in your hand to prove your “green” status to live outside of lockdown. Soon after, this same chip will allow you the only access you will have to your own digital finances and the only way to buy and sell. This manufactured RNA will most likely be the deliverance mechanism for the Strong Delusion the Lord warns us of. This will condemn you for eternity. It is coming hard and fast for you so keep your eyes open as long as you can. Very soon Big tech will be appointed to run the FCC and they will run it after China’s example. Websites like this one will be removed from the internet period leaving only MSM CCP propaganda and lies. This also is coming very fast. Remember China will only chair the ten horns, the real betrayer of man will soon rise to prominence in this new world order. Here is a hint: The Abraham Accords.

Don’t mistake this 70 year average physical life for your real life friends. Your real life or real death comes after this body dies. Choose wisely and realize right now that your physical life is merely your interview or audition for eternity.

“The Boot Is Coming Down Hard And Fast”
Perhaps a song from years ago by Nancy Sinatra foretold our current crisis and embedded within it a ‘problem-reaction-solution’ (Ordo ab Chao):

‘These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.

You keep lying, when you oughta be truthin’
and you keep losin’ when you oughta not bet.
You keep samin’ when you oughta be changin’.
Now what’s right is right, but you ain’t been right yet.

These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.

You keep playin’ where you shouldn’t be playin
and you keep thinkin’ that you’ll never get burnt. Ha!
I just found me a brand new box of matches yeah
and what he know you ain’t had time to learn.

These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.
Are you ready boots? Start walkin’!’ (End)

Comment: It’s clear now that The Plug may be pulled on this whole ‘net thing at any moment. Given that, may all of you who seek Truth and the Path of Our Source Creator be granted wisdom, strength, and courage wherever you are and in whatever you will face as these days of chaos fully descend upon our lands. May this subhuman-generated darkness never claim our pride and our Spirit.

    1. I truly love this song.

      Here it is:

  18. More proof that the U. S. had been – and still is – on a slow slide toward complete totalitarianism. The problem is that, even the group of people who feel something is wrong, but don’t know what, think that it is coming from the side of politics that is their opposition. There are those of us who realize that the politicians are just pawns in the global chess-like game of Takeover. Politicians, for the most part, do what the oligarchs – those who fund their campaigns and control their political lives, permit them to do.
Yesterday’s invasion of the Capitol had no chance of survival. Just as America has no long-term future, if those on the right and left cannot get along, it is necessary to recognize that the oligarchs are the real enemy. Both sides must join forces against the oligarchs, even if each retains its own positions. It’s time to recognize that only such a joining, against a common enemy, will ever give the U.S. citizens the freedoms that they mistakenly believe that they still have.

I will answer my own question. We have nuclear weapons and quantum computers, these only exist because the human intellect developed them though. Next question, how does the Human mind work?

I say the human mind works logically. By that I mean it connects dots or pieces of information which it uses over time to develop perspectives or  form conclusions, which is what I am doing now. I am taking assumptions, information that I believe I Know and working them in order. Next question, What are the pitfalls of Human intelligence?

The pitfalls of Human intelligence are 1 It is housed in a  ‘black box’ where you cannot see the workings, People can ‘put on a show’ and lie all day long or as long as it takes. The logical process is not recorded nor seen and is simply electrons firing. 2 It is housed in the ‘self’ and is thus biased by design and circumstance. The ‘process’ may break down according to the wants and needs of the self. 3 It is a limited perspective in time and space, which may affect the conclusions formed.  4 It is fragile. it’s performance may depend on energy levels or emotional reactions that affect the conclusions formed. Question; How do we collectively and individually address these issues (the failings of Human Intelligence) at present?

We address these issues by choosing  ‘Leaders’. We collectively and Individually turn to aggression towards others as we are competing intellects forming perspectives and conclusions which vary. Question, what is  the result of this ?

The result is conflict born of cultures and beliefs which can become radically different due to the perspectives of those within the culture and the ‘errors’ that manifest and where allowed to flourish and the leaders who possess power and must retain it by appeasing these beliefs.  Now the important stuff. How do cultures address the obvious (to some) ‘errors’ manifest and flourishing within their culture?

They address the obvious errors by 1 ‘holding the line’ as they say, they do what comes natural, they stick together. Societal pressures are developed and these act as an opposing force to independent thought. 2 They dress  up the ‘errors’ in pomp and tradition with great fanfare. Question; why does all this matter?

It matters because you have to know your enemy or your failing in order to take action. The people adding to our despair are just individuals showing the failings of Humanity and how we concede the power of the Human Intellect to those failings. These individuals contribute to the societal pressures to accept obvious  flaws and support the pomp they dress them up  in. Would T.V. anchors or Sixty Minutes seem so acceptable if there was no brand, background music, concerned voice tones and set? So what do we do?

In the age of computers and internet connectivity we must develop a forum that enables us to form conclusions and perspectives with fewer errors that stands quarantined from the clinging needs and wants of the ‘self’ and the need for power to support self-interest.

We can continue to come here and vent, which is good in many ways.  I just don’t  know that is will really get us what  we  want.  There is war. War is what has always been used as the reset for two opposing perspectives  The problem there is that the core issues (error allowed to flourish) is never resolved so the peace never last. Is there another solution though now that we have computers and the Internet. That is the Trillion dollar question.

The threat represented by a small nation in the eastern Mediterranean receiving the equivalent of approx. $6k per capita while our legislators balk at even giving our fellow Americans in need $600 must also be taken into consideration. Our nation does not need to be polarized as long as keep our eyes on the ball … ”

  25. This article is an over-reaction.
It is a useful comment that we do not want private entities, oligarchs or not, to be the judges of what can be published on the social web sites. Nor do we want the élites in government to do this. But there ought to be standards of what can be promulgated, some public entity representing different facets of opinion, with appeals possible, to govern the airwaves. Incitement to murder? Arson? Rape? … These are not trivial issues, and there is no easy answer as to how to “regulate” the performance of monopolistic social media outlets.

    1. Sane people cannot be incited into murder, arson, or rape. The answer to hate speech is ALWAYS more speech, not censorship.

      1. What would you do with a snuff-film? Whether or not they actually existed back when they were talked about, would you want such things on the internet, videos in which people (or animals for that matter) were sexually abused and tortured to death? How does more free speech address such obscenities, such utter abominations? We could go on and talk about child trafficking sites, etc., but do you, Skip, really want to see an internet where anything and everything goes, even the most unspeakable things? Certainly there are reasonable lines here that need to be drawn. The trick is to determine what they are and who should draw them. And right now, Caitlin and many others are very justly concerned about that trick being used to silence legitimate and necessary disclosure and dissent.

        1. I would think there are laws against kidnapping and murder.

          1. Yes, Clint, but we’re talking about movies of them, representations. We make and watch all kinds of movies involving kidnapping and murder, do we not? Obviously, the perps of such crimes should be arrested and prosecuted, but what about those who merely make and show movies of them? Not fictional or historical accounts but live action. And apart from criminal issues, should we allow such movies, as a matter of cultural values, to be shown? To take it a step further, should we allow even a fictional or animated version of a snuff-film to be shown to the general public? For many like me who believe in a robust right of free speech, such questions are not quickly or easily answered.

            1. Newton, you will be pleased to know that this past November the Orange Man On Whom We Like To Blame Everything signed into law a bill that makes intentional cruelty to animals a felony and a federal crime. It includes snuff films.

        2. There are obvious serious crimes being committed with the making of snuff films, etc. Those crimes should be prosecuted. There is also the old argument of yelling “fire” in a crowded theater, etc. I realize there are some reasonable limits and that it is not a complete black/white issue. However, I think we should proceed with great caution in determining those limits. I would rather continue to navigate through most of the perils of an open internet than see legitimate speech censored, even ideas that I personally find loathsome.

          1. And I tend to agree with you. Better to err on the side of free expression than censorship.

    2. You are like a text book example of what I continue to attempt to have readers here understand. Honest or dishonest you introduce, murder Arson and Rape all of which are illegal already and inject these into a conversation about censorship of legal (presently) comments, opinions. You fooled Newton and I am sure confused many others. You are speed bump to understanding.

      1. That’s what I thought too. Of course incitements to murder, or to commit arson or rape, are not trivial issues. Such incitements have already been dealt with in legal code. Free speech isn’t as complicated an issue as some make out.

      2. Fooled I may have been, Clint–I’m certainly not immune to that–but I’d love to see your answers to the questions and issues I pose. Most of us here are deeply opposed to the censorship of ideas and opinions, but don’t you agree that free speech, like all rights, have reasonable limitations? And if so, then we can’t avoid determining what they are and who makes them, can we?

    Dont call them terrorists:

  27. Well, it’s way too difficult to address centuries of white nationalism, the religious right, and institutional corruption. Especially after letting it get elected (again). Shutting up annoying voices on social media is way easier.
Humans have alternatives to social media for communicating. Maybe there’s a bit of optimism in that the challenges of the last year have revealed how inept and corrupt US authority actually is. Exploit the weaknesses.

  28. Seriously, who is Bidens constituency, please?
Election reminds me of bugs bunny and daffy duck arguing about whether its rabbit season or duck season and daffy seizes control of argument.

  29. “The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself. That, in it’s essence, is Fascism, ownership of government by an individual, by a group or by any other controlling private power” – FDR

“Their final objective toward which all their deceit is directed is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection.”- Henry Wallace , FDR VP

I think these two quotes accurately describe our current situation. Using FDR’s definition of Fascism, I would argue that the Fascists were the ones inside the Capitol who have long been representing those “controlling private power.” It is ironic that they use this particular term to describe those of us commoners who feel totally unrepresented by out elected officials. And Facebook and Twitter are among those private “groups” exercising monopoly powers.

    1. A government powerful enough to pick the winners and losers is a government that will eventually be captured by the winners.

      1. It is the Government itself that has been captured by “controlling private interests”. They are picking the winners and losers. They are controlling all three branches of Government.

  30. Social media was an addictive cesspool even before censorship. Who gives a shit, just get off it, boycott it, censor yourself and delete your accounts. It’s a Plato’s cave of false shadows signifying nothing.

    1. Yes. It was never so easy for the people to disarm thier overlords.

Exactly. It doesn’t matter if you are a progressive or a conservative. Ending free speech is fascism. It’s what fascism is.
So, conservatives are not fascists. Progressives are not fascists. Fascists are those who oppose freedom of speech and transparency, the foundations of democracy.

  32. Great article, Caitlin!!! Keep up the good work!

  33. It’s true that “the left” is now actively banning “the left.” But if we’re using the same term to describe opposed groups, then maybe something’s wrong with our political language. And if there are limitations in our language, perhaps we’ve been viewing the society through the wrong lens. We can only generate the political leverage necessary to combat these authoritarian initiatives if we’re using an accurate model of the political system.

  34. Those who seek wisdom and power have tended to also have an interest in the realm of “secret knowledge.” After all, who wouldn’t want a fast track toward their desires? Who wouldn’t want to believe that their destiny is to be rich, privileged and powerful? Who wouldn’t want to believe that they were chosen out of a few to hold special qualities (one could say supernatural) that make them superior to the majority?
The Scottish Rite was formally organized in the U.S. in 1801, as a group of Tory partisans on the losing side of the American Revolution. One of the principal men involved from the very beginning was a British general by the name of Augustine Prevost. Prevost had conquered Charleston, South Carolina, and set up a secret police apparatus there which became the Scottish Rite headquarters, after the British Army left.

  36. Excellent article Caitlin, gracias. It seems that only you are seeing thru the smegma. The whole exercise/theater would have been fun if that woman hadn’t been shot dead in cold blooded murder. And incredibly, the arrest of the guard who killed her has been entirely overlooked, it seems.

OMG an attack on our sacred democracy. What is democracy when the choice is Trumpty Dumpty or Biden China? How stupid can people get? There is nothing sacred about this dumboxery. Nor, is a country founded on slavery and ethnocide something to take pride in. I am definitely not proud to be an american. I finally escaped to Ecuador in 2010, here the gov’t. sucks just like everywhere else, but living in the mountains makes it easier to swallow/to ignore.

  37. Slotkin.

  38. I made a comment on Twitter about Nancy Pelosi and I had my account suspended. I just made a comment on Facebook about Donald Trump and I had my account suspended. Big Brother is real and it doesn’t like dissenters or truthtellers. Dark days are ahead for ALL of us.

  39. The ‘attack’ on the Capitol was the Biden gang’s ‘Reichstag Fire’, a False Flag op by Antifa agents provocateurs in collusion with the police (who escorted a busload of them to the Capitol), a classic False Flag.
And just as Hitler blamed the Communists, so Biden’s gang is now blaming Putin! Old habits die hard.
As Mandy Rice-Davis would say, ‘They would say that, wouldn’t they?’.

  40. Like the first so-called ‘War On Terror’, this second one is based on a False Flag op, this time by Antifa working for the Biden Camp, in collusion with the police, to act as agents provocateurs.

  41. The Harris/Biden administration, together with the big tech companies and the plutocratic class, will establish a political-correct totalitarian state the world has never seen. Freedom of speech will be gone. Look how the fat cats such as Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the propagandists from CNN excepting only conform opinions. CNN has already called for a shutdown of FOX news. Comparing what’s coming up, Orwell’s predictions were zip.

    1. Free speech existed long before the internet and social media. It’s inherent in human nature, in the human condition. For millennia before the internet, people used more direct and personal ways of sharing ideas and opinions, of informing and inspiring each other. As Caitlin indicates, the day of voicing a dissenting and subversive opinion to the world (including but not limited to anonymously) without triggering seriously adverse consequences, may well be drawing to a close. Speaking truth to power, as best one can see that truth, has often been at a price, sometimes a steep one. Such, for example, is the gospel story. The question of the hour is whether we still have the strength, courage, and conviction to pay that price, so demoralized and dehumanized have we become by neoliberalism. Do we cave, silence ourselves to stay safe, or find new, creative, more risky ways, if necessary, to continue calling out the bastards and condemning the evils they inflict on the world? Haven’t many of us suspected for quite some time that the PTB would attempt to deny advocates and agents of change the awesome power and scope of the internet? Let us fight this like hell while we can. But if they are successful, should this cowardice and intimidation of the PTB be allowed to halt the revolution/evolution we’ve been seeking, or simply re-channel it? That remains, always will remain, OUR call.

  42. First there is a represented government, then democracy (rule of the mob), then dictatorship (because of the chaos)….

  43. The propaganda machine is beginning to normalize the idea of detaining citizens against their will under the guise of covid.

How many are already cheering the arrest of “domestic terrorists” who only a day or two ago were simply protesters?

In both cases, it is simply to start small before really bringing the hammer down. More propaganda please. Whoever is pulling the strings has no compunctions whatsoever.

See how many are trying desperately to signal their worth to the new paradigm. The behavior is so observably ludicrous. At least they are not in denial like the head scratchers.

It doesn’t have to be this way, but because of the actions of a few, things are going to get far more unpleasant no matter what the end result. Ending it quickly right now would entail the least amount of pain for the most amount of people. The new rulers, whoever they really are, do not give a rat’s ass about your precious existence. Or non-existence. They very likely would prefer the latter. Or maybe they let you live to eat bugs.

    1. To the new rulers we are just like the chickens on a factory farm – to be managed, have our work and tax dollars harvested for their use. We are ‘production units’ with no humanity; only things to be manipulated, used, and controlled. Or thrown in the garbage if we don’t comply or we get to old or sick to be of any use to our overlords anymore. G-d help us.

  44. It’s ironic isn’t it?
The WWW, polished and perfected by the MIC and hubristic oligarchs, has turned full circle to bite them on their shiny, bloated arses.
The WWW, being ubiquitous and chaotic is UNCONTROLLABLE.
They can tinker at the edges but Frankenstein’s monster is LOOSE and morphing into their worst nightmare.
    We live in ‘interesting times’

  45. I’m not shocked anymore of anything emanating from the U.S. these days. Much of what’s coming down the track has already been predicted by people who have kept close unbiased attention on developments. No one can deny, the aspirations of Biden, they have been clearly displayed and executed by him over the years. I have grown tired of asking people to judge such people by their actions in the past, not by what they are promising today, yet very few people even bother to look closely at such a statement, and dismiss it out of hand. Here we are today, allegedly replacing one Idiot with another who is simply a hollowed our carbon copy of the previous sitting Pres, and folks think, or believe, things will be different this time around ? It’s pathetic. Dare I say, maybe it’s time people reaped the results of their stupidity ?

    1. What’s so striking about Biden is his absolute and comprehensive mediocrity. His personality traits that immediately spring to mind when I am compelled to think about him are his endless deceits, shallow mentality and nasty temperament. How he got this far up the political food chain is a testament to plain dumb luck and the perennial need for compliant flunkies by the real powers behind the throne. His picture should appear alongside the entry for “useful idiot” in the dictionary. Having served his purpose as the warm body needed to garner votes to extract Trump from office, his usefulness should be pretty much over. I suspect that President Camacho of Idiocracy would have accomplished more in his term of office than this clown will. At least Camacho could speak coherently.

    2. As if Biden is going to magically become coherent, and institute any policy not handed to him by his handlers. His past actions are irrelevant. His handlers have far more evil and devious plans on the table.

  46. You could see the discussion become less abstract. By last week, these people were sharing maps of D.C. They were talking about having enough of them that they would be able to erect basically their own cadre around the entire area of Congress. They had a map of the tunnels [in the basement of the Capitol], and they were talking about how they’re going to be able to stop Congress from leaving. They imagined that this was the day there were going to be mass executions of Congressmen.

But a lot of them also just imagined they were going to be there for this historic time when Trump pulled away the curtain and revealed that all of Congress were traitors and then took his just and equal revenge. There were a variety of characters: people who were there to watch Trump gain control and people who thought Trump would win, but only by activating the military, [with] a proper military coup that they supported. They thought they were there to go and purge Congress. They were there to stop the certification. They were there to punish those who went against Trump. When you put them all together, you get this explosive mixture.

Still think it wasn’t a real coup attept Caitlin???!!!

    1. Apparently Caitlin was not in the loop, as you seem to have been. Sounds like you should have been the guy wearing the buffalo horns.

      1. Truth hurts.
        Apparently you were there.
Wich makes you an accaessory to capital murder.

        1. YOU’RE the one describing what went on amongst the group, not me. Sorry but your desperate hand waving does not alter reality.

            Yo, Smelly Butt,
If you are quoting a source you use quotation marks, Chump. Without such you are claiming attribution. You are as dumb as Biden.

    2. Seems more likely that Arieh Kovler was involved in planning the Antifa false flag. There was no reason to doubt their would be a protest. Which presented the opportunity for the false flag. Curious how “dangerous” such a tiny “riot”, even in the unlikely event it wasn’t a false flag, gained such MSM and establishment abhorrence while it supported far worse “peaceful riots” all Summer. Which claimed far more lives, and destroyed far more livelihoods and property. Never mind there has been very little violence in evidence committed by the Trumpists, if any. I am NOT a Trumpist, I just point out evil when I see it. The evidence claiming a false flag is expanding, rapidly. A thing used quite often by the Psychopaths In Charge for more than a hundred years. “Remember the Maine.”

      1. You’re a joke.
        Never forget that.

    3. I know for a fact that it wasn’t a real coup attempt. They had no more chance of taking over the government with a small group of idiots than they had of taking over the government by praying, no matter how bad they secretly wished it turned into a military coup. There was never any chance that it would become a military coup, and if you think there was it’s because you think the greater power dynamics of the US empire are beholden to squabbles between Democrats and Republicans. If you think this was a coup attempt, then you think people praying for Trump to remain in office after January 20th is a coup attempt, because they have the exact same chance of succeeding.

      1. Well CNN is calling it a coup attempt and they never lie about stuff like that.

      2. Nevermind those air force officers involved. One of which is a retired Lt. Colonel directing his fellow coup plotters from the Senate floor while holding hand restraint zip ties.
Caitlin, you’re pretty much nothing more than a tRump boot licker.

        1. You’re only going to be able to masturbate your idiotic narrative that I’m a Trump supporter for another few days.

        2. And you are a classless individual

  47. No – I don’t remember and how do you you know it is even factual ??

Heard it on the Radio ???

How do you even know Hitler wrote Mein Kampf ??

“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

ALL major wars to date have been sponsored by the Rothschilds !!

The VICTORS write the history of war !!

    1. Actually Jack, the evidence you desire to hear, that Hitler really did write Mein Kampf is right here in my hands. My father passed down to us his PERSONAL copy all soldiers of the Third Reich were given a signed copy when they were conscripted. Any question that such a signed copy was not legit back in the day, is pure wishful thinking. B.T.W. this copy is a genuine unabridged original writing, not like the stuff you pick up today.

      1. Good to know that old Dolf was the one who started the tradition of every presidential candidate publishing his extra special life story prior to the campaign. Old Bomber, however, should have titled his “Sins of My Father”…for the sake of the country.

      2. Every US serviceman in WWII was given a pocket Bible with a signed letter in it from FDR. As a rare book dealer I constantly get inquiries from people who think they’ve found a genuine FDR autograph. Of course it is not, just a facsimile, and so was Hitler’s. Neither leader would have had time to personally autograph millions of books!

This whole mess reminds me of a skit that Lilly Tomlin used to do as an AT&T operator on a comedy show I can’t remember the name of back in the ’70’s about the monopoly that AT&T had on telecommunications for decades. The punchline was “If you don’t like it, get two Dixie cups and a string”. Eventually AT&T was broken up into thousands of “Baby Bells”

This is exactly what Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook, et al are doing right now to anyone who complains about these bans on free speech. Only this time it would be “If you don’t like us, get two computers and wire connectors.

These outfits are monopolies and should be broken up period.

You had followers who were Trump supporters? I’m a little disgusted.

    1. No one likes a drama queen, Carol.

  51. This is very very scary. I’m worried about what could come of this – a new sort of prohibition of thought that replaces the prohibition on liquor in the 30s. Will people secretly meet and plan like they did in the 50s and 60s? Will they be called terrorists like people were called communists in the 50s.

I’m not liking where this is headed. Scary, scary times ahead.

The World Socialist Web Site has been warning about this for years. We had a webinar with Chris Hedges a few years back on this very topic. Go to http://www.wsws.org

    2. There are already secret speakeasies for folks who just want to socialize without masks and lines in sand. And some have gotten busted. Who said history does not repeat itself?!

    3. Have you got the address?

  52. Love your perspective, Caitlin! It resonates. Can you include a postal mailing address? For 55 years as an anti-imperialist, I find this really refreshing. The sixties was the dress rehearsal for NOW.

No, it wasn’t. I was there.

      1. That’s right. The real Bernardine Dohrn’s and Bill Ayers’s delivered actual bombs and not just rhetoric.

That was when the Weather Underground was not just a web site for the weather forecast.

        1. What we saw the other night IMHO was the rebellion of the diminishing number of the reactionary old joined by the relatively small number of the rightwing young. As Caitlin indicates, the potential of anything approaching a coup was accordingly not there. However, much more serious shit will hit the fan if and when the millions upon millions of the currently apolitical young, who nevertheless know that their futures have been foreclosed, begin to organize and act en masse. THAT looming, coup-capable threat, I submit, is what most of this increasing internet censorship is really aimed at nipping in the bud.

          1. Nothing to disagree with there.

    2. Agreed. It’s all laid out in Daniel Estulin’s shocking enlightening book ‘Tavistock Institute’ Social Engineering the Masses.

  53. The ‘Shock Doctrine’ in action, yet again. Establishment clamping down while everyone reels from the shock, and while resistance is at its lowest. Works every time, and the USA is expert at doing it.

Smiley-faced Joe has still got some strength left in his feet to do some more stomping before he goes.

    1. Schumer, Pelosi and the DNC gonna shock that monkey with the 25th and insert Harris before he can bollix up their well laid plans. She will become the new Queen of Warmongers. Joe can play Pope emeritus or something.

  54. Question the false science of global warming and sustainable energy, or the safety of voodoo vaccines ?

We have a GULAG for that. You can never vote, or pray your way out of totalitarian tyranny.

“Question the false science of global warming and sustainable energy”
      Just Wow!
Questioning the mental ability is much easier.
      Thanks for the learning moment.

      1. Obviously a man with many questions.

  55. Is is simply not helpful to call everyone a conspiracy theorist Caitlin !

This was an an obvious False Flag !

    1. The evidence is out there. One Senator or Congressman has said he was told by a Capitol policeman that he knew that there was intelligence about Antifa planning to cause trouble, and there are videos of the events, with protesters yelling ‘They’re Antifa’, and a video of the guy breaking the window being restrained by a Trump supporter.
This was the Biden Camp’s ‘Reichstag Fire’. And like Hitler, who blamed the Communists, Biden’s cronies are now blaming Putin (as Mandy Rice-Davies would say, ‘They would say that, wouldn’t they?’). Old habits die hard. In times of old they’d have blamed OBL.

      1. Biden blames Putin whenever the Jets lose or the Viagra fails to stiffen that shrivelled flap of tissue in his pants. The thinking you lay out does sound like vintage Neocon warrior Joe Biden, but let’s wait for some real facts to be cooked up by the American political system. I’m sure the yarns will be exceptional.

love censorship; reminds me of Mom just before Thanksgiving indigestion, ooops, i mean food fight, oooops, i mean a nice Great Again carnivorous gluttony celebrating how we made the Injins go to Geesays.

nowadays i can’t eat turkey any more. only crow.

  57. Yeah, but nowhere do you mention that our preamble to the Constitution guarantees our right to object to oppression. But, of course, criminals that kill have no problem with lying either. Like they used to say, “Better dead than Red”. Better dead than to be an oligarch bitch, too bad that most Americans are the bitchs of oligarchs.

    1. Can’t make the rent or put food on the table for your family? Exercise your 2nd amendment rights, bag a millionaire, and eat the rich! Humans for food: It’s a modest proposal that’s been made before in the history of Western civilisation.
No one banned its utterance. And, it made its point, which was not the literal narrative. Back in the day people still applied a bit of reason,
common sense and fair play to debating issues whether they arrived at a consensus or not. Actual verbal communication sharpened the intellect, especially if the debaters did not lapse into Newspeak like our poseurs do today.
Is free speech to be extirpated now because no one can come up with cogent and articulate counterarguments any more? Is the expression of deviant thoughts to be outlawed now because the mandated default position is so lame and unpopular? When will the actual thoughts themselves be monitored, analysed, judged, rejected and punished as thoughtcrime? No doubt employing the kind of “secret evidence” championed by Uncle Joe Biden in his original “Patriot” Act?
I’d better say this while there’s still the opportunity: the demented fellow ascending to the presidency is dangerous. I hope they quickly 25th amendment him as he and his jackboots just proposed for Trump, not for any practical purpose (Trump, he gone, man!) but to rub his nose in his fall from grace. The motive is still to give Killery her revenge for how it went down in ’16.

  58. This shows Caitlin ( and there are pictures to prove it ) that the attack on the Capitol was a cheap FF – led by the idiot with the horns – who turns up everywhere !!

Problem – Reaction – Solution – never gets OLD !

I think you’re mistaken. The attack on the Capitol was a serious matter enacted by buffoons. But these ultra-right loonies are not going away any time soon. Biden just gave a speech playing down their importance. He’s wrong, too. Remember the Beer Hall Putsch of Hitler’s brownshirts in 1923. Hitler was jailed after it was defeated, and he spent his time in prison writing Mein Kampf. Ten years later he was Chancellor of Germany.

      2. Trump might learn to read and write if he gets a 10 year sentence, but I wouldn’t look for anything more than a graphic novel illustrated by a ghost artist. In ten years Trump will be about 85. I don’t know if the Don could still handle the demands of the chancellorship. Realistically, this was his last hurrah.

        1. Don’t forget daddy’s girl, Ivanka. Donald ‘s supporters could be rallying around her in ten years time, if not sooner.

          1. Lordy, I can see a nightmarish future in which the two competing factions are led by Ivanka Kushner and Chelsea Mezvinsky.

  59. WW3 is over – Russia won – showing the ZIO/US in Syria ( where Russia turned 200 thousand ZIO/US ISIS ‘proxies’ into fertiliser ) that they are invincible and unstoppable !

S500 missile defence systems mean that Russia nor China can EVER be attacked !!

US has now turned on their own people – because they know their economy cannot be sustained without WAR !

All they have left now is the media and the printer !!

Rest of the world marches forward towards the BRI for a more prosperous life !

    1. ‘The rest of the world marches forward for a more prosperous life’. What do you think is currently happening throughout Europe? The jackboot of totalitarianism is tightening around our necks with each passing day. Covid is being used to strip away all of our civil liberties and freedoms and we won’t be getting them back when the script changes. People are, as usual sleep walking into the long planned and consistently executed One World Government.

      1. Once upon a time, not that long ago, even when I myself was a little boy, the idea of a world government, which would put an end to war, unite us across national boundaries, and help all of humankind to flourish, was considered one of the highest and noblest of human aspirations. The fact so many now instinctively recoil at the very concept shows the degree to which neoliberalism has diminished imagination, idealism, and the human spirit. As an old man soon to check out, I am saddened and disheartened by nothing more than the cynicism, pessimism, and defeatism that has seeped inside even the best of us.

        1. Indeed they were and still are lofty ideals although the ruling class has never and never will, do anything to ensure humanity flourishes. Their plans for a One World Government are anything but benign. It makes me sad too.

          1. Until we win and create societies WE want, and evolve harmonious relations with other countries.

          2. Until WE win and create societies WE want. Then we can establish harmonious relations with other countries without military in their lands.

        2. Have you read 1984?
