Assange Is Reportedly Gravely Ill, And Hardly Anyone’s Talking About It

Julian Assange’s Swedish lawyer Per Samuelson has told the press that “Assange’s health situation on Friday was such that it was not possible to conduct a normal conversation with him.”

This jarring revelation has been reported by a small handful of outlets, but only as an aside in relation to Sweden refusing Samuelson’s request for a postponement of a scheduled hearing regarding Assange’s detention in absentia for a preliminary investigation of rape allegations. The fact that the imprisoned WikiLeaks founder is so ill that he can’t converse lucidly is itself far more significant than the postponement refusal, yet headlines mentioning Samuelson’s statement focus on the Swedish case, de-emphasizing the startling news from his lawyer.

As of this writing I’ve been able to find very few news outlets reporting on this at all, the most mainstream being a Reuters article with the very tame headline “Swedish court rejects delay of Assange hearing over ill-health: lawyer“. The Sydney Morning Herald also covered the story without even mentioning illness in headline, instead going with “Swedish court rejects effort to delay Assange hearing“. The much smaller alternative media outlet World Socialist Website has been the only outlet I’ve found so far which reports on Samuelson’s statement in anything resembling its proper scale, publishing a good article titled “Despite Assange’s ill-health, Swedish court rejects delay to hearing” a few hours ago.

This news has been so under-discussed and under-appreciated as of this writing that I didn’t find out about it until hours after the story broke, and I’m very plugged in to both alternative media commentary and WikiLeaks-related news. A report that Julian Assange was so sick he could barely speak all the way back on Friday and we still have no news about how he’s doing now should be hugely significant for everyone who cares about Assange, press freedom, government transparency or peace activism.

Another part of this story which has gone completely uncovered in all English-language media as of this writing is the news that Assange has actually been transferred to the hospital wing of Belmarsh prison. This was reported by the Swedish outlet Upsala Nya Tidning, a newspaper published in the same district court Assange is scheduled to call in to for his hearing. The report was also based on a statement to the press by Per Samuelson.

The article reports the following, per machine translation:

“Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s Swedish lawyer wants the arrest hearing on Monday in Uppsala to be postponed. According to the lawyer, who has now visited his client in British prison, Assange is admitted to the medical department and was unable to make a call.

“Last Friday, Assange’s Swedish defender, lawyer Per E Samuelson, visited his client in prison. In a letter to Uppsala District Court, the lawyer says that they met for just under two hours. According to the lawyer, Assange’s state of health at the meeting was such that ‘a normal conversation with him was not possible’. Julian Assange is said to have been taken to the prison’s ward, but there is no more detailed information about his state of health.”

This story was picked up from Upsala Nya Tidning by Danish new agency Ritzau and published in the outlet Politiken, with the title (per machine translation) “Weakened Assange hospitalized in London prison: ‘Impossible to have a normal conversation with him'”. These news outlets are to my understanding as reputable as any other mainstream western outlet, yet they remain the only publications I’ve been able to find which are reporting that Assange has been hospitalized. This is absolutely bizarre.

I’ve emailed Per Samuelson with a request to confirm the news that Assange has been hospitalized. I’ll update this article if I hear back.

For Assange’s supporters, one of the many frustrating things about his imprisonment has been the way he’s been cut off from the usual means which used to be used to inform the public about his well being. It used to be that news reports could be easily confirmed or refuted by people who had consistent access to Assange in some way by sources like the WikiLeaks Twitter account, but the people who operate that account don’t have ready access to him anymore. Now we’re seeing all sorts of rumors circulating about how Assange is faring in prison, and it gets difficult to sort out fact from fiction. It appears that it would be difficult to find a more reliable source on the state of his health than his own lawyer, however.

It has long been an established fact that Assange was in failing health while trapped in the Ecuadorian embassy in London; doctors who visited him published an article with the Guardian in January 2018 titled “We examined Julian Assange, and he badly needs care – but he can’t get it“. Renata Avila, an activist and author who has worked with and written about WikiLeaks, tweeted in response to the new revelations, “He needed urgent assistance after his expulsion from the Embassy. Instead, he was not allowed to receive adequate medical treatment. In the case of Emin Huseynov (1 y @ Swiss Embassy) it took at least a month of treatment to go back to normal. Imagine after 7 years! Brutal.”

We have been watching the slow-motion assassination of Julian Assange. They have been choking him to death by tactical psyops, siege tactics, and wilful neglect as surely as if they placed a noose tied around his neck, not just in Belmarsh Prison but in the embassy as well. The only difference between his execution and someone on death row is the same as the difference between covert and overt warfare, which makes sense because the intelligence, judicial and military agencies who are carrying out his death sentence operate within the same power structure which carries out war. First came the smears (propaganda), then came the siege (sanctions), and they staged their coup (dragged him out of the embassy) and now they’ve got him in their clutches and they can do what they want behind closed doors. That’s how you kill a nation while still looking like a nice guy, and that’s how they’re killing Assange.

Shout this from the rooftops. Whether this media blackout is self-imposed or perhaps the result of the malicious use of a D-notice, we have to use everything in our power to get this information into the mainstream, and get people asking questions of the press and their local members about what the Dickens is going on in Belmarsh prison right now. Assange’s life may depend on it.

UPDATE: WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristinn Hrafnsson has confirmed that Assange has been transferred to the health ward of Belmarsh prison, and that his health has been steadily deteriorating since his imprisonment.

What I really Love is people that can explain what a victim deals with and feels while they are apart of the Ruling Class responsible for the Tyranny and Confused Messaging that clouds the Clarity needed to repair a crippled society that continues to believe that negative actions have no effect on Tomorrows Events ….

  • Phillip Adams, ABC radio host, started a petition on change.org to Free Julian Assange and to sign to Stop Extradition to the US. About 143,000 have signed so far; not sure the significance of change.org petitions. I am so ashamed of our Australian government, its lack of decency, backbone and gumption.

  • I caught a small article about him being transferred to the hospital in prison. I looked to see if I could find more information. Sadly, all of the articles contained rhetoric like this: Julian Assange was booted from Embassy for bad behavior including wiping poop on walls and dragged kicking and screaming to face charges for jumping bail on rape charges. etc, etc. It is painful to read. The mass media complex all has the same story and it is an almost impenetrable wall. After the 17 indictments, I searched articles, and the search now edits out any alternative or positive reporting. It was bad before, but I saw it change over the course of 24 hours to almost impossible to locate positive – or at least unbiased reporting. Even people that are basically supportive and in the know are mad or disappointed with Assange over the Trump Jr messages. It seems to me, Assange did with Trump Jr what he would do with any source – urge and give reasons why a leak would be a good idea. Also, I read the suggestion about getting appointed as an ambassador to the Trump administration as almost an outlandish joke. Why are people not seeing it this way. Keep writing and sharing. Thanks for your work.

    • At least some positive, truthful reporting:

‘He respected us’: Ex-consul debunks MSM claims Assange had issues with Ecuador’s embassy staff
      https://www.rt.com/news/457714-ecuador-consul-assange-allegations/

    • Hey, after finding out how they are treating Assange, smearing certain walls with poop doesn’t seem like such a bad idea…..

    • I support Assange and sincerely appreciate his sacrifice . I am quite positive he never did anything that was not honorable. I am not aware of what the reference to the Trump Jr. messages is.

  • The Lenin Moreno régime was 100% responsible for Julian Assange’s physical and mental health during the latter part of his confinement in the Ecuadorian embassy, and the Tory régime is 100% responsible for his physical and mental health now that he is in British custody. Res ipsa loquitur.

  • I read an article by a guy that supposedly knows, that Assange is being tortured with chemical injections, which fractures the mind.

    • They destroyed Paul Robeson by poisoning him at a reception in the US Embassy in Moscow, then transferring him to England where he had scores of ECT sessions, and ‘treatment’ with every psychoactive and neuroleptic drug then available. They turned a giant of humanity into a dessicated husk of what he had been.

  • The fact Julian Assange has not fallen ill earlier is astonishing. Seven years cooped up, spied on, harassed, hounded, and abused by the world’s capitalist press would have killed lesser mortals. His illness is but the latest outrage to be visited upon this hero of humanity, and champion of an honest, uncorrupted press.

His persecutors have wilfully, deliberately, and cynically caused the deterioration in his health, and are hoping he will die in captivity. Killing Assange is but another name for their roll-call of mass murder all over the planet.

The only way this brave man is going to be saved from evil empire of US imperialism is by the working classes of the world rising up in his support to force his release.

Get well soon Julian. All decent people all over the world are with you in spirit, and hoping to see you free.

  • This is pure speculation of course but intelligence services have been known before now to slip suspects in detention disorienting drugs in their food or drink, obviously a prisoner like Assange would have no way of avoiding surreptitious dosing to dull his intellect and cause amnesia, difficulty in communicating etc; there are a list of similar debilitating symptoms. His health is entirely at their mercy.
Low doses of Ketamine can lead to reduced attention, learning ability, difficulty speaking and memory loss. These are his symptoms are they not?

    Some drugs commonly used on victims are;

    GHB (gamma hydroxybutyric acid)
    Rohypnol (flunitrazepam)
    Ketamine (ketamine hydrochloride)

If you think the intelligence community are too moral to try this on Assange I have a bridge to sell you

  • He is being poisoned. Literally.

    Consider:
The government has less incentive to >make an example< of Assange than to outright silence him. At this critical moment when America's hegemony is threatened by a rising oppositional bloc (china, russia etc) and widely ridiculed at cyber speed on social media to the degree that their million-lies-per-minute disinfo scheme is no longer a surething, the CIA is consumed with ending the immedia threat. and let's be honest…the threat in the internet era is more ever thantruthtelling itself, especially from WikiLeaks.
They dont want to imprison him. they want to kill him. they arent trying to make a point of deterrence for the long term because they are not men driven by principle …. they are simply cold utilitarian taskmasters.

    they are poisoning him.

    • Exactly. To go through with extradition and some form of trial would only attract more negative attention from those parts of the establishment media that are already becoming concerned about the government attacks on the freedom of press and reporting.

So, they want a quiet end to the problem, namely Assange’s death.

  • In some cases, what is not reported can be very interesting. For instance, today’s corporate creative news channels are running a story about a man who set himself on fire outside the White House. Of course, the obvious question is to ask why this person did this, as this is very frequently a political statement. Except, on all the corporate creative news channels, they only say that the reason is unclear. So, assuming that this guy wasn’t just lighting himself on fire for the fun of it, or to promote a new vegas magic show, then what was the reason for this likely act of protest that can not be said aloud on the corporate creative news channels?

  • Yeah, after 7 years in quasi solitary confinement with the entire apparatus of the Western world seeking to destroy the man, they have successfully assaulted his sanity. Assange is human who sought to do good and ran into a wall of psychopaths power mongers. But he is better than they are. Just imagine what would happen to the such a personality as Trump if he were to suffer the same torture.

    • I rather think that Assange is probably getting the ‘Milosevic Method’. Annoying prisoner who needs to be liquidated, but is making fools of his persecutors, so, let’s take a short-cut. In Milosevic’s case, feed him Rifampicin, which is usually used against TB, but also interferes with the action of the cardiac medication that Milosevic was taking.
Of course it could be Polonium 210, the Arafat Method, whereupon Assange can, like Arafat, be said to have died of AIDS or syphilis or ‘antisemitism’ or something, or, plausibly, the Polonium will be ‘detected’ and Putin blamed, for shutting Assange up before he spilled the beans on just how and how long he was a Kremlin agent. Of course Assange’s stolen computer will be ‘modified’ to provide further ‘evidence’. Simples.

  • “Now we’re seeing all sorts of rumors circulating about how Assange is faring in prison, and it gets difficult to sort out fact from fiction. It appears that it would be difficult to find a more reliable source on the state of his health than his own lawyer, however.”

Not so, his own lawyer will be doing everything to make the situation seem worse than it really is, because they are requesting a delay on the grounds of ill-health. Lawyers will argue black is white if they think it will help the case. They are professional liars and their statements are not to be taken at face value.

    • I reckon it’s you who is arguing black is white you utter shitheel. I’ll bet you read the daily news and swear by every word dontcha. And “get the hearing delayed” they(the Swedish authorities) HAVE HAD SEVEN FUCKING YEARS to hold “hearings” the investigation was dropped several years ago, one of the “complainants”withdrew her complaint.Lawyers are not to be believed but lying war mongers, caught lying are to be believed over WMD “Assad gas attacks” starving Venezuelan people, babies from incubators Iranian nuclear weapons program ad fucking nausea.

      • Pilger listed seventeen instances of the Swedish fascist regime breaking its own ‘legal’ rules and conventions in this filthy witch-hunt. He may have under-estimated.

    • So you would totally discount the medical profession’s diagnosis ? Are you in fact a qualified medical practisoner who has actually seen the patient at first hand ? My experience with such matters, the legal system ALWAYS requires documentation from qualified people, who have actually diagnosed the patient. In some cases, they even call for more than one diagnosis to back up claims made by lawyers. Any lawyer making a claim without such back up would be committing professional suicide.

    • The Integrity Initiative have landed!

  • Here in Australia, I’ve just emailed the PM and Opposition Leader. Over the past few years I’ve been making a nuisance of myself with my local Federal MP about Julian, but he’s clearly not interested. Julian’s only hope now lies with massive public support.

    • I saw a female presstitute from the Fairfax sewer yesterday declare that our Pentecostal, bunyip Bolsonaro, PM, Morriscum, is ‘a compassionate man’. This is the thug who imprisoned refugee children until they went mad and attempted suicide, brought in a viciously punitive austerity Budget targeting the poor and defenceless, is an open, religiously fanatical, homophobe who opposed marriage equality, intends enshrining religious hatred and bigotry as ‘Free Speech’ and who is Hell-bent on killing all our children by worsening climate destabilisation through mining as much coal and gas as possible. THAT is what counts as ‘compassionate’ in the open air asylum that is Australia.

  • I always found it odd that Wikileaks in 2009 Most Wanted Leaks omits one country in particular in the Anglo-Zionist empire.
    https://wikileaks.org/wiki/Draft:The_Most_Wanted_Leaks_of_2009

This is where the supposed Espionage act charges against Wikileaks hinges upon. Charges 5 and 6

    Back then
“WikiLeaks Fiasco Doesn’t Embarrass Israel One Bit
There was no major discrepancy between messages delivered to Israeli press and those delivered to American diplomats.”
    https://www.haaretz.com/1.5146139

Here is the crux of what was revealed:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contents_of_the_United_States_diplomatic_cables_leak_(Israel)
Basically eliminate the Iranians, Palestinians and anyone who resist the Anglo-Zionist, nothing new to anyone who truly follows geo-politics.

    What is telling however is:
A cable written in 2006 asserted that some multinational companies — Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Motorola, Dell, etc. — complained to U.S. diplomats of being forced to pay bribes to Israeli authorities charged of overseeing the Karni Crossing to have their products distributed into the Gaza Strip.[16] The bribes allegedly occurred one year before Hamas won the 2006 Palestinian legislative elections and Israel imposed the economic embargo over Gaza.

    and
n August 2007, Mossad chief Meir Dagan suggested to the U.S. to use Iranian student unions and ethnic minority groups to try to overthrow the government of Iran.[19] WikiLeaks documents also suggest that Dagan denied plans to attack a Syrian nuclear facility, just two months before an attack actually happened.[20]

In June 2009 Ehud Barak, Israel’s defence minister, told U.S. congressman that Israel “saw 2010 as a pivotal year” in stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, inferring it would attack Iran if the weapons program was not stopped by then. This is the Israeli military’s preferred option. Other revelations included that Israeli Mossad chief Meir Dagan, senior military men and diplomats repeatedly explained to various U.S. visitors Israel’s concerns. The United States did not want it to be known that it was supplying bunker-buster munitions that could be used for this purpose.[21][22]

Again this is nothing new however makes one question who is the cart and who is the horse in the Anglo-Zionist empire?

  • Gordon Dimmack (recipient of Julian’s letter from Belmarsh) reads the letter in this video – very moving and sad – it’s only 7 minutes, please watch. Gordon ends with an invitation to turn up at Westminster Magistrates Court at 9 am 30 May when Julian’s second extradition hearing will be held. Anyone in or near London or who can make it, please turn up. I fear Julian’s only hope now lies with the general public making their feelings known.

  • You can only imagine what the UK government-psychopaths are putting in his food.

    Vile creatures.

  • Feeling so sad and despairing at what has happened to our journalism as it ignores the signs of its own death. Assange is a beacon in the dark that the neoliberals are trying to extinguish.

    • Western fakestream presstitutes regularly feature in polls of public estimation at the bottom, along with real estate agents, pay-day lenders and paedophiles. An insult to those other categories, in my opinion.

  • Sadly, the war criminals trying to silence and stop Julian Assange have apparently made the decision to end his life via extra-judicial killing inside Belmarsh Prison.

  • On May 7th this article was published on Lew Rockwell. It is an alarming story. I have no idea if it is true but it is claimed by the author that Julian has already been visited by The Company and that chemical torture was underway. The symptoms she describes in the article that result from this type of torture appear to match what Caitlin is reporting from the Swedish lawyer. https://www.lewrockwell.com/2019/05/karen-kwiatkowski/pray-and-weep/

    • I’ve read the story on the Rockwell site by Kwiatkowski and it’s chilling and entirely believable but we have only her unnamed sources, which is understandable but makes it difficult to carry the story forward. But I do know, as it’s documented, that Belmarsh inmates have been driven mad (kept in solitary, uncharged, a bit like Guantanamo) and power is at stake here.

  • Are you happy, wherever you live in this world as we know it, that your country or Tribe, etc. wants Jullian Assange Tortured for Truth? Do people control the world or weapons of mass destruction by the Elite Pigs? Muellar said years ago, Iraq has WMD. Who nuked a country? So called # 1 country with no health care for all and 50% of peoples $’S killing around the world for so called freedom, as terrorists (USA #1) around the world as fighting for freedom BS. D and R’s r bought.

  • The time has come to, not overhaul, but to “keel haul” world agencies such as, MI6, CIA, Mossad, FSB and the like.

Instead of protecting our nations they have directly, or indirectly, caused nothing but harm to civilization through their uncivilized behavior..
Without a doubt they can assassinate anyone without conventional weaponry.

They can even chemically dissolve a human body into a unrecognizable blob of snot.

  • What a shame. Everyone in the Alternative media failed to see that it was the UK that was the real threat to Assange. His thread on Twitter that revealed Joseph Mifsud’s connections to UK intelligence is what got him shut down and everyone wasted their time and energy blaming the US. What tools. Now that its serious and Assange’s health is failing from the combination of his mistreatment in the Ecuadorian Embassy, at the behest of the UK, and at a complete failure on the part of the UK’s prison to properly assess and treat his illness, the alternative media wants to name the mainstream media for not covering the news, without taking any credit for pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes by blaming the US. What a simple, but useful trick UK intelligence played on everyone so eager to hate the US. Great work Caitlin.

    • Intelligent people with access to unbiased, unfiltered information(such as via “alternate media”) have plenty of reasons to hate America -more properly the US elite- after all the ordinary American people suffer from US ceaseless war with inadequate health care, decrepit infrastructure, dead and maimed relatives who served in these illegal wars. More US service people have died from suicide, killed their families and so on than died in combat in Iraq. It is reliably estimated that US wars have killed over 10 million people since ww2. Cambodians and Lao probably hate America for the millions of land mines sown by air during the Vietnam war and still killing people, Vietnamese with children deformed by agent orange probably likewise don’t feel too friendly to America. The surviving relatives of the HALF A MILLION IRAQI CHILDREN killed by sanctions from 1991 to 2003-you know, Albright:” the price was worth it”- quite possibly feel a bit peeved with America. No “alternative media tricks” needed there .

      • Hmmm

        Antipropo:

“Intelligent people with access to unbiased, unfiltered information” ?

Where exactly can “intelligent people”, like yourself I assume, get “access to unbiased, unfiltered information” outside of state run intelligence agencies?

Or is this simply an affirmation that you are in fact a member of the intelligence community?

If you are not, I for one would be very interested to know exactly how and where I can get access to unbiased, unfiltered information…….

      • The US kill numbers since WW2 are VASTLY more than ten million. That is only the direct, kinetic, death-toll from US military aggression. Then you must add the death-squad actions of US stooges like the butcher of Rwanda, Kagame, his ally in butchery in Congo, Musuveni, and sundry vermin like Marcos, Mobutu, Suharto, the apartheid thugs, the Zionist and Wahhabist Mafias, al-Qaeda and its spawn, and scores of fascist and sub-fascist butchers in Latin America and numerous other death-squads. Then there is the effect of subversion, sanction and sabotage, and finally, most markedly, the actions of the economic hit-men of the neo-liberal Washington Consensus of the World Bank, WTO, GATT, IMF etc, whose victims are in the tens of millions.

  • Very few prisons show any respect or care for any inmates; most prison guards are too sadistic to be police officers!! Unfortunately Mr. Assange will probably be treated very badly everywhere he finds himself!!! Very few journalists even bother to write anything about him or what his prosecution means to everyone else; here is one exception:
    https://original.antiwar.com/Nozomi_Hayase/2019/05/26/we-must-defend-assange-to-save-democracy-from-american-despotism/

  • Yes, Assange is certainly being silenced–for good!!!

He is truly a 21st century Jesus figure. A gentle, peace-loving truth teller being brutalized by the Roman warmongering Elites all over again.

His crucifixion has been slow torture over 7 plus years of solitary confinement in the Embassy, without medical help, and now quite possibly poisoning while in their clutches, having been thrown in among murderers, in order to end the embarrassing debacle once and for all and proceed to world war, starting with Iran.

  • How utterly predictable. They’re going to simply Jack Ruby him rather than taking any chances on justice. Of course, they give everyone psych meds when they get into the slammer, no exceptions. They pass around the heavy duty psych meds to everyone like gummy bears. They don’t want him lucid. Charles Sell is another example that comes to mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sell_v._United_States
And they’re so eager to get their vicious revenge they can hardly wait for a trial or wait to discuss the legal niceties. As Hillary said, “Can’t we just drone this guy?”

  • If these reports that Assange’s health is failing and that he is being denied proper medical care prove to be true, then the likely explanation is that the masters of the Empire do not want a public trial. Such a trial, in which Assange could make his case eloquently against the ruling class, might be too inflammatory and embarrassing for our masters to countenance. Hence, a slow assassination is preferable. For all we know, he might be the victim of poisoning.

    • I hope some of us will be around long enough to witness the resurrection of a new Hague, a world court to hear, expose, record, and meet out justice.

      • it’s “mete,” not “meet.” Mete out justice.

        • Yes, JRGJRGI realized my error as soon as it went up but we can’t edit our comments here, so I simply left it as is. Thanks! 🙂

    • Assange will never get a ‘public’ trial. Once renditioned to the USA, his legal lynching will be in secret, for ‘national security’ reasons. But that costs money, so he must die, now. US politicians said that he must be assassinated, and so he will be.

  • Karen Kwiatkowski ‘s report a few weeks ago of BZ, a psychotropic drug, being used on Assange in Belmarsh was dismissed by many as too far out to be believed. https://off-guardian.org/2019/05/10/chemical-torture-of-julian-assange/

I wonder now. BZ is to, incidentally, the drug unofficially suspected in the Skripal’s poisoning. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-russia-skripal-lavrov/russias-lavrov-says-skripals-may-have-been-poisoned-by-substance-russia-never-made-idUSKBN1HL17K

As you say, there’s precious little in the presses about this. I wrote to the UN’s press department regarding Special Rapporteur, Nils Melzer’s televised promise to produce a public statement after visiting Assange in Belmarsh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAsiaYtbK7A

Failing to find the public report he promised May 10th, I wrote to Melzer directly, and told him the UN press office said there would be no “report” forthcoming, adding on his behalf, there would be no public statement. He seemed puzzled by that, and said he would indeed be issuing a statement in the coming weeks…

  • Thanks for putting this out there, Caitlin. Your analogy of the establishment’s long effort to destroy Assange to actual warfare is spot on. In order to get away with it, they had to first destroy his public image. It is startling to see videos from ca. 2010 showing a gracious, smiling, immensely likeable Julian interacting delightfully with people, modestly accepting accolades and awards, and then realize how totally and devastatingly successful their smear campaign has been. Even as the MSM admits that Assange’ indictment on espionage charges is wrong, they continue to drive home how unlikable he is. They want to extinguish every last bit of public sympathy and caring for Julian.

In addition to the abuses you discuss above, several independent media sites report that Belmarsh is administering psychotropic drugs to Assange, in particular one called BZ. Retired USAF lieutenant colonel Karen Kwiatkowski writes,

“we are being told that Assange is being “treated” with 3-quinuclidinyl benzilate, known as BZ. BZ is a powerful drug that produces hallucinations. Soldiers on BZ could remember only fragments of the experience afterward. As the drug wore off, and the subjects had trouble discerning what was real, many experienced anxiety, aggression, even terror,” the New Yorker reported. “…The drug’s effect lasted for days. At its peak, volunteers were totally cut off in their own minds, jolting from one fragmented existence to the next. They saw visions: Lilliputian baseball players competing on a tabletop diamond; animals or people or objects that materialized and vanished.”

Julian’s doctors, lawyers, and we in the general public need to raise an outcry and demand an investigation into what they are doing.

    • This might throw a little more light on Assange’s condition:

Extreme monitoring and bugs: Ex-inmate details Julian Assange’s likely treatment in Belmarsh prison

      https://www.rt.com/news/460572-assange-treatment-belmarsh-prison/

“Julian Assange is likely the focus of unwanted attention from both prison officers and his fellow cellmates at HMP Belmarsh, according to a former inmate of the infamous prison.
The WikiLeaks founder was sentenced to 50 weeks incarceration at the high-security London facility following his dramatic arrest at the Ecuadorian embassy last month.

“Former prisoner Pepsi Watson says that Assange’s profile will mean he will be the source of immense curiosity amongst the prison’s inmates.”

  • Once you are on the other side of the prison walls of any Country or State, you are Fucked! Nobody cares. CIA and MI6 could play their Stasi/SS torture games with mind fucking altering drugs. What happens to Palestinians in Israeli prisons? Nobody cares. What happens to people in CIA dark sites all over the Planet? Nobody knows or cares. What happens to prisoners behind prison walls in countries all over Planet? No one knows or cares. Yet the mass murderers and Wall Street thieves run around free and unaccountable.

  • Now cracks a noble heart. —Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

  • Because we are in the days of Noah as it was written it would be near the end close to the Final Judgement, the ruling people will go so low to defend their rule that it is impossible to follow them on that path.

They are persecuting Truthtellers, they have clearly seen airplanes in the Pentagone and in a field in Pennsylvania on 9-11, all things people of good faith cannot do. But so many people in our days are of bad faith just to protect a System that, in their opinion, make them having more power and being richer than others.

No wonder according to the prophecy of the popes by the famous Irishman Saint Malachy, Francis is the last pope before the Final Judgement of mankind.

The more I see what is going on, the more I believe this prophecy. The last thing left to us is the Holy Rosary.

    • Why do we always get religious fanatics in here writing totally off-topic?

      • You really didn’t have to reply to that comment. Kindness costs nothing.

        • As a matter of fact, I did need to reply. Off topic posts like that one only serve to defocus and dilute the discussion.

          • I knew it -when there was suddenly a lot of articles on Assange here in the U.S. the last few days. They did not say anything new about Assange, not even that he was in a jail hospital, but I thought -he must be really sick to be suddenly getting all these articles published.

Julian Assange is a Hero of Free Press.
“Without a Free Press, there can be no Democracy”
            Thomas Jefferson

  • Feeling so helpless and sad and irate at the slow murder of one of the true heroes of modern times.

    • Amen.

  • i’m too scared to act on what i know and understand, most of the times. obviously, “they” have been watching me and many others and harming those who are effective. i’m only an average person in the courage department.

that’s why BDS works for me, as it mostly requires passive actions. and it is the best action as well.

  • the globalist parasites have been doing a very good job of threatening any potential whistleblowers with harshest punishments of Assange, Manning, Snowden and many others. the globalist ghouls couldn’t care less about our criticism and protest against their crimes.

  • There are many ways to kill someone – an easy way is to kill someone by neglect. Say the person is very sick – just deny him adequate medical care and Mother Nature will do the rest. Then you can say the person died of ‘natural causes’. Julian is being ‘Arkancided’. The world does care, but the perpetrators are keeping information from us, trying to kill Julian behind closed doors and preventing us from seeing it.

    • Correct. Don’t be surprised by a quick cremation after he dies to prevent any future forensic investigation of the causes of his death.
      ..
There is nothing more dangerous than a desperate transnational Elite that possesses thousands of nuclear weapons.
      ..
BTW, speaking of a desperate trannational Elite, where are the Skripals and why haven’t we heard from them?

  • Hello Caitlin. Thank you for all your hard work and information on Assange. It is chilling news. Please have a look at Gordon Dimmack’s YouTube channel. He received a letter from Assange and reads it out in this clip: https://youtu.be/Es6OT4VsQAo

I found this on YouTube today. It is an insider’s account of just what HMP Belmarsh is actually like. Not good news but we need to know what Assange is up against: https://youtu.be/Gh6v1Q_C5B4

  • sad and the world doesnt care

    • Some of us certainly do! And I believe that the number in support of Assange’s (and Manning’s and others’) messages about the power of “transparent journalism” will grow exponentially in the following months and years to come, as in the example of historical Jesus and others who stood with him in his struggle against the human rights’ abuses and ignorant brutality of the Roman elites. History repeats itself, unless we all collectively learn our lessons. Assange is today’s 21st century crusader leading the silent/frightened masses into greater awareness about today’s government corruption and lies. I believe he has already accomplished his work here on earth since we all come here for a higher purpose in this video game we are living in. Now it is our job to carry on his gift of awareness that he worked so hard to give us, and achieved by dying for us.

  • J A has been tortured with pyschotropic drugs administered by his jailers on the orders of MI6 and the CIA. I believe J A has completed his mission in this 3D dimension with honors. And, his legacy still has much to be revealed with all the data Wikileaks has under wraps. I pray for his release from suffering….and that his journey Home to Peace begin now. Salud, Julian!

  • Hmmm

There is an old saying that goes something like this: if you can’t beat them, kill them……The government knows that in the final analysis, the publicity from any court case, regardless of the verdict, will be perceived by the people as an attack on their freedoms in general and their 1st Amendment Rights in particular. In other words, it is a lose, lose situation for the government. Death on the other hand, prevents the trial while removing the dangers of the truths he harbors. For the people who control the government, his timely death would surely be viewed as a victory.

    • Excellent insight, DDEARBORN. The only way they can truly win this would be to kill him. And if by chance they fear what may come of the famous Wikileaks “dead man’s switch, ” their chances improve if they can take him out quietly. The U.S. also confiscated all of his personal and professional possessions after their London proxies arrested him, perhaps looking for keys to his remaining trove of information on their activities.

  • I am not surprised.
    .
There are many ways to clandestinely kill someone. Government intelligence agencies are specialists in such activities.
    .
I wouldn’t put it beyond them, especially as the Ecuadorian government turned hostile when the present Ecuadorian president replaced the previous one. They would have willingly provided access to add something in the water, food or air.

  • Call me paranoid if you will, but it would not be beyond the US lickspittles in Britain’s prison to poison or otherwise harm Assange’s health.

    • It’s been known for quite awhile that Assange has not been well, though the exact nature has not been revealed.

  • Daer Caitlin,
    Try emailing: courage.contact@couragefound.org

They run the Defend Wikileaks Website and may have more info on his condition

    https://defend.wikileaks.org/

    Bill

    • Pretty sure Caitlin would know about this, William. So what’s your point? If you are a troll, please find somewhere else to express the sickness. This thread is too damn serious for that kind of shit.

      • What is your problem? Calling me a troll! How dare you! And let Caitlin speak for herself.

  • obviously, Putin snuck into the prison and forced some Novichok down Julian….

    • No, Joseph-it was Polonium 210. To keep him quiet, of course.

  • Reminds me of the Israeli assassination of Yasser Arafat, ignored by the MSM:

    • well the world knows that too. most of us are just too cowardly to act on what we know. our enemy have reduced us to cowardice with their ruthless shameless crimes.

      • Yes, as their surveillance powers grow (revealed in detail via Wikileaks’ Vault 7), so grows our sense of danger should we speak out against them.
