The empire expends so much of its wealth and energy on mass scale narrative control via propaganda not because it wants to, but because it needs to. This tells us that the best way to oppose the empire is to help debunk, discredit and break public trust in the narratives it works so hard to circulate.

If you say something seemingly innocuous to your friend and it triggers and upsets them, this tells you you’ve touched on a sensitive area they feel defensive about. Similarly, imperial narrative managers freak out at anyone who questions the empire’s Official Doctrine.

What are they guarding? They are guarding imperial narrative control, that’s what they’re guarding. They’re aggressively protecting their utterly essential ability to control the thoughts people think in their heads at mass scale, and in so doing they are inadvertently telling you where to find the weak parts in the armor of the machine.

The most effective way to resist imperialism is to help debunk and discredit the empire’s propaganda narratives. The most effective way to help advance imperialism is to help circulate the empire’s propaganda narratives.

The problem isn’t that we are ruled by tyrants, it’s that we’re ruled by tyrants and don’t know it. If we weren’t being manipulated at mass scale by propaganda away from a clear seeing of what’s going on, we’d eliminate tyrants as easily as you eliminate a mosquito on your arm.

When a normal person does something wrong, they admit it, apologize, take action to fix it, and take steps to make sure it never happens again. When a sociopath does something wrong, they rearrange narratives to try and make it look like they did something right. How our rulers handled Iraq says which one they are.

It’s nuts how the US is circling the planet with military bases, waging nonstop wars, sanctioning children to death and flirting with nuclear war and people are still like “We really need to do something about Cuba”.

People who call you a Russian agent or CCP propagandist for opposing US imperialism are admitting to being so fucking stupid that they can’t imagine any other scenario in which someone might oppose the worst behaviors of the most powerful and destructive government on our planet.

Mentally translate every single mass media news cycle into “Here are some reasons why you should believe it’s good for poverty and wars to continue while plutocrats rule over you with an iron fist.”

People don’t generally heal their inner trauma until they are in a safe, stable space which allows them to do so. Humanity as a whole desperately needs such a space to heal from countless generations of trauma. Socialism would be a good tool for providing ourselves such a space.

A big part of America’s ongoing mass shooting epidemic is due to Americans being the most propagandized population on the planet in the most warmongering nation on the planet. You can only twist and pummel the human psyche so much before it snaps, and you can only terrorize the rest of the world so much before you receive violence at home.

Hint: if one power is surrounding another power with military forces, then that power is the aggressor. Anything the other power then does on the world stage in response to this aggression is called “defense”, not “imperialism”.

It is an indisputable fact that Biden has picked up exactly where Trump left off on anti-Beijing hawkishness. If you don’t know this, it’s because you live in an echo chamber.

Elon Musk has a very unusual type of narcissism which causes him to think the world revolves around Elon Musk and also somehow causes millions of other people to think that too.

For a brief time there lived a species which spent its final moments hurtling toward climate collapse and nuclear war arguing about whether or not younger generations had gotten too “woke”.

Half of western natsec news stories these days boil down to “Unnamed officials claim imperialism-targeted nation did invisible bad thing for which the evidence is classified”.

Ever noticed how people who call themselves “realists” are usually the most unrealistic people in the conversation? They’re like “Yeah I’m a realist, I support continuing a political, economic and military model that’s about to get us all killed. Pretty sure that’s the best way.”

“I’m a realist, which means I support having the entirety of human behavior driven by the pursuit of imaginary numbers in a made-up economic system even if we have to destroy the ecosystem and nuke ourselves to death in the process.”

“I’m a realist, which means I support trying to advance urgently needed revolutionary changes through a political party that is deliberately set up to prevent such changes.”

False spirituality offers sedation and escapism from reality; it is very convenient for the powerful. True spirituality means expanding consciousness of reality: consciousness of our inner dynamics and outer dynamics which lead to suffering. Nearly all spirituality today is false.

False spirituality helps you hide the ugly truths within and without by offering comforting narratives and practices which help sedate your emotional body. True spirituality brings consciousness to those ugly truths, within and without, and brings them into the light to be seen.

The powerful benefit from false spirituality. They say “Use mindfulness and deep breathing exercises to help you cope with the stress of a meaningless, exploitative job!” They glorify meekness, obedience and poverty, and extoll us to forgive those who have committed great evils.

True spirituality is the last thing the powerful would ever want to go mainstream, because it means waking up to reality. It means no longer being able to tolerate untruth, in oneself or in society. The powerful thrive on untruth, on hiddenness: the opposite of of what true spirituality brings.

Humanity embracing true spirituality would mean a transformation in our relationship with mental narrative, which would be impossibly disruptive to the propaganda techniques the powerful use to propagandize us, and it would mean getting real with ourselves about the nature of our persecutors.

Dysfunction and consciousness cannot coexist. Where there is sufficiently deep awareness that something is dysfunctional, the dysfunction naturally moves toward health. True spirituality and corrupt power are therefore natural enemies, because true spirituality expands awareness.

  1. Debunk And Discredit The Empire’s Propaganda. Except when it’s about capitalism vs socialism, right vs left. That propaganda is ok I guess.

  2. Forgiveness is a noble aim but is not always humanly possible.

  3. Caitlin, can you describe what you mean by socialism?

  4. Caitlin and Tim, see what happens when you use a label rather than describing the human behavior that you, presumably, believe that label supposedly describes? Stick with behavior and you can’t go wrong.

One might hope that a label would be a sort of short-cut that would eliminate the need to spell out certain behavior time and time again. But, quite obviously, this is not the case. Instead, confusion reigns in label-world because, once again, everyone saying, speaking or writing the labels would have to agree on their definitions in terms of, again, the behavior these labels “represent” and, IMO, this will continue to be, as it has in the distant-to-recent past, a never-ending endeavor. There are far more productive ways to expend our energy and there is no time (tome?) like the present to do it.

For example, the 3 young human beings who inherited from their father a factory that had been in our city of 20,000 people for 75 years – one that employed 3,000 of those 20,000 people in well-paying jobs – suddenly decided to close down the factory and moved their capital equipment to a place on the planet where there were desperately poor, starving people who were “willing” to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, for food and a place on the factory floor to sleep. Those three owners are making much more profit as a result of that move. The 3 “owners” are ecstatic about their decision.

The employees of the factory who were about to lose their livelihoods were in panic mode because they knew full well that there were no other jobs in their city. The owners of the local businesses that depended upon the employees of the factory continuing to spend their money in their establishments were also in panic mode. They contacted their political representatives at the local, state and federal levels, but they were told that because the factory was “privately” owned, the owners were “free” to do with their “property” whatever they chose, including moving the factory to a location on the planet where they could “maximize profit”.

The factory workers and local business owners decided to do something in an attempt to keep the factory in the city. They decided to protest the factory closure by surrounding the factory to prevent the equipment from being moved. This worked for the few days that it took the 3 owners of the factory’s lawyers to go to a court of law. In short, however many taxpayer-paid government employees carrying firearms it took to arrest and jail however many protesters it took to allow the capital equipment to be removed from the factory was ordered and the equipment was removed from the factory and relocated. Our town and its 19,997 people were economically devastated. The three owners of the factory were elated at their newfound wealth.

Now, will the vast majority of people living in this present arrangement agree that the above outcome was unacceptable and that the arrangement that allowed it must be changed? I think the answer may very well be “yes”. So then the question is: Just exactly WHAT is a better arrangement? Do we want to discuss the details of a better arrangement, or would we all rather spend our lifetimes arguing about the definitions of labels and pointing fingers and name-calling? I know which option OTEC would prefer; they’ll even print some new labels for us to argue about.

    1. Great example.
And I know people who would say that the outcome was morally right.

  5. Here are some points I’ll make. These are my ‘perceptions’ and thoughts at the moment. If you can change them, then great do that. Don’t though just expect me to accept your perceptions and thoughts ‘just because’ and then shout me into submission. That really will not win me over.
    1 Socialism
    A. same in essence as communism, yes, no, true, false, how, how not???
    B. “For the people” you say? Did not a U.S president say, “of the people, for the people, by the people” ? Is this not supposed to in theory be a ‘Representative Gov’? How are the claims of socialism different?
    C. power, Does not absolute power corrupt absolutely? when any official gov. takes charge will not these corrosive effects become evident? How would Socialism be different?.
D Individuals, Is socialism no different in that at the end of the day there is an individual or group of individuals who hold power and make decisions for the ‘people’ how will these decisions be any better considering they are not part of an ‘elected’ gov or representative gov. and if they are, how is this different?
E Considering the genocidal deaths of previous communist gov. What does this say about the power of ‘Authority’? Do we not often rail against ‘Authority’ here on this blog? How will the Authority inherent is Socialism be different from that is Capitalism?
    F. What are the rights of the Individual? Has history not shown it is often the ‘Individual’ who goes against the grain who really makes the difference? How will the individual fair in a Socialist gov.?
    G. Why would it be different ‘this time’ when the elements are all the same – individuals with power, promises, would there be gov. propaganda? why? What are the base, core elements and how are they alike or different than capitalism?
    H. Are the failures of Capitalism really the failures of capitalism. What about the effects of abandoning the gold standard for fiat. what part do central banks have in undermining capitalism, Do the failing of the human character not after time insulate themselves into society through law and propaganda? Is the fault of capitalism? what is capitalism and what is it based on?
    I. Are there just bad people in the world? and how do you root them out, deal with them? Do they wave a flag and say here I am? will socialism root them out? how?
    J. What are the rights of the Individual? Is everything looked at from an economic viewpoint including the rights of the individual in Socialism?
    K. What about societal forces, in my mind this is a large and overlooked factor effecting us all. How will socialism deal with these and Does Socialism factor in this or address this?
    L. Why do the adherents of Socialism/Communism seem so often to shout down opponents? Can they not produce a rational argument? Will people just not listen to them? Is this why communism is often aligned with violent takeover or is it? If yes, then is not the force of ‘power’ the bedrock of Socialism followed by the ideas of socialism?
M.. I believe this Quote by Buckminster Fuller has been thrown around here, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” How does socialism meet this criteria?

    1. Thank you for very clearly defining why I am an anarchist. Socialism is far better than capitalism, but still requires government. Do what we tell you to or else=government.

You are thinking, pal. I would like you to read my reply to another post further down.

    3. There’s never been a socialist or communist government in history. The same goes for a democracy, never been one, not likely to be one. Now, there are some more humane societies, compare Denmark or Finland to the USA, all rich countries. All flawed as all societies are but the first two are more humane, more egalitarian. The USA, more socially darwinian, more brutal, less egalitarian. Obviously, the USA feels the need to be an empire and like all empires it can be and is brutal at home and abroad. Economic theorist’s are fixated on numbers, not people, very sick, most of them. My point is that there’s better places to live for the majority of workers and places better for the minority of the sociopaths of greed. The sociopaths of greed do pretty good in Denmark and so do the workers. Not so in the USA.

  6. Was talking to a local politician about government and how inteusive it has become. He replied that I sounded like an anarchist. Just spectate the collapse, you wont convince anyone of their deep held beliefs.

  7. hi

I posted this to you on twitter but you get mobbed with replies and probably missed it. I think it’s really important as it will affect our current ability to criticise the propaganda press if enacted and criticism will be classed as attacks (because as far as I know no “journalist” apart from the non-corporate MSM type have ever been physically attacked e.g. Julian Assange and Tommy Robinson)

    This is “the Bill” https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-action-plan-for-the-safety-of-journalists/national-action-plan-for-the-safety-of-journalists

  8. ‘Socialism’ is a trigger word for a lot of people.

    1. State managed economy, whatever nametag it wears, is a trigger word for me. Fascism, Capitalism, Socialism, if run by the state involve the state’s assumption that they have sole authority to kill you if you don’t comply. A thing that simply cannot engender peace and cooperation.

      1. Who gives a crap. That’s your own idiotic hangup. Someone is going to manage the economy, whether it’s a state that could be theoretically of and for the population or a bunch of rich guys who are all in it for themselves and who don’t give a crap about you.

I guess what I’m saying is that it’s okay to be stupid if that’s the best that you can do, just don’t expect to take it out in public and receive praise for it.

        1. 80 words or so typed, 40 or so words used to demean with hate and you didn’t even address what they said. How are we all supposed to work this all out when no one wants to listen? I hope this isn’t the ‘co-operation’ the ‘Co-operatives is filled with. All you did is prove his assumption if only on a small scale.

        2. So you “believe” that government preceded economy? I don’t give a damn about being praised. I’m only concerned with truth, which seldom is. Big key there in your reply, “a state that could be theoretically of and for the population” When in the wide wide world of sports did any such thing ever exist? You don’t get a criminal gang who claims authority to kill you if you don’t go along, to work for the population. They work for themselves and their cohorts.

  9. It was doing great till “Socialism would be a good tool for providing ourselves such a space….” It’s not your fault. I know what you mean. You live in Australia. Not much personal experience about other countries. But in several places the socialist experiment was a disaster undermined from inside. Do you wanna lose people interest or they start not taking you seriously? Just start talking about what you don’t know how it works in the lives of those who are already philosophical doctors in a daily life basis dealing with it. If you don’t know how to put it, it’s better to stay writing about what you do the best in your blog. And then came that spiritual part kind of my nephew clairvoyant…. I liked it but in a world poisoned for good about traditional religions, it’s better to not touch on that spot. Too many fronts will make your narrative weak in some topics. Choose the battles you wanna really help with consistency. You can do that. You tha best.

    1. If socialism and spirituality makes you shit your pants like this, you’re not going to enjoy this blog.

      1. It doesn’t bother me at all. But you should consider this viewpoint as a remote possibility. What makes me shit my pants is every time when I hit your weak points hearing what you don’t like and cursing like revolted homeless. I’m sorry for that.

        1. He says, as he calls himself “Salty Bastard” and taunts the author because he doesn’t like socialism.

Hey, the single payer healthcare in Canada is great.

          1. You’re entire statement, minus stating the obvious, “single payer healthcare in Canada is great”.

      2. Agree with Salty, People are here because we all see the insanity infecting the human race as possibly terminal. We all have this in common as opposed to people doing whatever it is they are doing (sports, boating, barbeque) I don’t know.? Salty’s last 7 words were, “You can do that. You tha best” to which you reply, “you’re not going to enjoy this blog” as in move along cowboy. I don’t think you take criticism very well. Next I would say you are not a very good listener.
My thoughts, you can rage against the machine, I have been watching people do that for at least 20 years and it slowly got worse and worse and, and you will be raging against the machine when the bombs drop. Or now that you have called this meeting you can lead it in a dignified manner and we could all attempt to create or work something out. We need something we can believe in other than rage. Mutual respect and appreciation would be a start.

        1. That’s it Clint Eastwood. I’m here because I love what Caitlin writes. It has been helping out to discuss with my neighbors and with people I meet in gas stations, supermarkets, sidewalks. People want to have their freedoms back. They want to have dignity to walk and to breath with their families. That’s where the debate of the whole humankind is right now. No one is happy about that worldwide and we’re being treated as terrorists in beaches, family meetings and on. I’m not here to learn how to be a pig cursing at everything or everyone. Nor I give a shit about capitalism, socialism, anarchism, god or what the heck else.

          1. My whole thesis Salty is that the human intellect is the most powerful force on Earth and that that intellect is expressed best rationally and logically. If you know from talking to people, this is not always the case. I personally feel societal pressures, sociology are more in play than logic and reason. Here are some links I see as the only real hope. I do feel they meet the criteria Mr. Fuller whom I quoted above laid out. May be right, may be wrong just the way I see it. Thanks. Take care

        2. Mutual respect and admiration doesn’t look like commanding socialists to stop endorsing socialism.

          1. omg. how can someone write beautiful articles and write awful comments full of resentment, anger, hate. Okay, I quit. Farewell.

            1. Salty, Just consider her 2nd reply as what she should have said first, even though you were not “commanding” her to do anything. Socialism is perhaps her lifeboat in the stormy seas. My philosophy is we all just have to try to live up to who we are, so don’t sweat it. Sometimes I wonder at what a ragtag rebel resistance we are. Keep up the good fight. I hate the programmer who set up this comments section.

          2. I don’t think he was “commanding” you. I believe he was just giving feedback.

    2. Just because past efforts to implement socialism didn’t work out that well doesn’t mean it can’t work. Take a good hard look at our version of democracy, it is seriously flawed, still very archaic, and heavily corrupted – but it could work if done better, as could socialism.

You need to look beyond the problems of the past to the intent of socialism, that is people-oriented government rather than our current business-focused capitalist system. The intent is a fairer and more sustainable model of government and business that addresses our current problems better.

Don’t reject what Cailtin is saying just because you don’t like it or don’t understand it.

Friend, if you would read Ludwig von Mises or F. A. Hayek, you would understand why socialism cannot possibly work. What we have now is not honest free enterprise. You can call it capitalism or crony capitalism if you want to, but it is really just old-fashioned corruption.
The intellectual framework to explain how free enterprise goes along with individual freedom is there. It has been worked out. State-licensed teachers won’t tell you about it, but it is there. You may not want to believe it, but all historical experience supports it.
It is true that people with more money are able to buy political power and use it to fortify their superior positions. That is a defect of democracy, not of free enterprise.
The first major piece of writing justifying and explaining economic freedom in English was ‘The Wealth of Nations,’ by Adam Smith. Many people like myself who saw him referred to condescendingly in school and went to the trouble of reading his book have been greatly impressed by it, and have gone on to spend a lifetime supporting the business structure as it exists today.
Adam Smith very vividly explained division of labour and how we can get much more done if we each do what we do best, and exchange our products. This was already happening on a large scale before he wrote his book: he just explained it. What he left out of his book is that there are two other ways for human beings to get what they want from other human beings: by force and by deception. The people who live by force or by deception come together to form governments. Some of the people who live by honest exchange suck up to them and get to use their authority to gain unfair advantages in business or work.
That is, in essence, all there is to it. There is a great deal more detail that I could go into, but it would take a book, and no-one would publish it. People tried to prevent F. A. Hayek’s book (I mentioned him above) from being published, and he was a far more established intellectual than I am.

        1. I’ve seen socialism work, your schoolbooks not withstanding.

        2. I think the idea of “how free enterprise goes along with individual freedom” is very important. Also, “other ways for human beings to get what they want from other human beings: by force and by deception” Here perhaps I believe it is more about deception, at least on the larger scale. This is what Caitlin writes much about. Before the armies march they must be sold the idea, “those people are bad”
As you said though, “to get what they want”. Humans are really at their core selfish beings. It seems so often a matter of Individual freedoms and lives being tossed to the side because of, ‘what other people want’
I really wish sometimes we could throw all the labels, (capitalism, socialism) away and start from scratch. What is it we all really want? What is it that is getting in the way?
For me in the grand scheme of things I see the difficulty of even honest people with good intentions finding a way to reconcile different beliefs they have formed over perhaps decades. Also there are the sociological forces, where people are exposed to forces of pressure and forces of support (intellectually, emotionally, financially) that have nothing remotely to do with the human capacity for reason and logic.
That is why I constantly pitch for a ‘Collective Intelligence’ as I believe it would overcome the fundamental issues we face. I left links up there for Salty. Otherwise all I see is more of the same – War. the great reset/reconciler and people finding the box they choose to defend because they somehow believe it represents their ‘values’.

Thanks for this comment. I have gone into this in more detail elsewhere. I gather that it is not possible to just post a web address on these forums, but it is on wordpress, and the main part of the address is viewofsociety. It has been sitting there for twelve years, I think. I am seventy years old and am having a hard time keeping up with technology. I thought I would just have to build a ball, and other people would run with it, but that hasn’t happened.

        3. So how do you reconcile your admiration for the Austrian School and its subjective value bullshit which undermines and destroys Adam Smiths (essentially socialist) framework, paved the way for Chicago School and our current Financial Capitalism model, with your reverence for Wealth of Nations?
Is it cos you’re full of shit?
          Yes.

          1. Paul Douglas Rackemann Avatar
            Paul Douglas Rackemann

            Friend,
You must be right and I must be really stupid because I can’t make sense of your comments.
Value is subjective. I value a calf, and so does its mother, but the reasons we value the calf are very different, and how much we value the calf is also different. The calf is everything in the world to its mother, but to me it is a potential source of income. In economics, free exchange only takes place if both parties gain, which mean that both parties get more than they give up. This isn’t of course obvious to someone who has a fixed income and thinks he is being robbed if a price goes up.
There is a kind of person who is intelligent enough to handle mathematics (and I am not knocking that), but isn’t smart enough to handle subtleties, and thinks you can reduce everything to statistics. That is the sort of person who wouldn’t understand Austrian economics – which just means economics as a science, not as propaganda.
If you think Adam Smith’s economics is socialist, I think you have fallen out of your tree. No doubt private property existed before Adam Smith, but he provided an intellectual justification for it. There isn’t much excuse for condemning private property or lending money at interest (as the Christians used to do) after you have read ‘The Wealth of Nations.’ I haven’t yet read the ‘Theory of Moral Sentiments,’ so you may be able to teach me things about that.
As for the Chicago School, I think it just used mathematical economics more rigorously than the original Keynesians did. It is quite easy to use mathematical graphs to disprove Keynesian doctrines, because the Keynesians were at least honest enough to use genuine mathematical tools. I get the impression that the strength of Keynesian economics is that most people do not understand statistics or even the use of graphs, but aren’t about to admit it, so they pretend to understand and agree with whatever explanations and recommendations the Keynesian economists come up with.

Salty bastard check out workers cooperative in Mondragon {Spain} Corporate Kapitalism will not be our Saviour it is an evil and has to named as such and confronted.

      1. The Mondragon full all round co-operative experiment is wonderful and it would be glorious to see it rolled out everywhere. Horizontal governance at work! Bear in mind that co-ops are already truly international and that there are more than 3 million co-operatives already around the world. https://www.ica.coop/en/cooperatives/facts-and-figures I don’t know about confrontation however since the mentally ill capitalists have all the weaponry but we do have the numbers. We should do what Bruce Lee suggested and flow round obstacles like water.

  12. I am so in sync with you Caitlin, this morning at 3:30 am I wrote this:

We Are All Being Manipulated BigTime

In 1958 Aldous Huxley, the great English author who wrote Brave New World in 1931 which demonstrates how psychological manipulation and classical conditioning are combined to make a dystopian society which is challenged by only a single individual (Aldous Huxley interviewed by Mike Wallace : 1958 (Full) – YouTube).

George Orwell in the 40’s wrote 1984 and Animal Farm, 2 classics that are also about how humans could be enslaved without them recognizing the fact that they are enslaved and instead imagine that they are free (Love Your Servitude – Aldous Huxley & George Orwell – YouTube   ) . How this is the ultimate way to control and how the media, films, music, education, religion, even the culture are all manipulated and manufactured (Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media – Feature Film – YouTube) , such that humans are made to believe in lies that are repeated over and over, presented as facts, assumed to be correct by all and everyone, and thus humanity is managed without the need for naked brute force, though the naked, brute force is always there, ready to be used if necessary. It’s like having a gun up your sleeve.

After years of continuous programming, humanity is being herded into an inescapable dystopia completely unawares that could be leading us towards our only possible escape which would be extinction. This seems to be the horrible reality that we are facing now.

Government and the economy are intertwined, they are the 2 headed eagle or dragon that often is used as a symbol of governments. Most people still don’t recognize how capitalism, which intentionally always has more workers than jobs, which always keeps wages down to the minimum. Nowadays, many families need both the father and mother to hold jobs to have an income sufficient enough for the basic needs. Slaves before the Civil War were often given the very minimum to be able to exist and work.

When naked slavery was too unsavory for the sensibilities of the times, it was replaced with wage slavery, which was a modernized form where shackles and guards were no longer necessary and people would voluntarily go to their offices and places of work in their “pursuit of happiness” with the hope and dream of some day becoming rich enough to not have to work and to be able to pay people to do all of their work. The carrot on a stick strategy. And when people rebelled, they just used the stick and brutalized strikers and unions. This is our history.

For centuries governments have committed atrocities, the most glaring is waging war and destroying whole societies, murdering millions, and creating world wide refugees. People were propaganized into accepting this as necessary, as preserving their “liberty and freedom”.  So, the manipulation of the public is nothing new, it has only become much more refined, sophisticated, ubiquitous, and powerful.

This is modern tyranny. People think of tyranny as Hitler and Mussolini, they both used propaganda very successfully as well, but they relied on naked brute force. huge robot-like armies and brutal police. The tyrannical governments still have all that and once they can use actual robots instead of humans, they will be even more formidable because with humans there is always the hope and possibility that they will side with the people and abandon the corrupt government.

The government is making life untenable if you don’t submit to them jabbing something into your body that they call a vaccine. This is tyranny, invading the sovereignty of our bodies. But no one seems to recognize this or speak about it. We have been conditioned to accept our voluntary slavery, to accept brutal war, and now to accept tyranny. It is a terrifying situation, exactly like the protagonist Winston Smith experienced in Orwell’s 1984 in which he was eventually and inevitably crushed and subsumed into the heartless, tyrannical system (A Final Warning from George Orwell – YouTube  ).

All the rebellions, revolutions, protests, and insurrections have not stopped humanity from being swept into this dystopic state. One big reason is that changing of the guard does not work, as the new people in government can easily be manipulated by bribes or intimidation, as history has affirmed. To finally avoid this, I believe we must restructure all governments from vertical top down to horizontal bottom up, eliminating politicians and lobbyists, decentralized, much more truly democratic, effective, and efficient: Horizontal Government – The Conscious Solution to End Corruption in 2021 – YouTube

Our only hope I believe, is to unify digitally like minded individuals and organizations by the millions to the billions with state of the art tools for collaboration and organizing. This however, is a daunting task that we and others are attempting to create and which may need at least another year before it is ready to launch. People at the same time are working on creating a new “clean” internet and a new kind of facebook which is uncensored and not utilizing our personal data to make a profit. These are all in the works and take a lot of time to manifest with the complexities of coding. utopiacornucopia.org

    1. Good stuff, mate! I’ve been advocating similar in the form of Peoples’ Congresses/Citizen’s Assemblies. I’ve signed up for your newsletter. Keep it coming!

  13. “Unnamed officials claim imperialism-targeted nation did invisible bad thing for which the evidence is classified”. Made me laugh, bitterly, not in jest. The few I dare speak to, do not know of building 7 and believe Julian Assange endangered our noble Freedom Fighters. Writing worth reading, for sure.

Similarly, the militarization of Washington is becoming another topic for regime experts to analyze. The bizarre reaction of the inner party to the very peaceful demonstrations in January makes no sense at face value. There must be another reason for why they are telling the citizens that they will shoot the next demonstrators who come into the city to petition their rulers for redress. The question is, what are they plotting next?

That is the problem with black-box government. When Brezhnev was in control of the party, people did not need to know what was going inside the Kremlin, because the Kremlin was predictable. It is why Russians who remember those days look back fondly on those times. It was a time relatively free of politics. They woke up every day knowing the rules were going to be the same as they were yesterday. When the black box became unstable, no one could be sure of anything.

This is the state of the American regime. No one knows what is really going behind the razor wire and Army troops patrolling it. We are left to analyze video of Biden falling down the stairs of Air Force One and reading the body language of his handlers. Amateur linguists try to tease meaning out of his incoherent mutterings on Zoom sessions. The other geriatrics running the party are scrutinized by regime analysts, looking for clues to contextualize their behavior.

Like the Soviet empire, the American empire is now a confusing black box. It does things and makes noises, but none of it can be accepted on its face, so the world is left to guess. As citizens, we are forced to rely on private networks and create our own narratives to explain what we are seeing. There is the public truth and then millions of private truths. This is the result of black-box government. It is a wilderness of lies.

    1. In related news, the Brits are about to eliminate protests.
      https://www.politics.co.uk/comment/2021/03/16/anti-protest-bill-freedom-dies-in-silence/

“Today, the government did not even try to justify what it was doing. Tory MPs barely pretended to have read the bill, let alone understand its contents, let alone challenge them. The great champions of English liberties didn’t say a word.
It was a silence. A silence as deep and wide and profound as that which they intend to impose on protestors. And that was the most frightening thing of all.”
