Americans: healthcare please

Government: Sorry did you say a new military base in northeastern Syria?

Americans: no, healthcare

Government: Alright you drive a hard bargain but here’s a new military base in northeastern Syria.

Sorry we’re not going to be able to do the $2000 checks thing, or the cancelling student debt thing, or the $15 minimum wage thing. Would you accept payment in the form of social media “dunking” on Senate Republicans instead?

Biden is so endearingly befuddled in his old age it’s easy to forget how many children he’s killed.

Electing a new US president doesn’t change the movie, it just changes the soundtrack.

Abusive narcissists are just as motivated to acquire allies as they are to acquire victims. They’re often well-liked in the circles they move in, because the clever ones work hard on manipulating the way they are publicly perceived. This is also the case with the US empire.

Things that should be done in response to the Capitol riot:

  • Charge the people who broke laws under those laws

Things that shouldn’t be done in response to the Capitol riot:

  • Making new domestic terrorism laws
  • Continuing the military occupation of DC
  • Censoring the internet

It’s self-evident that Silicon Valley oligarchs conspiring to censor conspiracy theories will not eliminate conspiracy theories; the only thing that can end conspiracy theorizing is for the government to become transparent and cease conspiring.

So naturally we’re going with the censorship via Silicon Valley oligarchs thing.

It’s hilarious how the government which continually rains bombs on other countries has a list of “designated terrorist organizations” which it solemnly adds and removes names from based on which groups it likes and doesn’t like in a given moment.

To design a secure prison, you’d want good locks, high walls, a lot of guards and tons of surveillance.

To make it even more secure, you’d keep all of the above while also tricking the prisoners into thinking they are free.

Anyway, that’s the history of western civilization.

One of the most consequential collective delusions circulating in our society is the belief that our society is free. Our society is exactly free enough to create the illusion that we have freedom; from that line onwards it’s just totalitarianism veiled in propaganda.

They don’t need to kill or silence socialists and anti-imperialists, they just need to keep us from gaining a critical mass and going mainstream. As long as they can prevent that, it actually serves their interests to have a few of us around creating the illusion of freedom.

The Republican Party is the vehicle for rightward movement. The Democratic Party is the obstacle to all leftward movement. If the Democratic Party weren’t deliberately thwarting all leftward movement, the entire world would look very, very different.

The problem with informing liberals that NED is a CIA cutout is that liberals think the CIA is good.

At a time of great need the US government is letting its citizens freeze, go broke, get evicted, and die of preventable illnesses, so obviously it’s of paramount importance right now for Americans to rise up with one voice and direct their righteous anger at China.

I’m developing a special disdain for people who mindlessly regurgitate US anti-China narratives, especially people who are normally skeptical of US government claims. There’s just no excuse for this nonsense. The geostrategic agendas are so obvious, and the facts are so readily available for anyone intellectually honest enough to look.

“Caitlin, China’s completely different from all those countries the US empire has lied about before. This one’s real!”

No you airhead, you’ve just been consuming western propaganda about China for a much longer period of time. That’s the one and only difference.

People regurgitating State Department anti-China lines seem to think of themselves as these unique little snowflakes who are totally different from those who’ve supported every other US imperialist agenda, when they’re exactly the same in every way. Literally every single possible way. They’ll be like “I opposed the Iraq invasion, but China is different.” No, you were just right then and now you’re wrong. You saw one thing clearly and now you’re seeing another thing unclearly. The propaganda gun missed your head with Iraq, then scored a bullseye with China.

“So you’re saying the CCP are the good guys??”

Hollywood has conditioned you to look for “good guys” and “bad guys” in every conflict. Your impulse to assess whether a nation on the other side of the world which poses no threat to you is “good” or “bad” is itself the result of propaganda.

Lovers who are both (A) fascinated by each other and (B) dedicated to continual self-discovery can keep falling in love endlessly, because they’ll keep discovering new things about themselves for the other to love, and the other will keep uncovering new things in them to love. We are all bottomless, so as long as the discovery continues the honeymoon never needs to end. You’re both intensely curious about each other, so you’re both leaned into each other trying to discover new things to love. The adventure never ends, and it remains exhilarating.

  2. I was going to post what I think is useful information, but really, if you’re here you must already know one way or the other. So, really, you either know that you have a God given right to rape, murder and rob whoever you please, because God said so, or you know better. At this point, as far as I’m concerned, God can either make its move or we may as well all burn in hell. Hopefully they didn’t kill Caitlin and her family because that’s just the way they are. See the Sea People and who Identifies with them.

  3. “Electing a new US president doesn’t change the movie, it just changes the soundtrack.” Perfect.

  4. OK, I’ve read everything here over the last few days and had my contributions to the conversation as well. I think it is starting to get a bit long in the tooth, but at the same time, it has been a better conversation then when all the conversations are all happening in such an exaggerated state of flux. So I appreciate that for that alone, and I’ve got math in my head and shapes in my mind and just one freaking pile of leaves left to shred.

But before I do that, I want to start a new bet, so that means the old bet is off. The odds were 4-1, so you decide how you want to place your bet on this.
    ~
This one is gonna be funny cause it deals with matters in the future and it demands consideration as only can be done when we all get to talk to each other.
    ~
OK, to keep it simple – here is the bet. There are four options as such:

    1. The Rogue Journalist emerges from the rabbit hole and decides to post another one of her thoughts either today (25th) or tomorrow (26th).
    2. Nope, she remains in the hole a little longer and the post occurs on the 27th.
    3. OK, it occurs on the 28th (a fine day if there ever was one, and that is MY bet).
    4. Something else occurs – either the post occurs later or there never is another post (low likelihood, I’d like to suggest but place whatever bet you want to in this discussion of imagination in regards to the future.
    ~
So, if this is totally ignored, then I totally understand, but I made my bet – 22821. Make your bet and see what happens. Those who have the courage to bet an early day deserve a higher payoff is what I think and my payoff to you will be a response to your bet, if what you say makes sense to me!
    ~
    How you like them apples?
    ~
    Place your bets!

    1. I think I’ll go with number one – wishful thinking maybe. I do hope Caitlin is enjoying her time off and everything is good with her. The conditions we are all living under are extremely stressful.
      `
I really appreciate her great writing and the fact that she has created this “free speech zone” in a sea of censorship.
      `
I suppose the thing about freedoms is that, in order to keep them, there is some responsibility to try not to abuse them. As well as a responsibility to speak out against those who are trying to take them away.
      `
Thanks for trying to make things interesting and fun.

      1. Shocker – Your bet has been noted and is much appreciated. I’m taking what I saw on that “Twitter thread” as legit, and I totally understand the need to have a break every now and then. Take a break and then come back refreshed and ready to push onward!
        ~
Shocker, as a personal side-note, I’m really seriously feeling good just now cause I just blew through the last pile of leaves and they are now shredded and minced into little pieces. I had to buy a whole new leaf mulcher cause the engine in the other one over heated when I started this job, but the kind of person I am is when I start something I fully intend to finish the job.

In fact, in reminds of the party I wanted to start a long time ago at the site of another whose name was Elaine, and fine she was and still is as best I can tell, but I don’t post there anymore. Anyhow, the name of the party was – The Munchers!
        ~
We will munch you up into little pieces cause we mean business!

Your bet is noted and tanks again. I hope your bet wins!

        1. One good typos deserves another and sometimes you have to read between the lines. I think when you go Rogue then sometimes you got to go rogue, and I also think that if you call yourself rogue, then you know how to do it. That is why I am very confident that bet #4 ain’t gonna happen, but is seems as if Lynn above has made that bet, whether she would admit it or not, and so I have counted Ms. Lynn down for that.
          ~
She could win, we just don’t know now do we? Plus, the times were based on the times posted here at the site where the bet was made.

          1. Shocker – send me you email address (I’m easy to find), and as God is my witness, I will send you a leaf mulcher, cause you have already won in my mind!
            ~
            Ha, ha.
            ~
You would of been a great friend to have when we were young, and maybe you are younger than I think, but I have no idea – how could I know.
            ~
But seriously, I’m easy to find, and when make friends, it is serious business!

            Ken

            1. You know this is true and I know it as well, but sometimes it is good to be reminded of basic stuff.
              ~
So honestly, lets take of the masks when they are not necessary, and more importantly, lets remember that the best friend is one you can touch with you two hands!
              ~
Shocker – I don’t know if I can shock you or not – I tried, but it don’t matter. There was never any bad intent in any of it. It was harmless.
              ~
              I declare no harm.
              ~
Can you do better than that?
              ~
Once an idea is out, once the instrument has been released, if it is an instrument of no harm, then it will grow and flourish.
              ~
Better times on the way regardless of how this bet turns out!
              ~
I got my sources and my friends and you got yours and all that is good. If you do no harm, then life will be sweet!

Prefer to be as anonymous as I can be online, for now. Of course, anonymity is a myth these days, as we know. Especially online.

No offense, but your reply seems overly effusive. Makes me uncomfortable.
            `
            Stay cool.
            Peace.

            1. No problem shocker. Effusive I am.

  5. That picture… it’s easy enough to figure those two were told to pose while pointing at each other, but apparently Joe kind of forgot to actually point so we get the limp finger thing as recorded for posterity. Yeah team!

    1. Lloyd – thanks for the laugh. The other thing about the picture I think is kind of funny is I think they have hand-cuffs on. Maybe they got arrested and each was pointing to the other so the “Magistrate” said – cuff them up. Now their making fun of the cuff’s, and let me tell you about the magistrates I imagine in the future. They don’t like when their just decisions are taken with derision. But the reality is, there ain’t really many magistrates out there these days making “just decisions”. Seems as such to me but what do I know?
      ~
But, as point #1, consider the whole travesty of the Julian Assange “situation” – note that he continues to languish in the evil Belmarsh prison unless I hear something else I reckon, and I’m not sure I want to know if I do cause I’m worried about what seems to be the likely outcome here as each days go by without any remedy.

  6. I always find your writing interesting, Ms Johnstone. If I may, a sample of mine https://jpjude.substack.com/p/so-i-went-to-hospital , and a suggestion Matthew Ehret might be worth your time…others have suggested his writing, I just echo….

    1. JP JUDE – I’m touched by this. I had a friend who died of MS I think it was around 18 months ago or maybe longer, I can’t remember for sure. I remember, he asked a few of us to come visit him when he had been sent back to his home in his final days. That man died with dignity and as a friend of his I was happy he offered up a moment for us to say goodbye to him.
      ~
      Best to you,
      Ken

      1. Sorry, but the sake of correctness, my friend actually died from muscular dystrophy, which is not the same as MS. Plus, when I thought about it some more, I think it was like three years ago. Man, time is moving on.
        ~
In checking a Twitter feed, seems the Rogue Journalist is on a self-planned trip to the “rabbit hole”. Wow – that is courageous.
        ~
Good news is, I think she will be back, but anytime you take trip to the rabbit hole, if you emerge, you won’t the same as you were before you entered. Awesome. I’m looking forward to future discussion, and JP – I added the other writer you mentioned to my study list.

Thanks and good health to you,

  7. HMM, The other day I watched a 1960s episode of “The Outer Limits”.

The gist of the story was an un-named Asian country (China) discovered a way to replace the Presidential front-runner with an Asian spy. Upon being elected the Spy (as President) was ready to remove American troops from a contested area as long as the un-named Asian country did the same. The Vice president vehemently opposed the move. Claiming the unnamed Asia country could remove their troops to just 500 miles from the disputed area whereas the USA troops would have to go 5,000 miles to get home and then the unnamed Asian country could quickly return their troops to the disputed area. Thus imperilling US security!!!!

Makes me think 70 years of this guff and still no end in sight.

    1. Now that I’m 75 the best thing about it is perspective. For example I see the Capitol riot as small potatoes to the 615 mass shootings (4 or more) last year, two a day, the 40 k motor vehicle deaths, the thousands of opiate murders and the pathetic American longevity data. Americans’ longevity is 46th in the world, just passed by Cuba. The irony! But no reporting of these new data by the American presstitutes, in favour of hundreds of articles about Heidi and Ted’s excellent vacation.

      1. Damn George – Happy 75!

        ~
I think the vote is something like 4 to 1 just now for peace and so the chances have improved. Sometimes this sort of momentum can become overwhelming, and then just imagine it: We might actually get peace.
        ~
Along with peace comes fruits and bounty if that is something that tempts ya. It sure tempts me, and that is why I voted for peace.

    2. Opiate deaths ~48,000

  8. Here’s a nice, new video on macroeconomics, with an Australian slant. It’s so important that we get this stuff, so easy to get once the false narratives about federal spending drummed into us, even the most radical among us, have been swept away.

  9. Against my better judgement, how about this for a little bit of narrative one way or the other.
    ~
How about a poem off the fly. Of the testicles of a fly if you must know. The fly I killed when it flew onto my monitor. If you fly into my place uninvited – odds are you will be dead cause that is the definition of an uninvited guests. Get the eff out of my house if you are here and you haven’t been invited and if your operating the grey area of that, I’d advise you to get the eff out of here as well, cause if you have been listening in as an uninvited guest then you must know the punishment for that don’t you? The punishment is death for the perpetuators of ongoing suffering of innocence.
    ~
So with that said, here is poem on the fly for the day:
    ~
We took resolute Abbie to the vet.
She must of been named after Hoffman.

She had some Maia in her as well.
    She was one tough bitch.

Carolina yeller mutt dog I called her.
    All terms of affection.

    I loved that dog, but
    her time came.

It was time to move on
    to a better place.

    end of freaking poem.

Now, if this site is going to continue as an entity, I’m guessing it is time for a new article. I’m looking forward to reading it and I don’t think we need to meet in a dark alley – cause I think we already both now that the time is upon us.

” If you fly into my place uninvited – odds are you will be dead cause that is the definition of an uninvited guests. `
This sounds scary, violent and ominous, Ken. We are all being spied on, tracked and targeted in every conceivable way (if that’s what you’re referring to?) You’re not alone in that.
      `
Don’t have any easy answers for that. All I can think of is that they (the global robber baron crime syndicate for lack of better term) want to confuse us, divide us and frighten us.
      `
They want us to give up and they want us to react, act out and treat each other with disrespect. Ultimately they want us to submit.
      `
      I say no!

She’s really amazing, I think. She finds creative ways to protest and question the authoritarian oligarchy that controls us. While at the same time honoring indigenous peoples.
    `
Many times it’s simply her, alone, creating a sacred ritual by burning sage and chanting. In this case at the U. Penn Wharton business school. People taking the time to create small actions like that can make a difference.

“Those who’ve lived in the crosshairs for generations are likely not as surprised at these developments as those of us trained to trust empire. We scrambled for crumbs dropped and raced to pinnacles of meritocracy for those brass rings, in such short supply – always. Seats at the table behind ivy-covered walls where a select few are granted access to the oak-paneled rooms where plans for engineered “life” are mapped out beyond the prying eyes of the masses.”
    `
“I suspect biometric health passports will be the sticks the tech oligarchs, who’ve bought most governments, plan to use to push the masses onto blockchain. Once on their ledger, as “self-sovereign” e-citizens, the data analysts can toy with us using geo-fencing, bio-surveillance, and “pay for success” privatized benefits managed through e-wallets of programmable “money.” Covid has normalized systems of tracking and tracing, the signals intelligence that will be used to create shadow worlds of mixed spatial reality.”

How is it, that Russia is able to do this? I’m guessing if they have genius skills in music and chemistry and other topics, then they must just be a country of a bunch of crazy geniuses. The CIA can plant something there, but I doubt it will ever grow past being a sprout cause in Russia, the People are smart. Way smarter than the US of a just now, but you’d be surprised how quick we could catch up. That is what I think without a pompous atom in my brain…..I’m so humble it is pathetic.

      1. Oh, mercy me, I want to say this and it is important.
        ~
ALL of the times in past messages I have used the term “spook”, what I meant was spies, intelligence agency fools, and the like. This term was never meant to be applied to anybody based on their skin color when I was using that, and I want to make that CLEAR.
        ~
        Shock that.
        ~
So, with that said, I’m sick of the spooks….I’m sick of their lies……we all are……and I think we can agree on that. If not, then you must just want to be miserable forever and sometimes you get what you want. When I used the term “spooks” I was NOT referring to a black man nor a black women nor the black race nor the race of brown folks and any combination there-of. I wasn’t referring to any color whatsoever. I was referring to those who think they can act in the background and pull all the strings, and for those who think they are doing this, let me give you one final warning.
        ~
You are fixing to be pulled back and you will be hung up if you don’t end your ways of disinformation and lies and harm and assassinations. Some of us are fedup enough to take this to the end and there are more of us than you realize.
        ~
There – you have been warned. No more warning coming and I hope the puppets can finally release themselves from all the harm being caused by the psychopaths who seem to have lost all empathy. They have no comprehension of the concept of commonweal, and that means – it is time for them to learn a HARD lesson!
        ~
        Peace is my vote.

      2. You are hard for me to follow and more than a little disconcerting, Ken. But thanks. I think?
        `
Stay warm and keep raking your roof.

    2. I should clarify, “she finds creative “peaceful and loving” ways to protest and question the authoritarian oligarchy that controls us.”
      `
She’s no hater and neither am I.

      1. Shocker you have changed!
        ~
        I’m shocked!

  11. Why, I have been wondering for quite some time, has the radical left become so adept at deconstructing imperial and ecocidal neoliberal capitalism, but not so adept in envisioning concrete alternatives to such an obviously insane system? Why do I have to go back time and again to a late 19th Century novelist to find a viable alternative to capitalism, one laid out so comprehensively, in such vivid detail, that I can easily imagine myself living in this better, more beautiful world? This morning, while reading Howard Thurman’s classic, “Jesus and the Disinherited,” I found a quote that seems to address my question. “Above and beyond all else, it must be borne in mind that hatred tends to dry up the springs of creative thought in the life of the hater, so that his resourcefulness becomes completely focused on the negative aspects of his environment…. A man’s horizon may become so completely dominated by the intense character of his hatred that there remains no creative residue in his mind and spirit to give to great ideas, to great concepts.” Has much of the radical left become so embittered by the rampant destruction of people and planet happening all around us, so frustrated by our inability to attract many others to the cause of ending this nightmare, that they (we, I) have allowed themselves to slip into simmering hatred of their neoliberal overlords, those enemies of people and planet–hate them to the point that this is all they (we, I) want to do, all they (we, I) can any longer do, to expose and condemn and kill with words the bastards in charge of this carnage? If so, I fear the bastards have won.

      1. Hey Jessica, you sweet little thing in my imagination. I love working from the comfort of my home, and I want to work with you. We can work together comfortably and when either of us is feeling a bit on edge, then we can comfort each other.
        ~
What do you think? Is it a deal?
        ~
If so, I encourage you to vote for peace. Are you up for peace? We can share it together in the comfort of home. Now, if you are in my place, enjoying my home, then don’t get upset with me if I kick your ass out of here. If I am in your home, I will treat the place with respect, because I know this.
        ~
        You get what you give!

    2. I don’t know Newton. I’m getting tired of concepts being thrown out there that nobody really even knows what they might mean anymore cause there are so many competing narratives. Boggles the mind.
      ~
You got left and you got right. Those are just about the only two concepts I prefer to be literal in interpretation.
      ~
That is why I prefer the term “correct“.
      ~
If you consider a math problem, and truly the beauty of math is that oft-times there is one answer and one only. That would be the correct answer. That is the beauty of math.
      ~
The moment you extend this to shapes, it still holds true for awhile, but once you get into language that number of variables is so many, that we will never all agree even on the most basic definitions. That is why I try to keep it simple as much as possible, and if one has the gift of sharing words simply with others, with a serious genuineness, then I think that is a special gift, and Newton – I basically think you have this gift.
      ~
      Thanks,
      Ken
      :
I’m damn near positive, “America’s” days of narcissism are coming to an end – just need to get rid of two parties, and then the real parties can begin!
      ~
So, remember this. I was on topic.

      1. That you were, Ken, and good point about the mindboggling amount of competing narratives. When one world is dying and another yet to be born, does anyone really know anything, from Bill Gates to Caitlin to people like you and me? Actually, I guess we all know a little something but need to recognize how damn little it is.

        1. I won’t argue with you on that, but some know more than others because they have studied hard!
          ~
Peace Newton – we can agree on that I hope.
          ~
          Your friend,
          Ken

          1. Newton – I’ll put it out there on the line. I want your vote.
            ~
Do you vote for peace or not?
            ~
            It is a simple decision.
            ~
            Yes or no.
            ~
Your choice – free will. Make your choice public if you want folks to really believe in what you say, and then later on if it turns out you were playing a game, then the record will speak for itself.
            ~
I think I must of named my dog after Abbie Hoffman. I was just thinking that I wish he was sitting next to me just now and that we were shooting the shit.

            1. I want what many others want: peace with as much justice as possible, a peace which allows human beings and all living things to flourish. But the devil is in the details, details which Edward Bellamy began to piece together in the first Gilded Age. The puzzle is still there, waiting for us to complete it in the second.

              1. I want peace with no preconditions, with no expectations or prerequisites.
If you place a prerequisite on peace, then you don’t want it.
                So,
I’ll take peace however I can get it even if it is a bullet to the brain, but you can rest assured I will NEVER do that to myself, cause I’d just assume talk your head off!
                ~
                Fiat is a fools game.
I’ve said it once and so I won’t say it again. Come on Newton, stop believing the illusions that others have placed upon your mind. Seems as such to me, but what to the Buffalo Know?

  12. Here is a different link to a great song from another source.
    ~
You wouldn’t believe all the sources out there. I got mine – you got yours.
    ~
Lets just share ideas for awhile
    ~
    Why not?
    ~
    PEACE is my vote!……….& I m – a row butt!
(Hey – you got a little kid pissing your off? Tell him or her to divide 2 by 3 and run it out all the way….it will the make the kid irrational, or better yet, if the kid studies hard, it will be a good way to learn about irrational numbers – lots of mystery their worth study!)
    BK
    ~

    1. My last post on this “Article”.
      ~
If you really want to mess with the kid’s head, ask the kid to take the reciprocal of the value mentioned above – that being the whole number 2 divided by the whole number 3. Now after the kid does this successfully, ask the question:
      ~
How could one of the numbers be “irrational” and the other not?
      ~
I’d be curious how the kid responds. Depending on the response, then ask this question (which is a very “tricky” one)?
      ~
Take the square root of the number “ten” (10)….a 1 and a 0 —- “bits” you could say. Take the square root of that number and then figure it its reciprocal, and if you are able to to this, is there an interesting “pattern” in how the numbers “line up”. Oh, let me tell you in advance, the answer to that question is a resounding YES. All that changes is the “decimal” point.
      ~
If you really want to delve into this, check out this site:
      http://earthmatrix.com/giza/square_roots.html
      ~
I wasn’t kidding when I said it is amazing how numbers, shapes, and language go hand-n-hand-n-hand, and I think if we share ideas without any other motivation besides learning, then we will all learn so much so quickly you would look back and say: wow!
      ~
My vote again is for peace, but I know I only get one vote cause I’m just one person.
      ~
      BK
(sorry for any typos, I honestly don’t even feel like checking since I got to check the effing robot box…..what a waste that is).

  13. Actually, it’s a lot worse than all that, but as it is I don’t know if I’ll bother to you, because it’s sort of like, but not at al, ‘if I told you I”d have to kill you’, but you already know that they don’t have to go to such extremes to shut us up, just the same though they will, because, eventually every cat gets tired of playing with the mouse, so you do your own research and then you decide. Just for the fun of it you might want to consult Wikipedia on the term, ‘mafia’, as it pertains to the U.S in particular, maybe even Al Capone, especially as it pertains as to why they gave up the machine guns. Anyway, hope you enjoyed your day off.

  14. Caitlin, you are getting better and better at this form of text. It is a great pleasure to read you, and Im a little bit smarter afterwards. Thank you.

  15. It is not a fourth revolution, but a continuation of earlier phases of industrialisation. This “transition” of the élites – as Big Tech and the MSM are deployed to smother political dissent – is aimed precisely to avoid any effective rotation at all – the oligarchs of the banking world simply would meld into the Tech billionaires whose “expertise is required to guide the world – through its health, climate, security and economic challenges”.
    ~
This fine article can be read here:

  16. An energybpost. The world runs on energy not politics.
    1. Gas and oil prices are going up rapidly. This will increase your gas for car and electric bill. Once oil rises to a point that people stop using their cars etc, a glut will form and prices will plummet.
    2. The first electric company has hinted they may file bankruptcy. They squeeze profit out instead of maintaining and weatherproofing equipment. This is criminal in my opinion. Utilities are a public trust not a capitalist venture.
    3. If you live in a location with subfreezing temps get an alternative heating source. Dont rely on the capitalistic model when it comes to energy.

You must see by now that the world runs on magic. Work is not done by moving a Force through a Distance, but by sitting inert in front of a screen thinking positive thoughts.

In a world where nothing is real, everything must be political.

      1. “You must see by now that the world runs on magic. Work is not done by moving a Force through a Distance, but by sitting inert in front of a screen thinking positive thoughts.
In a world where nothing is real, everything must be political.”

This is the smartest person to write something useful here. All this madness in the last 12 months originated by a coordinate worldwide web driven by the mainstream media. What you believe became real. It was the same thing with the Twin Towers on 9/11. They didn’t have to work so hard to convince people to let the empire to do slaughtering, rampage, rapes, torture in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Somalia. Decades later was proved that none of them was guilty of anything. But the Empire got what they really were looking for. NYT even apologize a year ago for publishing a fake intel report about Iraq. Did you know when they realize this could work? That Kuwait woman speaking to the US Congress about the invasion. She introduced herself as a refugee. A common Kuwait citizen. Then someone spoke out loud that she was in fact a princess. She lied in front of the Congress and nothing happened. 4000 American engineers have a written statement about the collapse of the WTC where they say that the tower didn’t collapse due to the planes, fuel. It was imploded using explosives. The Chief representative of that commission of the congress responsible for all investigation wrote that the technicians, engineers and investigators didn’t have access to do their jobs. Secret Service, military personnel blocked their access. And Pelosi talking about a 9/11 style commission to punish the riot in Washington. If the commission will do the same back then the rioters will be forgiven. But ir they will make the thing work as it is supposed to be, then they are screwed. There’s no profit in the truth only punishment. There is surreal profits in lies. Your name will be immortalized.

  17. For those pissed at me for saying, with qualifications, some more positive things about Bill and Melinda Gates, here’s the dark side:

    https://thegrayzone.com/2020/07/08/bill-gates-global-health-policy/

    1. They are a bane on mankind. People see their PR and youtube videos and swallow their propaganda. He is following in his fathers footsteps. A closet eugenist. I dont understand how liberals support eugenuc policies. Planned parenthood wrapped in womens rights, located in poor sections of cities, focused on poor countries. Actual focus to reduce world poor population. Eugenics is killing off people. Covid, climate change, great reset are all eugenic policies. People are ignorant and too lazy to actually research any subject or just dont care.

    2. wrote another reply to your comment below, before I saw this.
      `
      Peace, Newton.

      1. And also to you, Shocker. I get the reply.

    3. There is no dark side unless you allow imagination. The reality is that governments just don’t do vaccines with rare exceptions. Gates and wife have filled the void created by the political unattractiveness of public health measures and their relegation to afterthoughts until there is a crisis. They’ve filled it with money and brainpower. They’ve attracted the best and brightest to consult for their foundation and he has access to the grant panels expertise. As an academic of long-standing in an ancient university selected first in the last 3 TES polls, my take is as follows. Gates is brilliant, has excellent scientific instincts and judgement and is completely trustworthy. He comes from a background of public service ethos, and scientists who know him are blown away. The scurrilous rumours and gossip about him are not only unfounded but shameful.

      1. God I hope you’re right. I wish the foundation would have responded to the Gray Zone piece. If you have the time, George, might you offer some rejoinder to its specific allegations? A lot of us would love to believe that Bill and Melinda are what you say they are, but, as you know, the Gray Zone article is not an outlier when it comes to the more radical forums, both left and right.

      2. I’m just a simple tradesman trying to do my share to question the destructive actions of those in power. Especially those who have such outsized influence in our society, government, media, foundations, NGO’s, universities and institutions.
        `
It is absolutely frightening to question them. Certainly much easier and comforting not to.
        `
The truth is, I am literally afraid to mention his name, specifically, in a negative context.

    4. Newton, I don’t have time to answer all the issues. But let’s look at the first ones that come up.
      1) the easiest is the preposterous claim that because Gates’ personal wealth has rocketed up, he must be lying about his philanthropy. The alleged dis repancy is entirely explained by the rocketing up of Microsoft shares.
      2) the revolving door between Gates and Pharma – vaccines were abandoned to Pharma during the reign of several Conservative Western governments who have publicly stated that those ivory tower academics need get real and practical. Let’s marry them to industry. A bad idea as it turned out but another topic in itself.
So all the expertise got concentrated into Pharma. And for many years the smartest and most ambitious people have been attracted by Pharma.
      3) “Examples are endless” Of course they are! It was engineered that way.

If you have any other specific questions just ask.
      Best GC

  18. For those as interested in macroeconomics as we all should be, here’s a nice overview that popped up on Bill Mitchell’s blog today:

    http://bilbo.economicoutlook.net/blog/?p=46942

    1. We are not the first society to go down this road. It is littered with the bones of other previous economies.

      Peace, Newton.

  19. In response to another mad dog editorial in the W Post this am on China and the Uighurs

“Concentration camps? What utter nonsense. The people who will stop at nothing are the Hiatts and Mucuses. Not nearly as many Uighurs in re-education centres as Blacks in US prisons – now those are concentration camps. Do the math.
Maybe the saber-rattling Hiatt would like to explain what he would do with the Uighurs crime rate, their terrorism and their flouting of population control measures. I have asked this several times. Never a response.

This is more Goebbels from WaPo. And let’s stop the pretence about the Uighurs. Americans could not give a flying ….

The US is now 46th in the world for longevity. WaPo doesn’t even report it. It’s only news when it affects Hiatt’s immediate relatives? I thought when Cuba passed you, sans any of those “FDA-approved” drugs that nightly foul the airwaves, you would report it. But noooo! Dozens of articles on Heidi and Ted’s excellent adventure though.

WaPo has become a propaganda outlet. What a disservice to previous brave and able news staff and how to ruin an honestly earned reputation.”

    1. So you live in China and have seen it first hand or gotten it from an article that may or not be pure propaganda. Are the Chinese oppressing the muslims in western china. Most likely. They are suppressing a conflicting culture. China unlike America allows one culture only. So, should America attack China and free their oppression. Dang, we cant even correct our own problems.

      1. The Chinese seem to have a problem faced by many Western cultures. How to deal with indigenous tribes reluctant to adopt Western ways. Or Eastern.
Cf. The Australian aborigines , Native Americans, et. al.
I have no answer. Do you? They surely have been heavy-handed in trying to get them to learn and behave Chinese. But the story has been seized upon by Americans intent on trying to slime the Chinese, motivated by envy and competitiveness. This has nothing to do with maudlin sentiment for the Uighurs.

  20. After observing what comments are allowed and which aren’t, I’m pretty sure now that the real RT News website has been removed and then replaced by a look alike fake. Probably operated by AMAN, one of the 5 eyes intelligence agencies.

Let it be a good 22221 – Man can you imagine a year from now when the day is “22222” – that is a lot of 2’s. Almost two to too 2 many two’s. 5 2’s tripping over each other, just like 52 weeks in the year. 2 raised to the power of 5, which is what may I ask. Well, lets figure it out: 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 x 2 = 16 x 2 = 32. 3+2=5.
    ~
Ain’t it funny how numbers connect to so much…..numbers, letters, shapes, and language. It is funny in a good way. It is worth some serious study – just like the elements on the periodic table (thanks Mendeleev). So, anyhow, let 22221 be a good day is what I’m praying for today.

  22. Mr. Mathew Ehret post some fine historical articles that are worth reading!

    1. Mr. Paul Edwards responds to this article by stating:
      ~
Capitalism only pretends to run on a concrete economic basis. It actually operates on a basis of scrambling wildly for any conceivable justification for its monstrous, cancerous greed and then selling that to a sucker, victim world.
      ~
Capitalist “elites” will do anything, make any deal, to retain their power to exploit and devour the world.

      1. Mr. Matthew and Mr. Paul Edwards are just passing what they learned from Antonio Gramsci. Gramsci had the opportunity to see the results of the socialism under Stalin. He was the one who the job to wrote a rhetoric to picture perfectly what capitalism really is but not mentioning that the hell coexist in both sides of this eternal discussion. Most people in the whole world doesn’t know how to explain the difference between socialism or capitalism. In America forget. The level of stupidity is too high for them to absorb. If one day Aliens from outer space decided to land on Uncle Sam land they will write a report saying there/s no intelligence on this planet. I hope they can land in some Danish pub or even in London to have some bear. Maybe they will say at least we are funny.

  23. Mr. Mike – your bet is noted.

I think that now makes 2 for peace and 1 for war.
    ~
I’m liking those odds, but I’d just assume the odds move a bit further in the direction of current momentum cause the scale is so large that those odds are literally scary. War nowadays could escalate so quickly that it would be…….I don’t need to say, so I won’t.
    ~
Consider that after their proud and dignified and peace seeking General (in the big scheme of things) was shot dead by a drone missile along with several others who were also innocent and then their was a precise response showing capability to cause serious headache. Consider that and you realize who has the strong hand and who is weak. Consider what Jesus said if it makes you feel better. Makes no difference to me, I just don’t want war and some things are obvious. Plus, it is obvious that there is a destabilizing country in the region and the county is named Israel. Why did it have to turn out this way I wonder? Did some specific individuals take over the narrative and turn it into their own personal mission of vendetta? Seems as such to me. But you have a country and you have a religion. They are not one in the same, and that Iranian General died because of the misguided actions of a the leaders of the country who seem to have only learned that if you suffer, then you must cause suffering for others. The rest of us know better.
    ~
At the end of the day, a headache is one thing and assassination is another. If anybody needs to be prosecuted it is those who perpetuated the assassination of the Iranian General, Qasem Soleimani, and then frankly, lets work our way back from that. Lots of big fish in this lake of ignominy and I want the facts, and nothing but the effing facts. I think most of them are already out there and a bunch of folks already know. Regardless, let the truth prevail and let the chips fall where they will.
    ~
Better now than later when the stakes could be so much higher that the odds turn against us all.
    ~
Seriously, that is what I think. Thanks for your bet.

  25. What would happen if,

We all (each and every one of us) woke up one day and realized that everything that we had to accept as children (which we knew wasn’t right or true) was no longer obligatory, necessary, or in any way whatsoever enforceable?

Facebook deplatformed Australian local and global news sites last week because the Australian government had the gall to want them to pay taxes.
    `
They’re fine with allowing Muslim hate speech to spread in Myanmar to they point of genocide. When Australia wants them to pay their fair share (the horror,) they deplatform the entire country. Some extremely screwed up priorities right there.
    `
At what point will people wake up to the destruction these billionaires are causing/have caused/will continue to cause across our planet? At what point do we stop allowing them to play God?
    `
At what point do people start boycotting them?
    `
    https://www.mintpressnews.com/facebook-refused-to-shutter-amid-genocide-in-myanmar-but-pulled-news-in-australia-amid-threats-to-profits/275494/
    `
“Australia’s 18 million Facebook users woke up yesterday to find that, without warning, local and global news sites were unavailable, meaning that they could not view or share news at all. Facebook users across the world were also unable to read or access any Australian news publications. The tech giant had taken the step of essentially shutting down its site and “unfriending” an entire nation in response to the government’s proposals to tax them.”
    `
“Lawmakers in Canberra had drawn up plans to “level the playing field” between social media giants and the traditional press. In practice, this would mean Facebook and Google handing over a sizable chunk of their advertising profits to the government to subsidize struggling news outlets, on whom they depend for content.”

    1. I’ve been boycotting facebook for years. I say if they won’t let us read the content we want, then we won’t let then get rich from showing us ads.

      1. Good on ya, John.
        `
Everybody just start with boycotting Facebook, take them down and send a message to the rest.

      2. I never ever even had an account with them, so I suppose I can’t boycott them. Moreover, on a global scale boycott’s don’t usually achieve the desired objective. Locally, that is a different matter I suppose. Anyhow, I don’t think a freaking boycott of Facebook is gonna make a difference. Sounds like the idea of a Tired and No Longer Active Revolutionary.

I say just split the monopoly up. It is obviously a monopoly and they have the audacity to think they get to control the story. Control the narrative so to speak. So, let the civil servants take care of this important governance matter – I think there are some very capable ones out there. Not in the US of a – but elsewhere. The world needs some new leadership is what I think.

I sure know if I was a “gubment”, the first thing I would do is put effing facebook in their place – I’d shove it their cocky face. Split it up and then Google is next.

        Happy 22121

    2. There are other news sites, other social platforms, if you dont like it go elsewhere.

      1. Khatika – I’m not stalking you, but have you considered my proposition(s)? I won’t ask again.
        ~
Oh, you want to know which one(s)?
        ~
Well, just answer one of them why don’t ya. I’ll set you up with those potions if you play fair – 2 invisibility and a haste (good combination). I play by the rules – what about you?
        ~
Here are the propositions I have in mind as I type this:
        1. Would you like to spend some time in the middle of Australia with me? I know a wonderful lake (Eyre) that we could share some special time on an island together?
        2. Do you want to cancel the “war bet”. I know the bet was created in my imagination, but still hypothetically, do you want to cancel it assuming it actually was in place which I’m not sure it really is?
        ~
        3. Maybe there is a third one you can remind me of if you don’t feel like dealing with either of the first 2, but they are very serious if you want my opinion….ha, ha.
        ~
Otherwise, Khatika, I reckon our time of talking to each other has run its course. The choice is yours.
        ~
        Your friend, Ken

        1. Khatika – just to tempt you further.
          ~
From wikipedia entry on the lake I suggested:
          ~
When the lake is full, a notable phenomenon is that around midday the surface can often become very flat. The surface then reflects the sky in a way that leaves both the horizon and water surface virtually impossible to see. The commodore of the Lake Eyre Yacht Club has stated that sailing during this time has the appearance of sailing in the sky.[23]
          ~
Now if you look at the map, there are several islands, so it might be tricky getting out there, but I’m willing to take the risk. What you say Khatika – or do you still want to be miserable?
          ~
          BK

    3. Do you work for FB? I ask bc it’s otherwise hard to understand why you feel the need to fight their corner. Zuckerberg is one of the wealthiest people in the world I think he’ll survive Australian outrage. One of the criticisms of the deletions was the Australian BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) was down when there are floods and bush fires. Any device that can access FB can go directly or via the app to the BOM sites, so that’s not much of an argument.

  28. And now to a commercial break describing the situation in “Australia”. I particularly enjoy the last couple of minutes with John Mearsheimer spelling out to US Vassal State 2 (or is it 3?) exactly what it would mean if #2 went with China instead of the US.

    1. I’m in Canada; we’re number one! A wholly owned subsidiary of international capital. We the north, hundreds of thousands in the streets celebrating a basketball team made up of 100% American’s. We eat at McDonald’s, drink dudwiser, shop at walevil and on and on. Oh yeah, we the head of the Lima group, starving the children in Venezuela and Nicaragua and helping to destroy Libya. Oh yeah, we #1 vassal state and we don’t know and don’t care.

      1. Bob – you got the funniest joke so far on the 22nd.
        ~
Man – I love Canada. Seriously. I love that place.
        ~
I’m from Buffalo – I’ve been there many times. I want to go there again. If I do, then maybe we will meet while I’m there.
        ~
I am a huge supporter of Canada. Such a smarter country than Australia. Australia doesn’t even know who their real friends could be. That is how stupid Australia is, but just so happens, I think New Zealand has figured out and good for them. Early bird gets the worm.
        ~
Oh Canada – how I LOVE the Maple Tree!

    2. I’m listening to this incredible video while I type this, but I already know, and I’m not trying to be mean, but the Australian’s seem to be too dumb to even know that they remain a Penal Colony. Started out that way (after wiping out the indigenous population of course), and remain as such up to the current time. I had to pause the video cause if I was an Australian willing to learn, it would set my mind on fire and make me realize that something is rotten in Denmark.
      ~
Wow. I preferred Bob’s funny message below about Canada, but I got a feeling there is an element in Australia that don’t appreciate others getting humor out of their past experiences with bullies. This sort of sentiment can be complicated when you consider the indigenous populations, so I understand, but still, at this point in time why don’t the “Australians” make a choice to take back their own sovereignty. Cause if you don’t take it back it will be taken away from you more than it already has been.
      ~
Ain’t this obvious. That is why, I think the Rogue Journalist ought focus a bit more on matters close to home. There is fertile opportunity to make a difference for the better in this regard, and the beauty of it is the difference could be made on the streets if need be.
      ~
Ain’t no rogue journalist operating out of Australia who is gonna get on the streets of the US of A, and even if she has been here, she ain’t from here, so she wouldn’t know what to do here if push came to shove. But in Australia, well now, that is a whole nether matter, and I would like to meet her there in a dark alley as long as it was planned. If it wasn’t planned, then I don’t think either of us would want to meet each other. I’m not a fan of unplanned meetings.
      ~
I know I’ve made “fun” out of your name in the past Ishkabibble, but it was all in good humor and reflected some of what you said about voting this way or that, but whatever, I appreciate this video and I hope the Australian folk get their act together. I sure enjoyed being there with them when I traveled through the country in my imagination. Maybe one day in the future, it could happen for real!
      ~
Let it be a good 22221 in memory of my sweet ole yeller Carolina mutt dog named Abby Mia. Who “sestra” named Evie, a spry Jack Russell, will miss her so, and that is how it goes. So enough about that.
      ~
Next time I go to Canada I want to get there via train and I want to take the train all the way to the west coast. I don’t plan on doing this alone!
      ~
      Peace,
      Ken

      1. “Meet her in a dark alley”! What in all seriousness is wrong with you?!

        1. Antipropo, I think you missed the part where both, Buff and “her” aka Ringo & Honey Bunny, were flirting. You know, Intellectual foreplay.

          1. OK Fine. I must respond to this cause I don’t care for the suggestion……plus, if you take things too literally you will never really learn worth a shit is what I think, cause you will basically have been “programmed”. I don’t take things literally.

Any Ragnarson, I can’t deny I clicked on the video link, and I can’t deny, I stopped watching it when the tough SOB who meant business started quoting the bible. I couldn’t remember what happened.
            ~
Bus, as normally occurs, my curiosity got the best of me and I watched it till the end. I’m so glad Ringo and Honey Bunny got to walk out the door a bit richer. I couldn’t remember and I didn’t really want to see the other outcome. I seen that enough times in that movie.
            ~
Best to you Ragnarson, and I hope you have many days of future blissful think as long as what your thinking is peaceful.
            ~
            Best to you,
            Ken

            1. You’re welcome Buffalo_Ken. And I’m sorry if by any chance you had the feeling that I was undermining your debate. Sometimes I forget that each one of us has its own pace to learn, to express and to figure out how to navigate in the middle of all this diversity of values, cultures and intellectual backgrounds. About that there’s nothing to do beyond what I’m going to do right now, move on. I like to discover new places to debate. But after 69 years walking in this great cultural desert of our civilization I’m afraid that I’m going just to find more about the same jack-shit thing peculiar to blogs like this one. I like the author. It makes me laugh and to have a glimpse of hope for some fractions of a second before everything comes back to the same.

              Kind wishes.

              1. Yo,
Ragnarson – I got a feeling you will be back, but if not, happy travels.
I couldn’t quite figure out who was honey bunny and who was Ringo in your mind and that is all I was saying.
Thats why I kept the conversation going. You and everybody else can rely on me for that. I’m a talking fool. I could talk your head off if you let me!
All the best you ole big R.

  30. Summary: Just update to Russian AND China (& Venezuala, Iran, etc.):

    1. I lost all respect for Rob Reiner who produced this propaganda and the actor too.
I will never pay to see anything either of them ever do again.

      1. Goebbels lives!

    2. A real piece of work here. Excellent example of the pot calling the kettle black. No pun intended.

    3. And lo! it came to pass in the year of Our Ford 2020, just as Saint Rachel predicted, the evil Lord Putin once again inserted his puppet to hold sway over us! Evidence, you ask for? What more evidence than the imposition of martial law in our Sacred Capitol, and the collapse of the utility systems in the State of Texas, and the $2,000 checks that are not flowing to our citizens, & c. & c. ad infinitum.

  31. There is a difference between invading Iraq and going to war with China and/or Russia. While Iraq was invaded by lying about WMD, both Russia and China have Nuclear weapons in thousands and Russia has advanced Hypersonic delivery systems for which West has no answer right now. Both are now Strategic partners heading toward Military Alliance. Russia also considers any missile fired at it as potentially tipped with Nuclear war head/s and likewise would retaliate with Nuclear tipped Missiles. That is their updated Strategic Security Doctrine. This is the most serious threat being faced by the humanity now.

    1. Uh no. The most serious threat is the mad dog American military and its industrial complex, by miles. And it will be exacerbated by their imminent accelerating social unrest. The Russians and Chinese are primarily interested in their people. The Americans are primarily interested in them too, as in exploiting them.

See the Gallup poll which asked near 100 countries. The greatest threat to world peace was the US.

      1. The worst thing that can happen to NATO and the empire is EU accepting oil and gas from Russia who has great reserves. I’m not going to mention Iran. The American economy in the same as the Chinese economy are thirsty for absurd quantities of oil and gas to keep it up. Today, the USA is protection the oil and gas in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria from Afghans, Iraqis and Syrians. They are doing the same thing in ‘Somalia, Yemen and on. To sum up, they extract and transport to Texas all that stuff to be processed to be transported Europe and others in need of it. It’s a very expensive process. If EU accepts the deal with Russia and Iran, this will have a huge impact in the credit and finances of the American economy. This is the kind of stuff that can implode America without a bullet. I would need a whole day to explain what’s behind the curtain. Why things are the way it what it is. It’s a matter of time for our way of living based in oil and gas to come to an end. There’s a lot going on. How to substitute, who will earn profits, who will produce, royalties and on.

    2. The only reason anyone wants nuclear weapons is so they can tell the US to leave me the hell alone.

  32. “They don’t need to kill or silence socialists and anti-imperialists, they just need to keep us from gaining a critical mass and going mainstream.” God how I wish Caitlin were right about this possibility of winning “the people” over to socialism and anti-imperialism…if only blogs and other communication vehicles like hers weren’t censored. Virtually everything she says in this latest post is true, as is most of what she’s been saying all along. But her faith in “the people” being receptive to the truth, if prophetic folks were allowed to keep hammering on it, has shown itself misplaced time and time again. Perhaps this time around the pandemic, and the necessity it has brought home to us of the necessity of a great reset of our ecocidal way of life, will offer a new opportunity for prophetic voices to be heard. All the more reason to fight for their right to speak on the internet and elsewhere.

    1. “Perhaps this time around the pandemic, and the necessity it has brought home to us of the necessity of a great reset of our ecocidal way of life, will offer a new opportunity for prophetic voices to be heard.”
      `
Do you believe Bill Gates is one of those prophetic voices?
      `
Are you in favor of the WEF “Great Reset”?

      1. Bill Gates is no prophet, in the sense that Caitlin is, or Ed Curtin is, or others who speak hard truth to power (actually speak it to us, because “power” ignores them). What Bill Gates seems to be is one of the more decent and influential filthy rich guys, who at least gets the existential necessity of a Great Reset of the neoliberal nightmare, a reset just beginning to be talked about at Davos and other elite forums (as environmentalists and socialists have talked about it in humbler venues for many years). And he and his wife are also doing quite a bit to lift the desperate poor in some of Trump’s shithole countries, among other good works much easier to do, of course, when you’re a billionaire. So prophet? Hardly. A more well-meaning plutocrat? So it seems. Funny how when the elites finally start to come around just a little bit and begin to say some interesting and unexpected things, like how we must immediately address the looming environmental crisis, eliminate desperate global poverty, etc.–the very sorts of things we leftists have been demanding be done–we respond by jumping all over their asses. AIN’T the way to move forward together, which is the only way we’ll be able to move when they’ve got the vast majority of the money and power, and we can’t even agree on simple issues like whether or not to wear a mask.

        1. So what does getting everyone vaccinated, having luminescent dyes mark your skin with your personal information and saying many will probably die from the vaccine have to do with what you said. Bill Gates is involved and has said it. Of course he has some good excuses why he has to do this.

        2. Why did Bill Gates and others on the WEC and other high profile poliicians start moving theirs stocks and investments two months before the Covid Pandemic. Yea. A really good humanitarian with ulterior motives. His agenda is long term eugenics just like his father.

      2. @Newton Finn
“AIN’T the way to move forward together, which is the only way we’ll be able to move when they’ve got the vast majority of the money and power, and we can’t even agree on simple issues like whether or not to wear a mask.”
        `
Yep, they’ve got us so confused we don’t know which way is up. One day these neo liberal, criminal, robber barons are creating the neo-liberal nightmare that is destroying our planet, the next day they are our saviors.
        `
I do understand the temptation to want to believe they will see the light and come together to do the right thing and try to fix the problems (they are mostly responsible for) in a responsible way.
        `
I also understand the Stockholm Syndrome.
        `
        Newton said:

        `
        Propaganda and lip service.
        `
When these people, in a meaningful way, start to come out in favor of universal healthcare, the repeal of Citizens United, legit voting reforms, housing the homeless, feeding the poor, strengthening our public schools, respecting our privacy rights, respecting our free speech rights, ending these genocidal, perpetual wars, the end to child slavery, livable wages all over the world . . . ., I will consider what they have to say.
        `
By the way, they already control the vast majority of the money and power.

        1. Yup. Right now it’s rhetoric, Shocker, but better, more realistic rhetoric than a lot of us on the oppositional side are generating these days. It’s a start, but only that. The proof is the pudding, as you indicate. So it’s our job to keep public pressure on the “enlightened” elites so that they feel compelled to live up to their own words, think the reset thing through even more deeply and humanely. And if the worst of the elite bastards want to start another criminal war, then we hit the streets bigtime, raise as much hell as we can. In that case, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Bill Gates types were protesting with us, and “wouldn’t that be loverly.” Klein thought that the environmental crisis would change everything. Maybe it still will, in light of what the pandemic has taught many of us and at least a portion of our overlords.

          1. Reply below Alan Howard.

    2. “They don’t need to kill or silence socialists and anti-imperialists…..”. Not in the ‘civilised’ West, but if they pose even a remote threat to the Establishment and the status quo, they can be smeared and vilified and demonised and ‘transformed’ into anti-semites and friends of terrorists, and into Marxists and Trots etc, etc, etc, courtesy of the MSM – ie the Establishment’s propaganda machine.

Initially the Greenham Common Women received little coverage by the MSM and, as such, had little influence on public opinion regards the plan to base American cruise missiles there, but slowly opposition grew, and by the time of the big all-women demo in which 30,000 women lined the perimeter fence all holding hands – and because of it – public opposition was approaching 50% and growing, and thus it was time for the PTB to hatch a plan to smear them, and THAT is precisely what they did. Word – somehow! – reached the GCW that the then Defence Secretary was attending a private meeting of the Local Conservative Association in Newbury, not far from Greenham, and the GCW naturally arranged to hold a demo outside the building – ie Newbury Town Hall. A lie-in as such. So he arrives, gets out of the vehicle, is then surrounded by half-a-dozen police officers, and as he goes up the steps just prior to the entrance he just very slightly stumbles momentarily, but the headlines right across the MSM had a different story to tell. The following is an excerpt from The Press And Political Dissent by Mark Hollingsworth:

The following day seven of Britain’s national newspapers had other ideas ‘Peace Camp Women Mob Heseltine’, said the Daily Telegraph’s front page. ‘Mr Heseltine, Defence Secretary, was dragged to the ground…… several women tried to kick and punch him’. The Daily Mail agreed – ‘Women Knock Down Minister’ and ‘Ban-The-Bomb mob send Heseltine Crashing’…… ‘Jeering Peace Protesters Punch Minister’, claimed the Times and added that he was ‘punched and pushed by peace protesters’. The Sun agreed: ‘Angry Peace Girls Rough Up Heseltine’, and in a leader it said that ‘He is right to refuse to debate with these fiery violent ladies….’

Yep, they – the Establishment’s propaganda machine – ‘transformed’ a life-long anti-racist into an anti-semite, and peace campaigners into angry, violent women, so as to marginalise them.

    3. @Newton Finn
      `
I hear you, Newton and I appreciate that you are thinking and offering possible solutions.
      `
There was even a time when I might have agreed with you. I’ve written many comments, years ago, attempting to appeal to the humanity of the billionaires in control. Speaking to the illogic of their actions. Surely they must know that they are, ultimately, only hurting themselves.
      `
It took a long time, but it’s clear to me now that they are sociopathic monsters and will not change. No matter what they say, they only care about themselves, their greed and lust for power and control.
      `
And, perhaps even more so, they would rather see the planet burn than take responsibility for what they’ve done.
      `
      THEY. CAN. NOT. BE. TRUSTED.
      `

      `
Has any of them spoken out, in meaningful way, against any of the current wars? I haven’t heard about it if they have. How about Israel’s apartheid regime?
      `
Any of them speaking about child slaves mining cobalt in Congo for green new deal, energy saving devices? Will this magically stop during the “great reset? Which is already way, I might add.
      `
They want nothing but more power and control.
      `
They intend to impose all forms of hideous things on humanity with this “great reset.” Digital passports, forced vaccinations, block chain ID’s, biometric Id’s, Internet of things, social credit scores (already begun) . . .. It’s a long list.

They are in the process of re-engineering the planet to suit their own sick visions.

  33. “The problem with informing liberals that NED is a CIA cutout is that liberals think the CIA is good.”

It is absolutely amazing to me how this came about. It’s like the USA has suddenly become filled with a bunch of spoiled children. Every time I see John Brennan or James Clapper, I feel like I’m looking at the evil emperor from Star Wars, and here they are on TV with so-called liberals like Rachel Madcow or Anderson Cooper. The latte sippers get sold a bill of goods on invasions like Libya and Iraq to bring “freedom and democracy” or safety from non-existent “weapons of mass destruction”, and don’t bother to look at the horrendous after effects of the citizens of those countries getting R2Ped. They live in a bubble under hypnosis.

  34. You havd beaten this horse to death, then pounded the carcass into dust…. enough. There are three great powers in the world today of which the US is the largest. China is rising and aligning with Russia in many ways. All other countries are aligning with these piwers or trying to remain neutral. All three are fighting over world resources. All share many traits as all empires do. War is inevitable somewhere in the future. This last is based on human nature and history of man. War is coming.

    1. It’s not been beaten to death
Americans claim the horse is only sleeping.
It has been poisoned by the Russkies
They are starting a support group for moribund horse owners

Still, place your freaking bet, and just for you Khatika, if you win, I will throw in two invisible potions and one haste potion for free. On the house. (Best thing is I KNOW I will never have to pay this out).
      ~
Happy 22121 Khatika – personally, I think you just need some good loving.
      ~
      Your friend, Ken

      1. Now lets say, the bet you place is that WW3 ain’t gonna happen. Then the question you might have is who will payout if you win? That is a fair question anytime you back up your bet with substance.
        ~
Well it is obvious. Khatika and all of Khatika’s cohorts betting on more war will pay the price of losing this bet. I will happily take their money and whatever is they are betting with.
        ~
That is why it is a no-brainer. You win either way….or it least, you don’t lose. Those betting for war are fixing to lose the hard way cause the times they are changing. Do you sense it or do you want things to stay the same?

Tomorrow, we take our dog, Abby Mia to a long nap, and let me tell you, this Carolina yeller mutt bitch deserves it. She has lived a great life, but the weekend activities have affirmed our decision that it is time for her to go gently. I don’t have the heart to be with an old dog again waiting endlessly for it to breath its last breath. One time for that was enough and it seems unfair all around to all have to go through that sort of misery just for the sake of sentimentality.

        1. Just because I see the signs of famine, disease and war on the horizon makes me a realist and not a dreamer or ostrich with their head buried. I hope I am wrong but all the signs point to it.

        2. I agree with little if any of your comments on this post. But I give you a pass (if you want it). 2019 I lost one of the great loves of my life. I was devastated. I thought I was going to have to find my beloved puppy after I died in another dimension. But God had mercy on me and gave her back to me about 7 months later via reincarnation! Not coincidentaly I’m sure, at the same time I stopped “fighting” with God.

          1. Elaine – nice to meet you.
            ~
Fighting with “God” is a bad idea.
            ~
            Glad you learned it.
            ~
            Ken

            1. Pain has caused me to lash out at times. I used to blame God because “He” created this mess. But after my puppy died I realized it was the father of all lies that was responsible.

              1. Great Elaine.
                Thanks for sharing that.
Elaborate or expound upon the “father of all lies” if you don’t mind. Who is that in YOUR mind?
                ~
Probably it is just you who thinks this, I know I don’t believe in any father of all lies.
The truth is the truth and let me tell you a sad truth.
Sometimes puppies die, so not to be mean, but get over it why don’t ya.
My dog basically has no back left hip, she shits and pisses on the floor and I don’t mind cleaning it up, but when it is time , then it is time, and I want her time to end with dignity.
                ~
                Happy 22121.
                Later
                Elaine.
                -Ken

                1. Oh, it is 22221 now and did I say there is blood in her fecal matter and she has a look on consternation in her eyes? Did I say that. Did I say she falls down all the time and now cant even go up the steps?
She is suffering and it makes no sense for that to continue. The decision was mutual and this dog has been with us for 15 years I’ve just been told, so it is going to be sad to say goodbye, but that is the circle of life and I’m good with it.
                  Peace,
                  Ken

  35. “the only thing that can end conspiracy theorizing is for the government to become transparent and cease conspiring.”
Unfortunately, such conspiracies are the fundamental nutritional requirement of all government. Without the constant barrage of propaganda, we would soon realize that “Hey, these goons with guns working for the government roaming around and committing armed robbery, aka taxes, and physically abusing anyone who disagrees, if not killing them outright, just ain’t working out for us.” We can govern ourselves, or be governed by monsters. Only monsters desire to govern, which is nothing more nor less than threatening violence against any who disagree with them.

    1. Yep. “disagree with them” about any of their whimsical yet entrenched in entirely wrong “governments can help in this way” belief, whether their belief be genuine or not.

  36. According to the US if you are sitting on natural resources they want to steal, you’re a bad guy and need to get murdered, enslaved or evicted out of your country.

    1. That is according to all countriesxand empires since the beginning of time. Happens with bullies in school. You left out bribed.

  37. https://www.worldometers.info/demographics/life-expectancy/#countries-ranked-by-life-expectancy

The UN recently updated its data on longevity ranked by country. The US is now 46th in the world, having just been passed in delicious irony by Cuba which is 45th. Presidential numerologists take note. Americans now spend almost twice as much as Canadians and in return they get to die 4 years sooner. It might now be closer to 5 because of covid.

Cuba has none of the “FDA-approved drugs” fouling the airwaves nightly. Says a lot.

No mention of these longevity data in the US MSM. But hundreds of articles, videos and interviews about Ted Cruz’s excellent vacation.

Have American people no backbone? This is unfettered lunacy.

    1. Longevity is not just based on healthcare but genetics, diet, culture and lifestyle. Everyone likes to throw up this data and beat the healthcare drum. The US has a violent, drug ridden, poor lifestyle, poor diet and a multitude of different ethnic groups, each with their own longevity. Until you fix the other problems, the US could have the best healthcare in the world and still have lousy rankings.

      1. It’s not been beaten to death
Americans claim the horse is only sleeping.
It has been poisoned by the Russkies
They are starting a support group for moribund horse ownersf

      2. Lifestyle is not part of healthcare? What planet are you on?

        1. Lufestyle as in active sedentary etc

          1. Exercise is part of health and promoted heavily by countries with good health outcomes. So is diet.

      3. Whereas in fact the US has arguably the worst healthcare in the world, and certainly the most expensive. AND the other problems, many of which can be at least in part blamed on the same profit motive that has ruined our healthcare. Even lifestyle is to a considerable degree what we’ve been advertised and propagandized into.

        1. Agree. A short empire which will earn a dishonourable discharge.

          1. Easy to say. Sounds pompous to me.

        2. You can’t “lump” all US citizens together. There is a spectrum in healthcare quality and if you want to get to the bottom of any issue I advise understanding that before making grand declarations.
          ~
Many of us exercise with passion.
          ~
Today I shredded the hell out of some old leaves and I can’t deny it gave me great satisfaction spreading the shavings on the soil. I know that shredded leaves are better at helping things grow. Plus, it is good to get that cardiovascular blood flow going oh so good!
          ~
You can’t lump a whole country together – that is called generalization and if you are applying it to the citizenry, 80% of whom don’t trust the gubment based on a study I heard about, then you aren’t being fair in your judgement and you should know better.
          ~
Please, don’t be over simplistic with your judgmental determinations – OK.
          ~
Rebuttals to this sentiment expected and desired!
          ~
I’m seriously ready for a good fight.

          1. Buff is 100% right. I live in the land of the brave and drones. What the government does it does not mean the citizens are the same trash bag. It’s on the top you should focus on. We are all hostages of lies, deception and misinformation since we are born.

          2. I don’t think my intent was to lump Americans together. I completely agree there are many reasonable ones, but many fewer than when I was a boy. It’s conventional shorthand to lump, as elected governments are supposed to speak for the people. We know it’s much more nuanced than that, no more so than in the US.
But as such a loud and formerly influential player nationally, you can expect to be gratuitously tarred with the same brush even if you disagree.

            1. GC – I can agree with that.
              ~
I just want a bit of recognition of the ginormous gap during the last 75 years or so between what the “gubment” does what and the “People” supposedly being “governed” want.
              ~
Lately seems what the People think, desire, and want doesn’t coincide with what the gubment is doing, especially that federal one operating out of DC with such disproportionate influence that has been established and “enforced” militarily since WWII with one act of bullying after another.
              ~
I think some defensive missile capabilities have been developed by some who are sick of bullies and this disproportionate attempt to dominate will fail miserably if “push ever comes to shove”, and guess what? I think the military already know this.
              ~
I don’t think any of us will argue that there is a gap as big as the Grand Canyon when it comes to what the gubments been doing and what the People want – of course, on a spectrum, and I know who is at one end of it, as do most of us reading here I suspect, so why even say it and why keep beating a dead horse to death. The bottom line is that some of us are fedup enough about it to take it to the end because the TRUTH matters!
              ~
In the end the truth is always revealed whether “we” are here to sense this or not.
              ~
That’s my sentiment, and we laid Abby-Mai down yesterday and she died with dignity.
              ~
              Thanks,
              BK

              1. I’ve sobbed uncontrollably once in my life. When I took my ~best friend to be put down. I got a block away and drove back for one last cuddle. I understand completely.

Completely agree about the chasm between the people and the government. It’s widening. The 2party system is not fit for purpose.

  38. Wow, your clarity is sharpening and sharpening! I wish you were viral (not the influenza). You’ve got x-ray vision. You must be the mother or sister of the little boy who cried out that the king was naked. Come to Ecuador and visit with your husband. You will love it (chambalabamba.org). I thought I saw through it all, but you are younger and your vision is better. I hate to fawn, but I can appreciate.

  39. The USA Empire or the New Order is indeed narcissistic as all tyrants were. Now, don’t get me wrong but how such bright mind could be from Australia? Till today Australia has that stigma of penal colony. A vassal state. Underdog, A dung-beetle government with military forces lost in Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan shooting in all directions in order to be helpful. I remember Oliver Stone and Putin (Putin Interviews) talking about Syria. Specially the face that Putin made when talking about Australia bombing Syria. What the heck you’re doing here? LOL. Looks like it’s not a solo privilege of the Empire to be narcissistic.

    1. An Aussie I knew told me that Churchill once opined that Australians could not be trusted because they came from “bad stock”, which lets you know all you need to about Churchill’s racism. The comment did not go over well in the land of Oz.

      1. Oops. I forgot to include this link which tells much about current Australia, as do all of their greatly amusing “honest news” videos. I laughed my “arse” off watching some of these:
        theanalysis.news/political-satire/renewable-energy-not-juice-media-satire/

        1. Mike, this video just made my day! LOL

        2. … or, better yet, the home page of Juice Media:
          http://www.thejuicemedia.com

      2. I know. I just did it because Caitlin is an Aussie by accident. She is an alien like me from outer space. It’s fine.

  40. Nice!!! I really enjoyed reading that, by the way RT News really seems to like your work; l may even have seen an article of yours on their site, but I’m so busy doing research I didn’t look closer, but will be back there in a few hours after I do some more reading, and will look again. Nice work, thanks, the kind of vaccine that I really need.

  41. Once again, Ms Caitlin Johnstone delivers another home run article completely out of the park!! Thanks for the joy and goosebumps Ms Johnstone; you are heaven sent!

  42. “Lovers who are both (A) fascinated by each other and (B) dedicated to continual self-discovery can keep falling in love endlessly, because they’ll keep discovering new things about themselves for the other to love, and the other will keep uncovering new things in them to love.”

I agree… but it is so difficult in the current conditions for young people to meet a soul mate when they are masked and have to respect social distancing … and bars and restaurants and other places that someone might meet the soul mate are closed. Nothing very romantic.

I envy those who lived during the romantic era; unfortunately we are living in the bullshit era where decadence is everywhere.

The end of the world must be very near.

    Keeping my Rosary on hand!

    1. Michel, the worlds not ending.
      Just “manunkind.”

    2. Michel, We all share similar concerns.

Keeping your “Rosary On Hand” seems to be the epitome of superstition.

How do you reconcile this with you many other astute observations?

For many decades, I was persuaded that “Praying” would help. Turns out it didn’t. I don’t do it anymore.

Can you help me understand why you are “Keeping my Rosary on hand”?

ps: Caitlin – This was another excellent “Notes from the edge…” Your first paragraph set the tone. So many people around the world appreciate your work.

      1. Are you the person who posted a link to, “The Now Word”, by Mark Mallett? If so, I just want you to know that the Pope does occasionally talk to him, and, although, I wouldn’t know for sure, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised that he doesn’t occasionally read Caitlin’s essays.

        1. No. I am not that person.

    3. You are right – Love is an ever expanding trust in one another and an ever expanding respect of each others character.

      NO trust NO love !

      Most don’t understand this.

  43. So, then it’s our, your or their choice.

The US wants Russia and China to rein in their respective strategic nuclear arsenals while it modernizes its own nuclear defenses at the same time. When it comes to strategic nukes, the US can’t have its cake and eat it…

War is apparently an invention of the Ancient Sea People of the Mediterranean, various forms of their religion that are still in existence today in a basically unchanged form to guide us into the future.

    https://www.sciencenews.org/article/war-arose-recently-anthropologists-contend

The new evidence suggests that humans have evolved a tendency to avoid killing in general, the researchers contend. War originated only within the past 10,000 years, in their view, with armed conflicts intensifying as the first states expanded between 6,000 and 4,000 years ago.

“Fry and Söderberg go against the popular tide in science … and win hands down,” says anthropologist R. Brian Ferguson of Rutgers University in Newark, N.J.

Archaeological evidence from Europe, the Middle East and western Asia contains relatively few signs of murder and war until after 10,000 years ago, he says.

Wrangham considers periodically warring hunter-gatherer groups to be the best available models of Stone Age practices. In a 2012 paper, he and a colleague proposed that ancient people in groups such as these evolved a tendency for males to band together and opportunistically kill members of rival groups — much as chimpanzees do.
The great unanswered question, Wiessner says, concerns “how different societies harnessed and tamed aggression to build larger societies throughout human evolution.”

    1. 10,000 years ago? Curious. Along with the beginning of a fantastic period of good weather, that’s just about the same time roving gangs of marauders started to settle down and make their predation an ongoing thing in a particular area. Less work, more reward. They called themselves government and somehow convinced us that holding a gun, or a club to our heads, threatening to kill us if we didn’t go along, was “for our own good”. As a result, we got war. Which is nothing other than convincing us that helping the former roving gang of marauders pillage and rape other areas for their profit is a good thing for us. After all, if subjugating ourselves to the threat of violence to force compliance is a good thing, doing it to people elsewhere must be too. And since they aren’t “us” there are no limits. A thing that will never change as long as there is government.

      1. unfortunately that also.

      2. You know JWK – the gubment is a big lie, and really there are some basic things we should have all learned in kindergarten. It is amazing to me how the conversation goes on for so long sometimes, but I reckon some – myself included I suppose – like to listen to themselves talk sometimes.
        ~
I think it is time for action. More action and less words is what I think. I also think I have appreciated pretty much everything you have ever said. I ain’t a fan of the gubment, and I want to put the gubment in it place, but I think there is a place for that. Just can’t quite figure out this puzzle by my lonesome.
        ~
Maybe the new Elaine can help. Hey Elaine…..are your helpful or not?

      3. You’re probably right, which makes us no different than any other animal; if that’s how we want to live.
