Poverty Is A Weapon Of The Powerful: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix

Listen to a reading of this article:

Learn enough about what’s happening in the world and you realize that most people in your society have worldviews that are completely and utterly wrong. This can seem bold, perhaps even arrogant, but if most people weren’t deluded about the world, the world wouldn’t be so fucked.

And it’s not that people are dumb; intelligence has little to do with it. Some of the most intelligent people on earth promote the same deluded worldviews as everyone else. The problem isn’t intellect, it’s manipulation, and anyone can be manipulated no matter how smart they are. This mass-scale manipulation is the result of wealthy people buying up narrative influence in the form of media, political influence, think tanks, lobbying, NGOs, etc, in conjunction with the mass-scale manipulations of the powerful government agencies which are allied with them.

The powerful work to manipulate the way the general public thinks, acts and votes to ensure that they remain in power. They pay special attention to who the most influential people in our society are, which is why the most prominent voices are so often the most delusional. There are filters in place designed to keep anyone from rising to positions of influence if they don’t support the consensus worldview promoted by the oligarchic empire, and once they do rise to influence they are actively herded into echo chambers which reinforce that worldview.

This is further exacerbated by the fact that the most influential voices in a virulently capitalist society will be those who have profited and benefited from the status quo. Of course they’re going to believe the system is working fine; it treats them like royalty.

This is why you can’t defer to recognized authorities when it comes to understanding your world; the system which selects and installs those authorities is designed to serve the powerful, not to tell the truth. The responsibility for understanding your world is yours, and yours alone.

Poverty itself is a weapon of the powerful. Keep people too poor to fund political campaigns and you keep them powerless. Keep them too busy to research and they can’t see through your propaganda. Keep them desperate and you can get them hating each other instead of hating you. They’re not just robbing ordinary people so they can have more for themselves; the poverty itself actually benefits them. They would benefit from keeping you poor even if it gave them nothing else.

It is not a coincidence that the most crucial nation in the oligarchic empire, the US, has the highest level of this kind of weaponized poverty. There’s a lot of power riding on what happens in America, so the powerful do everything they can to keep Americans under control.

People who act like China lifting millions out of poverty is no big deal have never lived in poverty.

If you don’t oppose western imperialist agendas against China then none of your other anti-imperialism matters. All of the western empire’s aggressions on the world stage are ultimately about smashing China; that’s checkmate on the global chessboard in the eyes of the empire. Preventing the rise of any other nation has been the foremost priority of the US empire since the fall of the Soviet Union. All the other little chess moves on the board have revolved around this ultimate goal. China is the only nation in a position to surpass the US.

The western empire has been acutely aware that China would need to be smashed since before the empire had its headquarters in Washington. As Winston Churchill once put it:

“I think we shall have to take the Chinese in hand and regulate them. I believe that as civilized nations become more powerful they will get more ruthless, and the time will come when the world will impatiently bear the existence of great barbaric nations who may at any time arm themselves and menace civilized nations. I believe in the ultimate partition of China—I mean ultimate. I hope we shall not have to do it in our day. The Aryan stock is bound to triumph.”

Uh-oh, looks like Peru is going to need some help with its Freedom and Democracy. Anyone know any powerful governments who might be interested in helping Peru get some Freedom and Democracy?

Still mad at Assad for arming Al Qaeda and ISIS against himself and then imposing starvation sanctions on Syrians to keep himself from rebuilding the country.

I’m writing a horror movie about a group of psychopathic murderers inserting themselves into the world’s most powerful positions and terrorizing entire populations using the most deadly military force ever assembled.

It’s weird how few of the people opposing specific aspects of the imperial war machine do so on the foundational principle that murdering people is wrong and trying to dominate the entire planet is bad.

Electoral politics is decoy revolution. Don’t like the status quo? Elect Obama for Hope and Change! Still dislike the status quo? Elect Trump, he’ll fight the establishment! Oh no, Trump’s a fascist! Quick, fight fascism by electing Biden! And you elect the status quo each time.

Trump may have permanently broken liberals’ ability to think about politics in a way that doesn’t revolve around Trump.

Only infantile bootlickers want government-tied monopolistic internet platforms controlling what people can and cannot say about government Covid responses that affect everyone.

Oligarchs using disasters to rob the people and siphon their wealth to themselves is a feature, not a bug, of capitalism. Covid isn’t an aberration but a continuation of a well-established pattern, one which will necessarily last as long as the exploitation of the working class.

“The Covid scam is the most evil thing happening in the world!”

No, you only think that because most of the time this well-established pattern doesn’t affect you personally in a concrete and observable way. This has been happening for a very long time, and it’s going to keep happening until the end of capitalism.

It’s funny how people think AI is going to save humanity when the people who control the AI are the worst humans alive.

FYI what divides the left is not leftists saying things that other leftists disagree with, it’s leftists being incapable of tolerating other leftists saying things they disagree with.

Once you’re clear that human behavior is driving us into extinction via nuclear war or climate collapse, once you’ve really grokked into the reality of what this means, it’s hard to take the sectarian ideological stuff seriously. We’re fucking dying, people. Quit dicking around.

  • China keeps US big box stores filled with cheap crap. If the US were to start a military or economic war with China, the US would experience instant hyperinflation.

  • “If you don’t oppose western imperialist agendas against China then none of your other anti-imperialism matters.” Really.
    .
At the present time, there is no way the United States is going to smash China. China is passing the United States’ economy so fast that Milton Friedman’s bones are being swept out of his grave by the wind.
    .
You seem to forget Tienanmen Square, which was so much more than Tienanmen Square, it was the whole of the Chinese working class putting their lives on the line to demand freedom of expression, the right to their own person, the right to have a voice in government; and so much more.
    .
In that struggle, the people of China mostly lost, but not entirely. In order to prevent another such uprising, the CCP created free economic zones so that even though the people had no voice in how they were governed, at least some of the people that rose to the top in these free economic zones would have money, lots of money, so that the rest of the peasantry class would have something to aspire to.
    .
By 2030 or 2035 China will own the United States and the Chinese military will have pretty much surpassed the U.S. as well, so they will no longer have to worry about a military or economic assault by the United States. With that much power, what will China become?

    • Quite so. It seems the reports we got in the West of the so-called “Tien An Men massacre” were another opportunistic secret services psy-op with the über-famous Tank Man being totally taken out of context. According to eye-winesses and Wikileaks documents, the students left the square peacefully but it was the Chinese workers who fought all over the joint – not only in Beijing but also in Shanghai and possibly elsewhere – for better living conditions, especially in view of the corruption and taylorism of the new capitalists. Surprise surprise :o)

    • Chinese working class had nothing to do with it
“The pursuit of wealth is part of the impetus for democracy,” explained another top student leader Wang Dan, in an interview with the Washington Post in 1993, on the fourth anniversary of the incident. Wang Dan was in all the U.S. media before and after the Tiananmen incident. He was famous for explaining why THE ELITIST STUDENT LEADERS DIDN’T WANT CHINESE WORKERS JOINING THEIR MOVEMENT. HE STATED “THE MOVEMENT IS NOT READY FOR WORKER PARTICIPATION because democracy must first be absorbed by the students and intellectuals before they can spread it to others.”ix
In China, the “pro-democracy” protest movement was led by privileged, well-connected students from elite universities who were explicitly calling for the replacement of socialism with capitalism. The leaders were particularly connected to the United States. Of course, thousands of other students who participated in the protests were in the Square because they had grievances against the government.

But the imperialist-connected leadership of the movement had an explicit plan to topple the government. Chai Ling, who was recognized as the top leader of the students, gave an interview to Western reporters on the eve of June 4 in which she acknowledged that the goal of the leadership was to lead the population in a struggle to topple the Communist Party of China, which she explained would only be possible if they could successfully provoke the government into violently attacking the demonstrations. That interview was aired in the film the “Gate of Heavenly Peace.” Chai Ling also explained why they couldn’t tell the rank and file student protestors about the leaders’ real plans.

The whole operation was financed, organized, managed and supplied by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), in cahoots with other Western embassies and their psyops teams, with the obvious goal of overthrowing the Communist Party of China (CPC). After the premier of China, Li Peng – imagine that – the second most powerful person in China, met with the protest leaders on national TV and radio, and was openly insulted by them, the CIA upped the ante to violence and killing, by providing their agents with gasoline for Molotov cocktails and AK-47s, to murder unarmed PLA soldiers. In 1989 Beijing, gasoline was only available in embassies, for government ministries and for the handful of the public who owned cars, petrol was strictly controlled with ration cards.

What Really Happened in Tiananmen Square 25 Years Ago
      By Brian Becker
      Global Research, June 04, 2014
      LiberationNews.org
      Url of this article:
      https://www.globalresearch.ca/what-really-happened-in-tiananmen-square-25-years-ago/5385528
China reported that about 300 people had died in clashes on June 4 and that many of the dead were soldiers of the Peoples Liberation Army. China insisted that there was no massacre of students in Tiananmen Square and in fact the soldiers cleared Tiananmen Square of demonstrators without any shooting.i

The Chinese government also asserted that unarmed soldiers who had entered Tiananmen Square in the two days prior to June 4 were set on fire and lynched with their corpses hung from buses. Other soldiers were incinerated when army vehicles were torched with soldiers unable to evacuate and many others were badly beaten by violent mob attacks.

These accounts were true and well documented. It would not be difficult to imagine how violently the Pentagon and U.S. law enforcement agencies would have reacted if the Occupy movement, for instance, had similarly set soldiers and police on fire, taken their weapons and lynched them when the government was attempting to clear them from public spaces.
What happened in China, what took the lives of government opponents and of soldiers on June 4, was not a massacre of peaceful students but a battle between PLA soldiers and armed detachments from the so-called pro-democracy movemen

  • We have poverty at both ends of the hierarchical monster.
The poverty of Love at the top, and the poverty of equality at the bottom.
”What do you think of Western civilisation Mr Ghandi?’
“It would be a good idea”

  • MONEY is a tool for creating poverty, not wealth. As Einstein has
said… ‘Compound Interest is the 8th Great Wonder of the World’.

  • Joe Biden will soon display how completely rudderless this country actually is. It is all going to be downhill into the toilet for us U.S. citizens. The gravy train is over!

  • I’m rather looking forward to dying actually. Everybody who’s been reporting on their own temporary deaths sounded very happy with it. Didn’t want to come back actually and had to be kicked up their ethereal asses by whatever force in charge out there to reintegrate their human envelopes.
When I was young, I read several books by a psychologist called Helen Wambach, who doesn’t seem to have achieved great fame but wrote incredible stuff about the experiences she encountered when she set out to prove there was no life after life through hypnosis and came out of it convinced there was. Here’s an audio she made in 1979. Got a sense of humor too which don’t hurt:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx4g8YjOOz0
In one of her books, she quotes a guy who said under hypnosis that in a previous life, in the XIXth century, he’d seen his father kill his mother and bury her in the garden of their house in Baltimore, where he’d never set foot in his present life. To cut a long story short, Helen Wambach had people dig where this guy had said this happened and they found the skeleton of a woman dating back to that period. Of course she could be lying but I can’t see why considering she set out to prove this kinda stuff was bull. And so from that moment, I’ve always looked forward to dying as a nice thing to do. Aldous Huxley, back in the days, even took an acid trip to go through the process.
Besides Alan Watts says there are three great questions in life: where do we come from, where are we going and who’s gonna do the washing up? At least dying gets rid of the third one, definitely the most difficult to find an answer to. Fear of death must be horrible though. It’s like FDR said: the only thing we have to fear is fear itself :o)

    • A man with a sense of humor on top of it all? You cant possibly be of this world!

  • Caitlin, what about the pseudointellectual establishment? The top capitalists stick mostly to what they know best, which is making money by fair means or foul. It’s the universities and the media people who study us, learn our weaknesses, and lead us by the nose.

  • I used to read articles other places and if they were good, I would look to see who wrote it. If it was really good, I knew it would be you. So many articles now read like you, I am less sure until I look. Congratulations on your win.

  • I call it the weakening. A deliberate physical and mental weakening of the general public, making them more controllable. Sit in a walmart parking lot for five minutes and watch the people pass by. Watch television for a half hour see the “slime oozing out of your TV set”.
Then there’s this from Einstein in 1949: ”
“Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of the smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society.
This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population.
Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.”
Or this from Edward Bernays: We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, and our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of…. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind.
    But wait! There’s more!

  • Capitalism has raised the standard of living of the most people in history. Like any system, it can be, and has been corrupted. It’s so successful, that China reluctantly took it partially in hand, and their economy almost immediately took off. Which is why they are the power they are now.
Any human endeavor that can be corrupted will be. Just like socialism was in the USSR and post war China, among many others. Just like capitalism has been for about 100 years in the UK and US, and much of the west. Sociopaths climb the ladder to power and wealth much easier than those of us with a conscience., regardless the system..

    • I see that you support the ruling class’s propaganda about capitalism lifting the masses. You are mistaken. The Soviet Union lifted millions of illiterate peasants out of the morass of ignorance in one generation before the rise of Stalin. The capitalist system only ever did the working class any good when the USSR was making capitalism look bad. It was conditional. Like the vaunted New Deal of Franklin Roosevelt, capitalist “reforms” are only temporary acts to keep revolution at bay. When the danger is over, the social programs are withdrawn. This has happened in the US in my lifetime, i.e., since the end of WWII. No new social programs benefitting the working class have been enacted since Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society in the 1960s. Since then, and particularly under Ronald Reagan, social programs have been slashed or eliminated completely. Get your head on straight.

      • So it’s just a matter of getting the correct sociopath in charge, and then socialism is perfect? Sorry to disappoint you, but there are no correct sociopaths. All of them are at least parasitic, if not predatory. They do not have any of the common human virtues, like conscience, so they easily rise to the top of whatever system is in place. There’s usually a honeymoon of sorts when a new system is installed, whether by effect or intentional propaganda. As soon as enough sociopaths gain power, the honeymoon is over.
My head is on perfectly straight. I perfectly understand that each and every government, regardless of the system, is founded on the notion that it has sole authority to kill you if you don’t go along. Such does not attract nice people.

        • Friend,
I think you are right about the nature of government, but you have a lot of self-confidence if you think your head is on perfectly straight. This current idea about the people at the top being all sociopaths or psychopaths sounds a bit cheap and easy to me. I think they are high priests of the current religion, which the duller ones among them really believe: this is no different from the condition of Europe at the last time when a religion achieved general acceptance, which was at about the time of the great Pope Alexander VI. The religion is Education, and the priests are teachers at all levels, media people, and the judiciary.
Before you make such sweeping statements and write off human freedom along with everything else, you should at least read Adam Smith. You could stand to read Ludwig von Mises as well, and Ayn Rand. (That should bring the haters out of the woodwork.)

        • and of course all what you know about stalin comes from the western (capitalist) propaganda machine

If you want to have socialism, you’ll get US sanctions, interventions, blockade, war. They will try to make you miserable, so you’ll regret the moment you chose socialism.
The people of Korea and Vietnam chose socialism, and the US attacked these countries and destroyed and killed millions, so even if they win, they will inherit a scorched earth and a destroyed economy. Russia was the first on the road to socialism; miraculously she made it, and she sacrificed herself in order to allow other nations to have socialism, too. Even non-socialist states like the US were forced to let their workers to get some benefits the workers of socialist states had.

American workers had miserable lives before Russia broke the way to socialism in 1917; they had it rather good while Russia was socialist; and they reverted to misery in 1991, when socialism was dismantled in Russia. All the achievements of Russian socialism – 8-hour working day, pensions, health care, protected tenancy, paid holidays, annual leave, no arbitrary sackings, – were adopted in Europe, and now are on their way out, because the rich guys won.
Naturally they lie about socialism because they do not want you to have it, or even to dream of it

The Russian (as well as the Western) public had been taught very different numbers. 40 million were killed by Stalin, said Roy Medvedev, a noted dissident; 80 million, said Antonov-Ovseenko; 100 million, said the grey cardinal of Perestroika, a close associate of Gorbachev, A. Yakovlev, and his opinion was especially important, for it was introduced as the ‘full truth and nothing but truth’ in the critical years 1987-1991. This number included “children that weren’t born, but could be born”, he added in sotto voce, learning probably from pro-life calculations of millions killed in abortion clinics. He was anyway overtaken by the assassinated opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, who counted (in 2003) 150 million of Stalin’s victims, quite a lot for a country of 200 million!

After that, 7 million sounds quite a pedestrian number. Real numbers are even lower. Two best and most reliable documents regarding numbers of imprisoned and killed in Stalin’s days are (1) The Attorney General et al report to Nikita Khrushchev in 1954, saying 2.5 million were imprisoned for all Soviet period, and 600 thousand sentenced to death, and (2) Dr Victor Zemskov painstaking research, well known for its thoroughness. Zemskov had studied activities of the state security bodies from 1921 to 1954, and he discovered that in this period 650 thousand persons have been sentenced to death (not all of them were actually executed) and 2.3 million were sentenced to prison terms. That’s for 33 difficult years of Stalin’s rule. That’s all, folks.

Zemskov also provided numbers for each year. In the terrible 1937, there were 1,2 million prisoners in GULAG. Compare it with the US: in 2013, – 2,2 million adults were incarcerated in US federal and state prisons, and county jails. About 1% of adults in the U.S. resident population, 0.8% for the USSR. Additionally, in the US 4,75 million were on probation or on parole, says Wikipedia. There were fewer prisoners in Gulag than in American penitentiary system. For more careful comparison see here.

So much for the claims about terrible bloodiness of Russian history and of the Bolshevik rule! In the Soviet days, Russian population had grown at steady average 0.60% per annum, double of that in the UK and France, and much more than in post-Soviet Russia. Russian Empire entered the WWI with 160 million population; the USSR had 210 million in 1959, impossible figures if you accept the multimillion figures of Stalin’s repression.

If it is so, why does “the standard narrative history taught within the West” uses those huge numbers? The main reason is fear of communism, a very reasonable and justifiable (for rich guys) fear of losing their millions and billions. It makes sense for them to spend some of their capital persuading you that Communism is bad for you, while it is only bad for them. They lied so much and so efficiently that they convinced everybody. Even a poor American or Englishman is afraid of Communism, for the Communists will take all he has including his wife and kids, and they will send him directly to GULAG.

      • The Soviet Union lifted millions of illiterate peasants out of the morass of ignorance in one generation DURING THE RULE OF Stalin.

    • In this opinion, it all boils down to sociopaths simply being genetically irredeemable mutants of the human species.

Sociopath is a term applied to people, therefore, corporations cannot, by their nature be sociopathic. Rather, it is the people of the Supreme Court – lackeys of the plutocratic system who with their innate sociopathic biases, arbitrarily designated corporations to have the equivalent status of people; to better serve the rapacious greed of the capitalists owning the corporations.

The greater the unbridled ‘individual’ corporate power, the greater the influence ‘they’ have on the so-called democratic political process.

Kinda like African-Americans, once upon a time, being regarded by the self-satisfied colonialist supremacist whites-only society, as only 3/5ths human, in order to conscienceless better be freely exploited for their labor, as chattel slaves, within the burgeoning – uplifting all the boats, while standing on the necks of others – capitalist system.

From this perspective, socialism and capitalism are merely caused by two sides of the same coin – innate human birth deficiencies.

Such a very glib, academically narrated, opinion.

  • The Deep State and Poverty: “In reality its worst atrocities are committed right out in the open [and, keeping the lowly masses impoverished has been a key element – centuries before it was called a Deep State].” Since before the Romans peak, “Poverty itself [was always] a weapon of the powerful.” Matthew 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. In the present, a “rich” “den of thieves” persists in maliciously premeditated mockery – but not only in “house[s] of prayer”; for now, their soullessly hoaxed ideology (as if a religion in itself) has been firmly planted (“that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect”) in media and coordinated governmental campaigns worldwide. https://seaclearly.com/2012/08/05/reflections-rich-passages-through-needles

  • >>>And it’s not that people are dumb; intelligence has little to do with it. Some of the most intelligent people on earth promote the same deluded worldviews as everyone else. The problem isn’t intellect, it’s manipulation

In my view, the problem is that humans have a cognitive, perceptual problem where we tend to believe what is convenient or easy rather than believing what is true. When “New Age” type people say that human consciousness must change for the world to be improved, this isn’t a vague, abstract matter better left to psychologists and philosophers. The people running the world are deeply delusional and a good number of them are sociopathic. If we had a friend who was an abusive alcoholic, we would bring the full weight and vocabulary of modern psychology to bear on the problem. We should do the same with politicians and corporate executives because they’re out of their minds. Intelligent yes, but ill suited to run the world.

    • I lay it at the feet of corporations. They are not people, and have none of the human virtues, such as compassion, sympathy, remorse, guilt, charity, etc. They are sociopathic by their very nature. They are a product of the state, and so are beholden to it. They have no rights the state does not grant them, and can just as easily take away. They are not born, and so have no inalienable rights. The only thing that concerns them is the bottom line of their spreadsheet. They are so like governments their is little distinction, if any.

      • Corporations OWN the government. Capitalism is like a virus or a cancer. Its only purpose is to increase itself at the expense of a host, and the host in our time is the entire planet earth. There is only one way to get rid of cancer or a virus and that is to destroy it.

        • Actually the bank cartel owns both. And all three are equally psychotic. Capitalism is an easy target because those who oppose it simply assume that without it all the evils of the world would disappear. They would not. World leadership would still be composed mostly of sociopaths, who do not possess normal human virtues like sympathy, charity, guilt, remorse, etc. It’s not that they discard these virtues, they cannot conceive of them. And so scheming how best to maintain their predation and parasitism in the absence of capitalism, which is why socialist systems usually end up looking much like capitalist systems.

  • The most powerful among the influencers of human behavior is the money. People know this but then ignore how and by whom it is created assuming it is the government. Actually we’ve had a privatized monetary system in this world for more than 300 years, England fell to the money power in 1694. Powerful financial interests control governments foreign and domestic public policy. The struggle for democracy against this private wealth has gone on for almost the entirety of civilization. One does not need to look far to see the influence of this private debt-money system, and the scarcity by design of it driving poverty, systematically concentrating wealth to the top. There are negative psychological consequences of this usurious system on society as well. It is a human created system at the base of the world economy and thus can be changed. Unfortunately as you note we have ideological idiots dicking around always helping the system keep us divided instead of getting united behind an International Movement for Monetary Reform. https://internationalmoneyreform.org/members/

    • I think this may be on the cusp of correcting itself. All the western currencies are on the brink of collapse. The dollar closer than most. Chaos will ensue for a while. Lets hope we don’t let the bank cartel rise again.

    • Marx told us all about this 175 years ago.

    • Having spent 40-odd years fighting usury myself it does make me happy to see others who understand the pure toxicity of usury and who are fighting on their own fronts. Well done, Howard and thanks for flagging up your link. I’ve had my doubts about Positive Money but now I see they’ve clarified their position and that’s just excellent news to see how the international front is developing. Thanks again!

  • Government passes moratorium on renters having to pay landlords. Banks still want their mortgage payments. Landlords default on properties. Banks repossess properties. Banks sell properties to wealthy investors cheap. Wealthy investors flip properties for a big profit. Anyone see a pattern here.

  • Nixon opened the door to China and tens of thousands of business’ rushed there to get cheap labor and increased profits. In the process China gleaned new technology and quickly upgraded their manufacturing processes. Suddenly, surprise, China is about to eclipse us in every way. As cornerstones for civilization, greed, selfishness, and paranoia aren’t working out so well. It seems so strange that evolution provided us with intellect that could carry us to the stars, while simultaneously, emotionally, assured our absolute destruction.

  • There has been clear evidence of numerous laboratory manipulations of the SARS-CoV-2 genome since late February 2020. Here is that wheel partly rediscovered.
The two pieces of evidence led Quay and Muller to conclude that the possibility that COVID-19 was engineered should be viewed as the leading theory.
“The presence of the double CGG sequence is strong evidence of gene splicing, and the absence of diversity in the public outbreak suggests gain-of-function acceleration,” they wrote. “The scientific evidence points to the conclusion that the virus was developed in a laboratory.”

”Vaccine Reluctant” are unlikely to want COVID vaccines going forward. (Yeah, that’s me, for sure!)
As of the May 18-23 survey, 60% of U.S. adults report they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, 4% have been partially vaccinated, 12% plan to be vaccinated and 24% do not plan to be vaccinated.
Among those not planning to be vaccinated, 78% say they are unlikely to reconsider their plans, including 51% who say they are “not likely at all” to change their mind and get vaccinated. That leaves one in five vaccine-reluctant adults open to reconsidering, with 2% saying they are very likely and 19% saying they are somewhat likely to change their mind and get vaccinated — equivalent to 5% of all U.S. adults.

Scientists from the Cleveland Clinic, USA, have recently evaluated the effectiveness of coronavirus disease 2019 COVID-19) vaccination among individuals with or without a history of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.
The study findings reveal that individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection do not get additional benefits from vaccination, indicating that COVID-19 vaccines should be prioritized to individuals without prior infection. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server.

    • Extensive circumstantial evidence about how this nasty virus could well have leaked from Fort Detrick Maryland in June 2019 and mysteriously killed a lot of folks at a retirement community. That would have given a short time to place blame elsewhere, but sending US military to the Wuhan Games in October, some of whom trained near Ft. Detrick, could have explained all the viral pneumonia that took out participants of the games, hospitalizing some Americans and others. They all stayed in this big hotel together.

      • The Greenspring Outbreak, and “Mysterious Vaping Disease” weren’t caused by “a leak”… There were spread deliberately as part of a test-run. That’s what’s known in some businesses as a “Cold Open”. The “Grand Opening” was at the World Military Games in Wuhan – held simultaneously with the Gates/WEF/Johns Hopkins/CIA “Event 201” ‘exercise’.

There were too many agendas waiting in the wings (“Dark Winter”, The Rockefeller Foundation’s LOCKSTEP plan, ID2020, “The Great Reset”/Fourth Industrial Revolution, 5G rollout, the hybrid warfare campaigns against China, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, etc.) that REQUIRED this BioWeapon – for its release to have been left to chance. And the timing and placement were perfect.

The way you can recognize an artillery barrage as an intentional and premeditated act – is in the timing and sequence of the fire. The same goes with Covert Operations. When you see one shot killing a squadron of ducks, chances are good that someone lined that shot up, and planned it out ahead of time. And skill with the tool is also a certainty.

        • In what way does 5G rollout require COVID-19?

          • It was not a popular idea… Nobody wants to be cooked, next to a tower. So the roll-out was implemented during the begining of the lockdown when publicly c meetings were all suspended.

5G is popular with with the ruling class – who’ll use it to surveil us, and supplant our labor with AI and robots… But it has no appreciable benefit for most consumers – for whom 4G/LTE is plenty fast. 5G is actually quite controversial with many. Firehouses in the US have refused their stations, being used to house Towers – for instance. The Shock Doctrine – was employed here.

            • 5G rollout began well before COVID-19.

              • In China, perhaps. Here in the US – the actual installation and proliferation of technology was begun, in earnest, under the cover of Lockdowns.

    • “the double CGG sequence is strong evidence”
The delta variant has an arginine in place of proline right next to the prior double CGG, and so far as I can make out, it’s also coded with CGG. Do you know if this is the case? (I’ve hunted around but haven’t been able to pin it down.)

      • If it is another CGG, it suggests the previous two are not such strong evidence of gene splicing, but could well have arisen naturally.

  • More very welcome lucidity from Caitlin Johnstone. It shows why so many teachers are so left – they often have the summer off to educate themselves. i like the quote by Churchill because it shows the man who led Britain through WWII was still also a murderous racist.

  • This is why ALL countries should be standing with CHINA – the BRI – CNG (the future of transport and Industry ) safe Nuclear Energy – Clean Water – Uncontaminated soil !

The annual WAR budget of the ZIO/US would alleviate world poverty virtually overnight !

This is the biggest step so far from a FEARLESS Russian leader !!

  • I’m very impressed Caitlin !

    Thucydides Trap fully exposed !

China have prepared well and will be more than equal to it !

ZIO/US is ‘Sparta’ and China/Russia are ‘Athens’ !

If the ZIO/US try anything – well – they will suffer a humiliating defeat from which they never recover !
