Listen to a reading of this article:

The war is not going well for Kyiv, and it would be unreasonable to expect that to change. As a vastly superior military force overwhelms the US client state, reality is in the process of crashing down hard in the face of western liberals who bought into the war propaganda that the brave, sexy comedian was leading an upset victory to kick Putin’s ass out of Ukraine.

Zelensky is now raging at NATO powers for refusing to intervene militarily against Russia, apparently having previously been given the impression that the US-centralized empire might risk its very existence defending its dear friends the Ukrainians from an invasion.

“Unfortunately, today there is a complete impression that it is time to give a funeral repast for something else: security guarantees and promises, determination of alliances, values that seem to be dead for someone,” Zelensky said Friday.

“All the people who will die starting from this day will also die because of you,” Ukraine’s president added. “Because of your weakness, because of your disunity.”

It must be hard, the process of learning that you were never actually a valued partner in western civilization’s fight for freedom and democracy. That you were always just one more sacrificial pawn on the imperial chessboard.

In a new article titled “U.S. and allies quietly prepare for a Ukrainian government-in-exile and a long insurgency“, The Washington Post reports that US officials anticipate Russia will reverse its early losses and successfully drive the Zelensky regime out of the country, after which “a long, bloody insurgency” is planned against the invaders backed by billions of dollars in US funding.

The US has a history of working to draw Moscow into gruelling, costly military quagmires which monopolize its military firepower while leaching it of blood and treasure. Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, author of US hegemonic manifesto The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives, openly bragged about having lured Russia into its own Vietnam fighting the US-backed mujahideen in Afghanistan for a decade.

Just two years ago then-US Special Representative for Syria engagement said during a video event hosted by the Hudson Institute that his job was to make Syria “a quagmire for the Russians”.

So this isn’t something new or out of the blue, and what it means is that all the self-righteous posturing by the western political/media class about the need to pour weapons into Ukraine is not really about saving Ukrainian lives (only negotiating a ceasefire can do that), but about seizing this golden opportunity to hurt Russia’s geostrategic interests as much as possible. Ukraine on its own is powerless to stop Russia from taking Kyiv no matter how many weapons are sent, but those weapons can be used to fight a “long, bloody insurgency” after that happens which costs many more lives, keeps Moscow militarily preoccupied and hemorrhaging money, and ultimately hurts Putin’s popularity at home.

This by itself would do a great deal to advance US interests, but on top of that you’ve got the even greater benefit of manufacturing international consent for unprecedented acts of economic warfare against the entire nation of Russia, as well as killing Nord Stream 2 and rallying immense support for NATO and the imperial military/intelligence machine. The western world is now a united front against the Sauron-like menace of Vladimir Putin in much the same way it united against the threat of global terrorism after 9/11, and we’re probably only seeing the beginnings of the agendas this will be used to roll out.

We can expect these agendas to be used in an attempt to impoverish, undermine, agitate, and ultimately collapse and balkanize Russia, as the CIA and Washington swamp monsters have wanted to do since the fall of the Soviet Union. This would leave China standing alone without its nuclear superpower guard bear and much more vulnerable to imperial operations geared toward thwarting the emergence of a true multipolar world, a goal US imperialists have had in writing for three decades.

That’s a whole lot of potential benefit to the US empire just for losing Ukraine. Kind of like sacrificing a pawn to get the queen in chess.

I think a big part of why I and others wrongly underestimated the likelihood of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine was that the cost-to-benefit math never made sense; on paper Moscow stands so much more to lose by this action in the long term than it stood to gain. There was also a bit of an assumption that the empire would rather Russia not take Ukraine, preferring to gradually encroach with NATO salami slicing tactics than give up a useful client state on Russia’s border, and would adjust its actions accordingly.

But chess is all about out-maneuvering your opponent to leave them nothing but bad options to choose from, and in the end leaving the king with no safe moves. The drivers of empire would have known that, as the late Justin Raimondo explained all the way back in 2014 for Antiwar, Putin could not afford to lose Ukraine to the west without losing crucial support in Russia. Combine that with increased attacks on Donbas separatists and the west’s adamant refusal to make even the most meaningless concessions like guaranteeing they wouldn’t add a nation to NATO who they had no intention of adding anyway, and you can understand if not support Putin’s drastic course of action.

https://twitter.com/JoshC0301/status/1499933302765015044?s=20&t=GzAUQ-AHWB2kJ_Qv7PD2VQ

No meaningful diplomatic effort is being made by Washington to end the violence. Ukrainian lives are being spent like pennies to facilitate the agenda of US planetary domination by whipping up international support for the strangulation of Russia while pouring vast fortunes into the military-industrial complex rather than taking even the tiniest step toward de-escalation, diplomacy and detente.

And it’s entirely possible that this was all planned years in advance.

Is it a coincidence that before this started we were bombarded with shrieking anti-Russia narratives for five years, all of which were initiated by secretive and unaccountable intelligence agencies and none of which have ever been substantiated with hard evidence? The discredited conspiracy theories that there was a Kremlin asset in the Oval Office had nothing to do with Ukraine. Neither did the plot holeriddled and still completely unproven claim that Russian hackers intervened in the US election, or the baseless claim that St Petersburg trolls did the same. Neither did the claim that Russia was paying Taliban-linked fighters to kill US troops in Afghanistan, which was eventually walked back by the same intelligence cartel that made it.

All these hysterical anti-Russia narratives were shoved in everyone’s face day after day, year after year, with nothing really uniting them apart from the fact that they drove up general anxiety about Russia and that they were initiated by the US intelligence cartel. Even the empty Ukrainegate scandal which led to Trump’s unsuccessful impeachment was initiated by a CIA officer who just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

And while all those shrill narratives about a Putin puppet serving as America’s commander-in-chief were being aggressively hammered into public consciousness, Trump’s actual policies toward Moscow were extremely hawkish and aggressive. Beneath the narratives about Kremlin servitude, a new cold war was being dangerously escalated.

And now, lubricated years in advance by these mass-scale anti-Russia narratives, I’ve got western liberals in my social media notifications with blue and yellow profile pictures calling me a Russian propagandist and a Kremlin shill all day, every day. Because of that mass-scale propaganda campaign, we were paced to this point all the way from where we were at a few years ago when Obama was mocking Mitt Romney for his then-outlandish Russia hawkishness.

So we’re looking at increasingly aggressive confrontations between the US power alliance and the China-Russia bloc for the foreseeable future in a struggle which has already erupted in hot war and could easily get infinitely worse. All because a few manipulators in high places convinced the US establishment that global unipolar domination would be a good thing. Many of these unipolarist empire architects were involved in the murderous and influential Project for a New American Century (PNAC), whose founding members are now providing expert punditry on what should be done about the war in Ukraine.

Michael Parenti saw this all coming long ago:

The PNAC plan envisions a strategic confrontation with China, and a still greater permanent military presence in every corner of the world. The objective is not just power for its own sake but power to control the world’s natural resources and markets, power to privatize and deregulate the economies of every nation in the world, and power to hoist upon the backs of peoples everywhere — including North America — the blessings of an untrammeled global “free market.” The end goal is to ensure not merely the supremacy of global capitalism as such, but the supremacy of American global capitalism by preventing the emergence of any other potentially competing superpower.

We should not have to live this way. We should not have to see the horrors of war inflicted upon humanity with the risk of total nuclear annihilation hanging over our heads every minute of every day, all for some dopey grand chessboard maneuverings of a few sociopaths who can’t just let humanity be.

There is no good reason why nations cannot simply collaborate with each other for everyone’s benefit. There is no good reason we should accept these omnicidal games of planetary conquest as inevitable, normal, or fine. If our minds weren’t so pervasively locked down by mass-scale psychological manipulation, there is no way we would stand for this madness.

I don’t know if the US will succeed in this grand strategic confrontation to prevent the rise of a multipolar world. From where I’m sitting it depends on which side of the conflict has more tricks up their sleeve, and that could easily be the emerging China-centralized alliance of which Russia is a key player. But I do think it’s far too early for anyone to declare that the US-led world order is over and a true multipolar world has solidified.

There are many moves on the chessboard still to be played.

  1. The playbook for undermining/weakening the Russian Federation was ” The Grand Chessboard” by the Russo-phobic Polack, Zbignew Brezinski. He suggests that a: Russia wants to have an empire. B: They need Ukraine to reinstate this “empire”. That’s why the Obama Regime, (Hillary, Victoria et al) overthrew the government of Ukraine in 2014….and continued expanding US control of this staging area for an eventual attack against Russia proper. Putin, a pretty smart cookie understands/understood this better tan anyone and so, kicked off the major hostilities on his own schedule, rather than wait & watch while the US strangles his infant nation in its’ crib. He may well believe that the “Brezinski Doctine” is an existential threat to his country.

  2. Not sure if you’re aware but someone has been taking articles from several authors and posting them on a blog without proper attribution.

    Including this one from you:

    https://annanimuss.wordpress.com/2022/03/08/04-605/

  3. I always wander why citizens from western world strongly believe that their home country is a genuine democracy. It isn’t. If you have some doubts, check your country’s Constitution. N most cases, you’ll sumble uppon sometuing like “power is granted through elections” and “power is divided into 3 independent stages – juridical, legislative and executive”. In how many countries in this world juridical power (i. e. Judges in courts) are elected? If in your particular country even a single judge is named by President, Parliament, etc – your country is NOT a democracy as it has to be. It is a mere police country and democracy in it is allowed as far as it is in line with needs of the police state. Do you wander what a police state means? Look upon US. Nazy is their next neighboor.

  4. The next imperial move will involve Turkey. The Montreux regulated sea traits in Turkey are Russia ‘s lifeline. So up next will be stepping up provocation of Turkey. The anti-Turkish narrative has intensified and become more and more aggressive: https://www.realcleardefense.com/articles/2021/06/19/how_the_f-35_has_reshaped_the_strategic_balance_in_europe_782149.html

“However, the front forming in Eastern Europe is not the only place where Russian troops are active and where conflict might break out. The Mediterranean Sea is another potential theater for future military action, given Russia’s access to its waters and Putin’s relatively close relationship with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the autocratic president of Turkey.

Erdogan’s dealings with Russia are no secret. Turkey is in possession of Russian S-400 surface-to-air missiles, a 2017 purchase that resulted in Turkey’s expulsion from the F-35 consortium. Erdogan has also shown no compunction about taking military action against U.S. allies in the region, such as the Kurds, nor about supporting extremist factions that he views as protecting Turkish interests. During the Trump years, the impunity of Erdogan’s behavior toward allies began to escalate, culminating in threats to close the Incirlik airbase, home to 50 U.S. tactical nuclear warheads, in response to the possibility of sanctions from Washington.

Turkey has also recently come into conflict with Greece over oil exploration in the waters just off Cyprus, a disputed territory between them that has an unofficial Turkish enclave. Partly because of Ankara’s purchase of the S-400, Greece was chosen to receive F-35s that would have originally been destined for Turkey, a decision that incensed Ankara.

Russian military action, potentially in conjunction with Turkey, could also be taken around the Black Sea, immediately endangering NATO forces in Romania and in Greece. Italy has already drawn attention to the presence of Russian naval ships in the Mediterranean that may be prepared to put military support behind Turkish interests.”

  5. My god this article is full of self-righteous dreck. Let’s point out the big parts where you are factually wrong:

1: Salami-Slicing? Really? With a VOLUNTARY defence force? Mind explaining what Russia was doing in Crimea and Donbas? “Peaceful Terrorist Resolution”? I mean, it’s the only explanation that makes sense according you you in this Russian-supporting trash.

2: Russia WOULD. NOT. TALK. TO. UKRAINE. All this “But NATO!!” hand-wringing you’re doing is just a smokescreen to cover up the FACT that Russia refused to even bother negotiating with Ukraine. As in the ACTUAL COUNTRY that had the authority to not enter NATO. In short: They literally DID NOT see Ukraine was worthy of self-determination! How the fuck do you have the GALL to call yourself anti-imperialist when you’re literally supporting the Imperialist Actions of Russia?!

3: You claim Ukraine is this weak puppet of the US/West, incapable of making it’s own decisions. So that means that they SHOULD be conquered and controlled by Russia instead? Do you even know what an Imperialist is? Let alone what an Anti-Imperialist is? Because for someone who claims to be the latter, you’re not even close to being one.

In short: You’re just a blatant mouthpiece for Putin and his insanity. And this article is nothing but blatant apologia.

  6. All through history small nations led by small ambitious men have furnished ideal sacrificial pawns for great power rivals. Handing out military weapons to civilians, Ze is willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian woman and child. Demanding a no-fly zone, Ze is willing to fight Russia to the last American, every bit as gung-ho as the US is to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian. Guess which one is more likely to get his wish first.
    *
The Russian advance is moving according to plan. Ukraine’s army ceased to exist as a coherent fighting force the first day. Its command centers and senior officers were the first Russian objectives, then its air defenses, and then its air force and navy, all quickly targeted and destroyed. We have been seeing uncoordinated rearguard actions that only prolong the nation’s agony. Reliable accounts have the neo-Nazi militias off the grid altogether, no longer under Kiev’s control, using civilians as human shields, attacking refugees in humanitarian corridors even as the Russian noose tightens around them. Russian forces are taking care to minimize civilian casualties and essential infrastructure losses; Ukrainians are their cousins and often their brothers, not, say, subhuman Iraqi ragheads and Hadjis to be mercilessly slaughtered by racially superior stormtroopers.
    *
Ukraine may prove to be the final battle in the insane Hundred Years War with Russia. Putin and Xi are not fools. They know what the stakes are, and that the locus of power is shifting from the bankrupt west. Having escaped justice so long our leadership suffer from the illusion they are not subject to the law of unintended consequences. Ancient Greeks told of a king who was jealous of his neighbors prosperity and sought an Oracle’s advice on warring against him. The Oracle replied “If you go to war, you will destroy a great empire.” Encouraged, the king did so – but the empire he lost was his own.

  7. Great article Caitlin. I’d love to hear your views on why Putin took the bait? Surely China would have said, leave those children alone, they are not nice to play with. Did he snap? His ego too big? I am perplexed, as this is not in his long term interests!

    1. US / NATO know that Poland, Finland and Ukraine are to be handled extra carefully to avoid triggering Putin. Yet for years they have taunting Russia by focusing attention especially on these countries which are too close to Russia’s main ports. Ports essential if Russia is to have anything resembling an independent economy.

On Feb 11, while Russia was holding a major live-ammunition naval exercise that blocked Ukraine’s coastline for 6 days, Finland signed a deal…
      https://t.co/4TOZdEkpyV
That was the last deliberate drop
That’s what triggered Putin to invade Ukraine. Because he has massive military buildup there and he knows nobody would come to its rescue. That is why Finland’s president was visiting Biden in the oval officelast week for an eery televised handshake

  8. Cairlin, I agree with most of what you write, but I don’t understand why Russia?

Their economy isn’t even in the top 10 in the world. It’s smaller than Italy’s, or Canada’s.

Russia is no super power. It’s no threat to the US.

US politicians just need a boogeyman to protect the electorate from?

    Thanks.

they are maybe the second most powerful country as far as wmd’s. so that is a brake in imperial ambitions. they also have a lot of natural resources. and once Russia goes, the US can concentrate on China.

    2. Sorry, Scott, but measuring everything using GDP is not exactly the right way. US GDP is skyscrapping but they are producing only derivatives. The real wealth of the nation is measured in physical goods they produce. And range it based on country inhanitants needs. On this track Russia is way ahead Italy, ahead of US and ahead of EU as a whole. The true key here is – how long a given country economy will survive in a Autarky. They will survive. Will aurvivie it the “official” western world – i have my reqsonable doubts in it

Considering the sorry state of affairs already faced by the American and European economies, I doubt they’ll be able to gain anything from whatever might happen to Russia.

Maybe China, Russia and Iran should learn from the West and copy what the West does by sowing seeds of discord among the different demographics found in Western countries — native vs white Americans, Scotland vs the British etc. Engage in relentless propaganda to fuel the discord (Scots good, British rotten) and sell weapons to one side in support of their ‘rights’. Cherry-pick all those unhappy occasions in which those on the side you support had been wronged by those from the other side, then inflate them out of proportion and tell the world about them. That way conflict and bloodshed will then break out in the Western world and plague it for decades. Tit for tat.

  10. The anti-Russian narrative is being pushed by the Anglo American establishment because they want to control Russia’s vast natural resources and get filthy rich.

Yeltsin went along with the plan until he left office. Putin came in and ended it.

That was when the demonization of Putin and Russia began.

The Anglo American establishment thinks it can remove Mr. Putin and install someone who will let them get control of Russia’s resources and turn Russia into a sniveling dependent vassal state.

The establishment is using Ukraine by exploiting and stirring up decades, if not centuries, of ethnic divisions and turning that against Russia in a vain hope of regime change in Russia. The establishment cares not a wit about Ukraine or her people.

Western sanctions will drive Russia and China together. This will result in a multi-polar world and the defenestration of the American dollar as the reserve currency of the world.

Innovation, wealth, and people will migrate to the East.

The West abandoned its moral moorings long ago. It will become the third world. Its people and towns have been hollowed out by financialization, central banking, wars, and secularism.

  11. Profound, very far reaching, with a conclusion that is a pearl of wisdom amid all the commentaries.
    Thank you Caitlin Johnstone.

  12. Behind every international conflict manufactured by the US is its Forever-wars-based economy. Dig deep into any regime change in any country and one finds it’s a campaign to promote the interests of weapon manufacturers in the US. Be it Afghanistan, Iraq or Libya, the ruling good Samaritans have the same objective. Peace in the world is not in their dictionary.

  13. ““Unfortunately, today there is a complete impression that it is time to give a funeral repast for something else: security guarantees and promises, determination of alliances, values that seem be dead for someone,” Zelensky said Friday.”

Hopefully all other 2nd & 3rd world countries learn from this, that the West’s guarantees are not worth the paper they are printed on. Keep the Americans and their influences out of your country.

Having the West pour billions of dollars into Ukraine since 2014 hasn’t done much for the standard of living of the locals. I’d say they got a bad deal there, maybe there are holes in the bottom of the bucket made of politicians, and the money poured out just as fast.

    1. Zelensky did for America what no other American administration have achieved – Worldwide consent for endless wars. He played his part. Now he is disposable. Probably CIA will kill him and they will blame Russia.
I haven’t used yet facial masks, plastic gloves, safety goggles but I’m doing it now to look from afar MSM articles. It’s an. endless orchestrated wave of lies.

  14. I think this attempt to maintain a unipolar world dominated by the US will backfire.
Everything going on now is driving Russia and China closer together, and China will use this to its advantage by taking a much larger share of the global trade. It already has its own SWIFT replacement, which is fully functional and can therefore process all of Russia’s trade if necessary.
Also Russia is still in a position where it can cut off all supplies of energy, wheat, and other major exports to Western countries, and cause a lot of economic pain. It hasn’t done so yet.

  15. This began with Obama’s pivot to Asia. First we get rid of Russia so we can have a full run at China is the thinking. But they get everything wrong and it all turns to shit as has been shown time after time. Will Russia get trapped in Ukraine by an insurgency? No – they’ll just wreck it and leave. Will China get taken by surprise when it’s their turn? No – they can see what’s happening now so they’ll be well ahead of nefarious Western plans. Can Russia be starved of essential goods and services because of sanctions? No – because China makes and sells everything plus more of everything they would ever need. Will Europe grow stronger from all of this? No – they’re just guaranteed themselves perpetual decline. And why is Germany remilitarising? Because they have to prepare to fight the Americans. Future German prosperity depends on them expelling the US from Germany and removing the US from having any ability to influence German policy. Either that or just give up now.

    1. Well said that man!

      1. Germany’s hands are tied by the perspective of getting an anti-Semitic media campaign hurled their way if they don’t toe the line, which is not good for business, especially in the countries where they export their expensive high added value goods. The US has got them by the balls with that – while happily supporting, training and financing raving murderous nazis in Ukraine, denying their existence and calling Putin a madman for mentioning it. Did you say “empire of lies”? :o)

  16. Looking for crude oil

White House – Our. long anticipated strategy to sit Russia in the corner is coming out perfectly. I would like to give a special thanks to our CIA-NSA facilitators for such hard work in coordination. with our brave MSM fighting the whole world as one to keep the tabs and lights favoring our allies.
    CIA – Thank you sir.
NSA – Don’t mention it, sir, but we still in need of some crude oil. We cannot afford a new internal insurgence right after our tough covid policies to keep everyone in a short leash.
MSM – True. Not by Ukraine war we. would be under hot water coming from every corner of our country.
White House – Don’t worry. The president already has a solution for crude oil.
Everyone – Wow!!! What a nice move!!! Color us interested!
White House – Our secret weapon is Venezuelan crude oil.
CIA – After 30 years of economic. sanctions, many oil tankers seized, 5 failed coupe e’tat and countless hired guns to kill from Chavez to Maduro, are they not holding any grudges against us?
MSM – Don’t forget we still have one Venezuelan president vouched by the UN to rule in exile.
CIA. – Which turns out it didn’t work as planned.
White House – The president has everything under control. We will have them.
NSA – Will we or we have them? because there is a huge difference between past, present and future.
White House – Nothing to worry about. Our president is very cautious with details and his memory is very sharp.
MSM – I’m sorry, I don’t wanna be the buzz killer here. but in the SOTU our President instead of saying people of Ukraine he said Iranian people. It does not sound. solid, forgive me.
White House – We will make it. We can. We will. Build Back Better!
    Everyone – Huh?

  17. Gee, things are pretty bad, aren’t they. Maybe we should revolt, right?

But what, exactly, does the word “revolution” mean? Is there universal agreement on what the word “revolution” means? If there is, please tell me precisely HOW people “revolt”? What would the BEHAVIOR of “revolting” be? Would We, the Woke, We Who Already Understand What’s Going On be picking up guns and running down the streets with our hair on fire, each of us yelling in perfect synchronicity with the collective “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more!”? Would We, the Woke, We Who Already Understand What’s Going On be guillotining some VIPs on the White House lawn? Would We, the Woke, We Who Already Understand What’s Going On be marching hand in hand down Penn. Ave. demand, demand, demanding that the Elite behave better, or else? (“or else” just exactly WHAT?!)

Here’s what you, me, We, the Woke, We Who Already Understand What’s Going On are eventually going to HAVE TO DO because

there. is. no. other. way. to remove our warmongerng, false-narrative-creating oppressors’ 536 Rs and Ds from federal elected positions of power. (If you know of another way, please spell it out, right here, right now and, BTW, reading another hundred really great books that tell you who’s holding the reins of power in one hand and your balls in the other, wishing upon a star, dream, dream, dreaming; hoping and praying and deep, deep, deep self-study and drug-trips are not going to do that job.)

THIS is how you “revolt”. If you do not want More Of The Same that you’ve gotten after every election in the past, do not vote for another R or D, ever, no matter what an R or D promises! Jimmy Dore explains EXACTLY why. If you DO want More Of The Same, when you walk into the voting booth, just vote for another R or D, makes no difference which. (The latter is what the tens of millions of direct and indirect employees of, and the investors in, the MIC are going to do. They’re going to vote for No. 1 and they don’t give a shit if doing that ultimately leads to WWIII; they know precisely what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. )

    1. Never vote for the incumbent, and R&D has blown enough dough to come with a solution. On a related note concerning uncleG’s playhouse:

Last night KimReynolds [Gov] gave a speech to the rabble at the state house, which was televised to any of the victims/hostages who wanted to watch it. There was a rerun of QuantumLeap that I’ve watched several times, so I was flipping back & forth between the channels when I saw something ridiculous.

As she was offering what the priorities would be for the next year, hanging behind her in the chamber was a giant photo of the figurehead for TeamBrandon. Some time, I suspect before RearCommanderCoiffureWhiffer ascended to co-president, someone of influence decided to treat the state legislative chamber as a federal office-what could be considered a subsidiary of DC.

I include myself in this, primarily to mitigate the recognized risk and subtle seduction-we are all institutionalized; that is what government has done to our minds, to paraphrase a title you almost certainly know.

      1. Got downvoted to -22 in the subreddit r collapse yesterday, for linking to Mr. Dore. He – and Max? or was it Aaron? can’t remember, it was that long ago – were discussing the usual stuff. There are elements in the Ukraine that enoy burning humans alive if they are deemed to be others.
Very powerful elements it seems, according to the mountains of evidence provided.
That touched a nerve, is what I call it, when you get mass downvoted. That last time I broke -20 was when I made the wild and wacky claim that Ivermectin is a drug that has been proscribed to humans 4 billion times, and is undergoing clinical trails as potential therapeutic for Covid.
Below it, as I tried to mount a defense of my “postion,” I foolishly claimed that Vitamin D was a vitamin, and that broke the -10 barrier pretty quick.

In recent days, in what is surely a coordinated action by NATO and European authorities acting hand in glove, Russian news broadcasters have been taken off servers in Europe and effectively made inaccessible to the entire European public. Once Ukraine is part of Nato the Russians will have to leave, perhaps America could offer to the Russians it would then leave Nato, – or as a condition to Russia, – you leave Ukraine, we’ll leave Nato.

    1. Sorry, but you’re dreaming. The US/NATO wants a prolonged war in the Ukraine, it wants to hurt the Russians, but it doesn’t want a chaotic and unstable country like Ukraine as a NATO member.
Also, and more importantly it knows that if Ukraine did become a NATO member, and NATO moved troops and nuclear weapons in, then it would provoke a response from Russia that would likely lead to a nuclear war.
Even the US isn’t that stupid!

it could offer to leave Ukraine along with NATO. the whole problem is the US and NATO trying to use Ukraine as a puppet against Russia, so no, making Ukraine part of NATO is likely to kick off a world war. not a good solution.

  19. “This noxious development, unless fully defanged and neutralised, could yet tear the very fabric of Western society, unleashing the dystopia of internalised totalitarianism, wherein the public-private boundaries disappear and citizens — even informed ones — can hardly distinguish between planted or socially-reinforced information and their own views. In such a world, the only choice is to virtue signal and self-censor.”

Everything you said could come to pass IF the US could get their financial house in order which they cannot. The days of the dollar hegemony are numbered and with it the global dreams of the US. This is simply the first move in the process. Once China more fully joins in to pressure the dollar, things will move more rapidly. A bloc is in its infancy which will no longer use dollars. This bloc of nations will grow over time.

    1. Yes, you’re right. The US has successfully shot itself in the foot, so to speak. In its hysteria, it has not thought through the implications and likely effect of the sanctions. China is already positioning itself to take advantage of the situation.

Caitlin, the email that was sent to me containing this article suddenly disappeared from my inbox before I had a chance to read it. Weird, that’s never happened before…but I was able to access it here on your website. Not knowing any of this, my husband just came in and said your email had somehow disappeared from his inbox before he read it. Very creepy, but it’s no wonder, it’s a powerful, phenomenal article! Has this happened to anyone else?

  25. Truer words have never been spoken. A sucker is born every minute and Zelensky was one of them. I feel sorry for the guy actually. To be totally honest, I feel sorry for the whole country. One of the links in your text about “sex symbol” Zelensky has an embedded tweet saying “A Jewish Ukrainian family had four brothers. Three were murdered by the Nazis. Only one survived. His grandson is President Zelensky.”
Good for him! And so he hates the Nazis, right?
Nope. Why? Because this is Ukraine. So fasten your seatbelt for a ride on history’s helter-skelter. The country was once home to the Ostrogoths, a branch of the Goths who came from Sweden BCE and settled down there for a few centuries before some of them established a kingdom in Italy in the Vth century CE while others stayed behind.
The Ukronazis claim those as their glorious ancestors (the “Germanic race of Scandinavia”) and promote Hitler’s view that the Slavs and the Jews are Untermenschen.
In the VIIIth century, another Swedish tribe (then called Vikings or Varangians) came down the river routes between the Baltic and the Black and Caspian seas, founded Kiev and established a multiethnic society (Slavic, Finnic, Baltic) in the area. They came to be known as Rus’ (which is related to the word “Sweden” in Finnic among other proposed etymologies) and are considered paleo-Slav Russians.
A third ingredient came from the Central Asian steppes, the Khazars. Wikipedia: “In the eighth and ninth centuries, the south branches of East Slavic tribes had to pay tribute to the Khazars, a Turkic-speaking people who adopted Judaism in the late eighth or ninth century and lived in the southern Volga and Caucasus regions”.
The Khazars and the Kievan Rus’ eventually clashed, the latter won and the Khazars disappeared from history. Some say that they became the Ashkenazi but this is now considered anti-Semitic. Probably because it suggests they have no ethnic link with God’s chosen people, the Hebrews, since they originated in Turkestan – they don’t look Semitic either, most of them, which doesn’t help…
Anyway this explains why the Ukrainian oligarchs are now Orthodox Slavs, Jews and even a practicing Sunni Muslim, Rinat Akhmetov, blond with blue eyes in spite of being an ethnic Volga Tatar. It is ethnically complicated…
None of this is clearly explained anywhere but it is rather important in order to understand the whole shebang. The Jews and the Nazis have now entered into an unnatural alliance against the Slav Russians under the aegis of Mammon. Zelensky is the creature of Igor Kolomoysky, a businessman, president of the United Jewish Community of Ukraine and also main sponsor of… the Nato-trained overtly nazi Azov Battalion that he also uses as a personal guard. What?
    Only in Ukraine…
As Western media “hero” Zelensky has apparently taken refuge in Warsaw’s US embassy from where he courageously incites Ukrainian civilians to fight, you will find details about the above background in this excellent article by Alexander Rubinstein and Max Blumenthal:
    https://www.mintpressnews.com/ukraine-jewish-president-zelensky-made-peace-neo-nazi-paramilitaries/279862/?
The corporate media’s gaslighting about all this is staggering!

  26. If the ZIO/US sanctions India for buying the S400s from Russia l – India ( which has been the last holdout because of ZIO/US pressure ) will join the BRI !

The thing is – INDIA have not bought the S400s for NOTHING – they have bought them because they understand the ‘ consequences ‘ of joining the BRI !

Should be one of the final nails in Jacob Rothschilds coffin !

  27. Low wage refugees heading into Western Europe to escape war, corruption and poverty? Where have we seen that before? Oh, that’s right… in Western Europe even recently. I must suppose that the low wage refugees heading north into the USA to escape drug wars, poverty and corruption amounts to a somewhat parallel situation, both following a common, status quo approved agenda.

  28. When Russia went into Syria in 2015 and have since turned 400 thousand ZIO/US/NATO/ ISIA terrorists into fertilizer – well – It was the beginning of the end for the ZIO/US/NATO militaries !

If you think the Taliban retook Kabul in ONE week – bloodlessly and unopposed after 20 years of occupation – well – you have rocks in your head !

The ZIO/USNATO militaries – financed by the Rothschilds to plunder the worlds resources are FINISHED !

Going up against Russia is tantamount to going up against Mike Tyson in his prime – you just wouldn’t do it – and they won’t !

ZIO/US/NATO knows what Russia did to them in Syria and Afghanistan using electronic weapons that can disable anything the ZIO/US/NATO has – the proles are not privvy to that knowledge !

When Russia devastated ISIS in Syria while all the ZIO/US/NATO could do was watch – the world changed forever !

ZIO/US/NATO ‘ know ‘ they would be humiliated if they they took on Russia and THAT is a greater deterrent than all the NUKES on the planet !

You see China is the ‘ money ‘ and Russia is the ‘muscle ‘ – they are ‘clearing ‘ the BELT Road !

How will this struggle for influence in the area of the former USSR end? In the Book of Daniel we read: “At the appointed time [the king of the north] will return back [Russian troops will return to where they were previously stationed. It also means the big crisis, plus the break-up of the EU and NATO], and will enter into the south [this will be the beginning of the WW3], but it will not be as the former [Georgia – 2008] or as the latter [Ukraine. Now, too, there will be no global nuclear war. It will happen next time], for the dwellers of coastlands of Kittim [the distant West] will come against him, and (he) will broke down [mentally], and will go back.” (11:29, 30a) This time it will be a world war not only by name. “The great power sword” will also be used. (Revelation 6:4) Jesus characterized him in this way: “A frightening things both and extraordinary from sky powerful will be.” (Luke 21:11) For that reason there will be significant tremors along the length and breadth of the regions [of strategic importance] and famines, and pestilences. Some ancient manuscripts contain the words “and frosts”. The Aramaic Peshitta: “and will be great frosts”. (Luke 21:11) We call this today “nuclear winter”. In Mark 13:8 there are also words of Jesus: “and disorders” (in the sense of confusion and chaos). The Aramaic Peshitta: “and confusion” (on the state of public order). This extremely detailed sign fits only one war. Jesus stated: “All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” (Matthew 24:8)

      1. So that’s what it was…

  30. Kiev has an average working wage of $918 / month, the highest average wage of any city in Ukraine. Russian salaries average $1402 / month. A simple comparison hides many details, but what do Ukrainians have to fight for? At the end of the day, how well has the Ukrainian worker done?

Which oligarch is worth dying for. That could be a question, but a trick question since no oligarch is worth dying for. Forced to choose, I’d choose an oligarch that lets me earn $1400 a month. My choice in actually would be not to make the choice. I am a pacifist. Regarding military activities, I say no.

  33. It’s not a war, Caitlin; and it’s not an invasion. It’s what Putin said it was going to be: an incursion to stop the relentless attacks on Lugansk and Donetsk and to punish and destroy the Nazi outfits–Azov and Right Sektor–who have been doing the shelling and killing the largely Russian population.

In a war or invasion Russia could flatten and burn down the entire country in 24 hours. Wake up to this. It’s U.S. propaganda to claim it’s a war.

    1. almost every tass, rt or sputnik article i’ve read mentions that the russians will not occupy ukraine (only eliminate the military hardware, and take out the nazis). the americans will try to force them to stay there. (imo, the ukrainian civilians are never going to return: they wanted to be part of europe, why would they return to ukraine?).

The war is anything but organic. Instead, it’s the crescendo of the NWO dialectic as it will manifest gargantuan systemic problems demanding systemic foundational solutions.

The war will destroy supply chains even further than they already are, wreaking absolute havoc. Currencies – already on their last legs – will be deliberately hyper-inflated away all over the globe in order to pay for it. Etc.

Everyone will be demanding something be done and the pre-planned solutions will be one-world-government and CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies). These CBDCs will link with your social credit score and carbon output in order to determine your eligibility – in real time – to participate or not participate in the economy.

Red vs blue, east vs west, these dichotomies exploit people’s innate tribal nature – dividing and conquering them – making them easy to control with simple thoughts about “the enemy” who isn’t really their enemy – while blinding them to the actual enemy behind the curtain pulling the puppet strings. If we could collectively recognize this for what it is the NWO wouldn’t stand a chance.

The globalists now have the technology to do away with the left versus right control system, and so they’re angling in for full control at an individual level – from the inside out. We have to be aware of this in order to prevent it from happening.

Here is how far they’ve brought us, and where they want to take us:

    https://tritorch.com/boiling

As a solution we need to get working on a parallel economy and means of exchange yesterday. But since yesterday is behind us—let’s get to work on it today instead. Right now, actually.

It is time we stopped using our enemy’s control system and built our own version instead – free from anyone’s control.

I used to think Orwell’s 1984 was supposed to be fiction, but it ended up being a warning of what was being ‘think tanked’, and also a basic instruction manual for the NWO. The WEST and the EAST division just as Orwell predicted. China was dragging its peasants out of the dark ages rapidly, the WEST wants to slow that process down for its peasants, so it has to make China the enemy to do that, in order to slow new tech becoming available to western consumer markets.

  35. It’s not the players, it’s the game that has to be abandoned. Who the fuck decided that this is how we live and run our government? We’ve been the frog in the saucepan since about 1945, playing The Great Game. Nations that play The Great Game turn into right bastards.
For the last 40 years, I’ve been watching the Reagan-Thatcher Plan; which I renamed the Reagan-Thatcher-binLaden Plan in action, over and over again, and yet the countries who fall victim to it do not see that it’s a chess opening trap that always seems to work. Yet again, it seems to be happening now.
Take a senile, inflexible country run by mindless bureaucratic tyrants, and seduce them into a war. It is far easier to start a war than stop it, so get them fighting, and they can’t stop.
    USA: War=Vietnam Result=moral collapse
    USSR: War=Afghanistan Result=collapse.
USA: War=Afghanistan (duh!) and Iraq. Result=transition towards a MIC autocracy.
    Now, Ukraine.
Did you hear the screaming and yowling in America about the end of the war in Afghanistan, how the country “collapsed” in mere weeks? That is because the 20-year “victory” was a brain-dead pseudo-government in Kabul that died when the plug was pulled. That was not a fuck-up. The US just allowed reality to happen.
Why does this happen over and over again? Why do we have to put up with government that is so fossilized that they can be lured into insanity, over and over again? Why do the people always hit the streets to cheer on the war? It’s playing into the Trap. Let’s stop.
Cease-fire now, pick up the pieces, negotiate.

  37. Brilliant. The best geopolitical analysis I’ve read coming out of the West. On the other side, you would all the competition you desire, as objectivity is prized over there, which means they are many, and you, by definition, would be outnumbered.
But, by definition again, you would not feel isolated and alone, instead, your input would be welcome.
    Which it is btw.
The concepts I’ve seen being thrown around over there include mutlipolar, of course, but new ones to me like autarky, nation-state self-suffiency, hunkering down, biting the bullet, accepting reality, flexibility, leave the lights on, leave the power on, leave the phones on, don’t create political vacuums by employing military tecniques like Shock and Awe, human corridors are to be left open to the last minute, free fire zones are the last resort. central banks must accept the leash, sovereign currencies should be used predominately in-house while travel and trade who cares, “are you with us or against us threats” apply to the oligarchy – and anyone else within the superstructure – not to the average citzenry … and so many more.
The purpose of war is not to kill for sport, nor should be used to achieve political “ends” via other means, war is tool to be used, only when it is deemed necesary to survive. That comes up a lot.

” …the brave, sexy comedian was leading an upset victory to kick Putin’s ass out of Ukraine.”
Funniest shit I’ve read since DeLillo, circa 1982. I’m off now, to the rabbit holes. They are dark, but I will take with my trusted flashlight, and I will be instantly more comfortable down there than I am up here, in the blackout.

    1. I forgot a concept that is nearly ubiquitous over there, in the hole. Cats. Of all the sanctions, that seems to be the one that troubles them most. It won’t hurt their economy of course, but it did wound them, quite literally it seems to me, a kind of visceral psychic pain has been inflicted. We have hurt the enemy, and he is almost ours.
Just a little more bloodletting is required. According to the Narrative.
I didn’t know you could sanction a cat. My neighbor’s cat rolls around in my driveway. Next time I see him doing this, I am going let him know my driveway is mine, not his, by saying to him while I give him a little scritch, “The next time I see you sneeking into my garage, I am going sanction you.”

  38. I think the lefty pundits doubted Putin’s puppeteers would fall for the exact same schtick, all over again (just so US fracked LNG could compete with whichever silly Shell/ BP consortium would end-up as top secret middle-man, renaming Nord-Stream 2 as GREEN Clean Freedom Fuel as 1.9 million more leaky-ass, air, water, food poisoning wells were fracked in PA’s Cancer Valley, Frackistan. 40. I think Russia geopolitical strategy to deflect NATO expansion since1997 coming towards Russian borders cannot be debunked in one article barely covering the chin of this topic. Time will tell. which narrative will prevail when the winner will. take it all.

  41. …”on paper Moscow stands so much more to lose by this action in the long term than it stood to gain.” Admittedly, if short term profit is above all else (shock capitalism’s logo, or market driven economy), it doesn’t make sense. But, if the lives of russian speaking civilians, in the recently recognised republics, is the priority (people over profit), then it makes all the sense in the world.

  42. I would say more — all Europe gonna be the same. It’s time to find its own goals or loose everything.

  43. Agreed. Things being what they are, what can any one individual do?
First, we need to loudly affirm anywhere anytime the supreme value of a human life, no matter in which country it happens to reside.
Second, it seems that the worst human beings end up in power, and this is why we end up with sociopathic governments. Sociopaths aim do destroy human interactions within a country, and between countries. Not only we have to be mindful and focused on maintaining our social connections, but I think we need to adopt the approach now being used against Russia: cancel the oligarchs and the elites.

Make it clear that it is not cool to be wealthy and powerful. This was 3rd point.
Competition is fine to some extent, starving, killing and bombing people and whole nations is not.
Listen to some of these pundits, when they say China is our competitor, they complete their thought asking to send more military power to China’s border. War is not economic competition, but in American Dollar Economy it is!

Finally, we cannot let ourselves be governed by corporations, with their MBA-driven analysis: “Our numbers show that we must make more humans suffer more.”
I am not kidding, the data analytics is a really hot employment field, and I think even Elon Musk lamented “MBA-ization” of America.
5th, we should all adopt new habits, I am going to take up playing chess. It is an awesome game when it is not played by monsters.
