California Senator Kamala Harris won the Democratic presidential debate last night. It was not a close contest. She will win every debate she enters during this election cycle. If she becomes the nominee, she will win every debate with Trump.

Night two of the debates was just as vapid and ridiculous as night one. Candidates interrupted and talked over each other a lot, questions about foreign policy were avoided like the plague to prevent NBC viewers from thinking critically about the mechanics of empire, and Eric Swalwell kept talking despite everyone in the universe desperately wanting him not to. Buttigieg and Gillibrand did alright, Bernie played the same note he’s been playing for decades, and everyone was reminded how bad Joe Biden is at talking and thinking.

Biden has been treated kindly by polls and regarded as a “frontrunner” in this race exclusively because for the last decade he hasn’t had to do anything other than be associated with Barack Obama. Now that he’s had to step out of that insulated role and interact with reality again, everyone’s seeing the same old garbage right-wing Democrat who sucks at making himself look appealing just as badly as he did in his last two presidential campaigns. By the end of the night, even Michael Bennet was slapping him around.

The moment everyone’s talking about was when Harris created a space for herself to attack Biden on his citing his collaboration with segregationists as an example of his ability to reach across the aisle and “get things done”. Harris had not been called upon to speak, and once given the go-ahead by moderator Rachel Maddow after interjecting went way beyond the 30 seconds she’d been allotted in tearing Biden apart. She skillfully took control of the stage and engineered the entire space for the confrontation by sheer dominance of personality, and Biden had no answer for it.

That’s the moment everyone’s talking about. But Harris had already been owning the debate prior to that.

The goal of a political debate is to make yourself look appealing and electable to your audience. You can do that by having a very good platform, or you can do it with charisma and oratory skills. It turns out that Kamala Harris is really, really good at doing the latter. She made frequent and effective appeals to emotion, she built to applause lines far more skillfully than anyone else on the stage, she kept her voice unwavering and without stammer, she made herself look like a leader by admonishing the other candidates to stop talking over each other, and she hit all the right progressive notes you’re supposed to hit in such a debate.

Unlike night one of the debates, night two had a clear, dominant winner. If you were a casual follower of US politics and didn’t have a favorite coming into the debate, you likely went away feeling that Harris was the best.

This wasn’t a fluke. Harris has been cultivating her debate skills for decades, first in the Howard University debate team where she is said to have “thrived”, then as a prosecutor, then as a politician, and she’ll be able to replicate the same calibre of performance in all subsequent debates. There’s more to getting elected than debate skills, but it matters, and in this area no one will be able to touch her.

Harris won the debate despite fully exposing herself for the corporate imperialist she is in the midst of that very debate. While answering a question about climate change she took the opportunity to attack Trump on foreign policy, not for his insane and dangerous hawkishness but for not being hawkish enough, on both North Korea and Russia.

“You asked what is the greatest national-security threat to the United States. It’s Donald Trump,” Harris said. “You want to talk about North Korea, a real threat in terms of its nuclear arsenal. But what does he do? He embraces Kim Jong Un, a dictator, for the sake of a photo op. Putin. You want to talk about Russia? He takes the word of the Russian president over the word of the American intelligence community when it comes to a threat to our democracy and our elections.”

Harris is everything the US empire’s unelected power establishment wants in a politician: charismatic, commanding, and completely unprincipled. In that sense she’s like Obama, only better.

Harris was one of the 2020 presidential hopefuls who came under fire at the beginning of the year when it was reported that she’d been reaching out to Wall Street executives to find out if they’d support her campaign. Executives named in the report include billionaire Blackstone CEO Jonathan Gray, 32 Advisors’ Robert Wolf, and Centerbridge Partners founder Mark Gallogly. It was reported two entire years ago that Harris was already courting top Hillary Clinton donors and organizers in the Hamptons. She hasn’t been in politics very long, but her campaign contributions as a senator have come from numerous plutocratic institutions.

Trump supporters like to claim that the president is fighting the establishment, citing the open revulsion that so many noxious establishment figures have for him. But the establishment doesn’t hate Trump because he opposes them; he doesn’t oppose existing power structures in any meaningful way at all. The reason the heads of those power structures despise Trump is solely because he sucks at narrative management and puts an ugly face on the ugly things that America’s permanent government is constantly doing. He’s bad at managing their assets.

Kamala Harris is the exact opposite of this. She’d be able to obliterate noncompliant nations and dead-end the left for eight years, and look good while doing it. She’s got the skills to become president, and she’ll have the establishment backing as well. Keep an eye on this one.

Agree, Harris would ultimately have a better shot at Oval Office than Biden and represents perhaps the top
option for the elite. However, while she is similar to Obama, she has not proven to be the absolute master of
corruption with commanding charisma, he was. Hopefully she won't ge given the chance to prove otherwise.

And completely fake, an obedient puppet of the US empire’s unelected power establishment, all while appearing not to be. Just like Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, and ad nauseum down the line of American presidents for over a century.

When are we going to quit playing this rigged game and start mandatory and regular psychological testing of all our leaders?

  3. Caitlin, you are spot on in claiming that Harris won this debate cycle and has effectively knocked out Biden (although his political death may take a bit longer.) But you dismiss Bernie’s performance too lightly.

Bernie didn’t shine because while he set the standard on the issues that everyone else was trying to touch in their familiar political-operative way, he was in a sense not really part of this conversation. His central goal had to be not falling into any of their traps, while sending out messages to his real audience.

Some of my friends and I sat down and talked over what Bernie’s target constituency, regular working people and young people, needs to hear, and Bernie NAILED it. Mostly those are people who weren’t listening, but millions were and they heard him.

    Two moments stand out.

Bernie refused to be pushed into naming a top issue, and named as his top issue “we need a revolution”. Most working folk I know – and most young folk – believe this to be true. More importantly it requires not picking one battle (and one issue constituency) over another, because this has to be our moment to all come together around all our issues, where we are all stopped by the power of the same billionaire ruling class.

And in his final statement he acknowledged the many good ideas being presented, but well-meaning people have been talking about these things since almost forever yet nothing much changes. He pointed out that for the last 45 years our income has flatlined while that of the billionaires has soared, and challenged us to choose a candidate with the guts and commitment to take them on, and to lead us in taking them on.

To many listeners – certainly to the pundits and the political class – this is just more “tired old Bernie”, but it speaks directly to the beliefs and experience of the working people, who have the power to turn out and elect the next president (like we did in 2008,) or stay home and let Trump win. Bernie speaks to our hearts, touches our sense of worth and calls us to battle. He offers us a story about who we are, how we got here, where we could go and how we get there – a story that we need as urgently as we need food on our table. He acknowledges and validates our class anger, but also he offers us a future based on our most deeply held values, built on cooperation and love.

After 8 years of Obama, we’re not likely to take a chance on a Kamala Harris, or an Elizabeth Warren either.

So yes, tactically Harris is winning, she may well be the “Anybody but Bernie” candidate, but strategically Bernie is right on track.

  4. “Get your ‘That little girl was me’ t-shirts, only $30!” Manipulative witch.

    1. That’s blunt, Jeff. But I’m afraid, *accurate*. Her true self behind the “progressive” fascade was revealed in all its glory, when in a speech in Chicago (bragging about her
tenure as AG of California), she openly mocked (in a vicious way, and full of personal bile) that the Progressives’ stand of “schools not jails” is for fools, because “I have to make sure my front door is double-bolt-locked at night”, a cocky attitude in lock-step with the Clinton “Anti-Crime bill” of 1994 which stereotyped Black youth as “Predators”. Harris’ record in CA is clear. She loves locking up inner-city minorities, even proven innocent ones. Except, Jeff, I wouldn’t just call her a “manipulative witch”. Instead, she reminds me of the character in Victor Hugo’s novel, “Les Miserables”, who played the mean and spiteful prison-guard, then inspector- Javert – whose indefatigable and obsessive pursuit, conviction, and imprisonment of those who are poor and downtrodden, is an attempt to hide some sort of deep-seated self-hatred of his own personal background, in which he shares features with those whom he condemns.

  5. I live in Australia and I shouldn’t give a toss about the horrifying and lamentable line-up of US Presidential wannabes. But I have to care because Washington writes the foreign policy of my country and both major parties accept it without question. More sanctions against countries you don’t like, Mr President? YES, SIR. More ‘provocation’ of China, Mr President? YES, SIR. More troops for your next illegal and immoral and destructive invasion of a foreign country? YES, SIR, Mr President – how soon can we start?

    1. You’re right. Arundhati Roy makes the same point. As a citizen of India, she might be expected to feel a wee bit of hesitation before giving the president of the United States both barrels. On the other hand, as she explains, American presidents, because of the imperial nature of that State are, essentially and unfortunately, presidents of the world.

  6. Now there’s a bit of history for us. But as we’ve seen with Willie, Hillie, and even Donnie, any personal history of that sort has apparently become a resume enhancement as opposed to a “problem”. Of late, if one wants to move his or her image forward, the quickest path to success seems to be that one leaks a porno vid, or at least develops a rumor of having “had” a porno star as in Donnie’s case. Even such vids were to show up with Kamala and Willie there are few who would be shocked and outright condemn such even within the community of little old grandmothers, IMHO. This seems particularly true among those who tend to be Democrats.

Bollocks. If you don’t mind me saying so. And relating to Kamala Harris, it is very informative, indeed. I live in San Francisco, where we are more aware than anyone of Harris’s services to the ruling class. She always defends corporations and out and out financial criminals like Steve Mnuchin; she was an avid supporter of the three strikes law, she loves to lock people up. Harris also met with Hillary Clinton’s financial Wall Street supporters to reassure them that she will work for them. She was a protege of former Mayor Willie Brown, so she’s well trained in this.

  8. Harris is clearly a fraud. I didn’t think she won at all.

    1. Exactly. That would make you informed. But from the standpoint of the zombies who get their knowledge of climate crisis, God and the world from corporate media, she won.

  10. It’s amusingly confusing or confusingly amusing to see posts calling Harris a “Marxist” and/or “communist”. Do any of those people know ANYTHING about the subject? I fear not. No communist I, but if capitalist “democracy” is the answer why does 1% own 90% of the wealth? Why are people living under bushes in wealthy countries? Why does health care and education cost A CENT to people in wealthy. I countries? It free in poor ones eg Cuba.

Well, I’m a Marxist and Caitlin is absolutely right. See my comment earlier. We in San Francisco know all about her checkered career. Only the idiots who are totally into identity politics think she’s worth anything, and that’s only based on her gender and family’s immigrant background.

The peace movement has been showing a few feeble signs of struggling out of the coma Obama’s election put it into. President Harris could probably finish it off, nail the coffin shut and bury it. All we would have left to do, maybe, is plant a couple of peony bushes on the grave.

  12. The people think Tulsi Gabbard won the debates. Of course, if a TV new pundit ever said so, we’d see the first live execution of a TV news anchor-robot.

  13. That’s not really fair. Joe Biden has been working hard at sucking up to big money ever since he became Senator from the Corporate State of Delaware. Since people around the world read this, they may not know that Delaware is the most corporate friendly state in America in terms of its laws and taxes (or lack of corporate taxes). Thus, before the American corporations finally flee to the Bahamas or Ireland as their official location, they are almost always incorporated in Delaware. Delaware politics is of course corporate controlled to make sure that this corporate-friendly stance is never change and is of course imposed on the rest of the country and the world.
    . . . – – – . . .
Sen. Biden was known as the Senator from MasterCard while he was in the Senate. I’m sure no banker-friendly TV pundit will ever use that name. Doing so would be a career-ending mistake for a media suck-up.
    . . . – – – . . .
I have no doubt that Joe Biden has been busily sucking up to big money and corporate executives for at least the last four years. And, he had to kiss up to Hillary in order to get her How-To-Run-For-President top-secret gameplan. Joe Biden has been working very hard at all of the accepted ways to get the nomination of the Party of Wall Street, by Wall Street and for Wall Street, including getting the key backing of the We-Want-Nuclear-War-And-We-Want-It-Now! wing that controls the party and the party media. All of this is hard work, and I’m sure involved long hours at cocktail parties. Its not fair to claim that the Senator from MasterCard hasn’t been working.
    🙂

    1. Nice work!

  14. The Democratic National Corporation owns the debates and both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are corporate candidates. Just for the sake of argument, presume ( I try not to assume because of the whole ass thing) this whole segregationist issue has been scripted ahead of time and is being used to run out the clock for debates that were never intended, nor allowed, to distinguish candidates on real issues. The next round will feature the termination of Harris’s new found, and carefully scripted, momentum when Biden says what he should have said this time: Associating Harris with the pot calling the kettle black . . . or a black pot calling the kettle white. Any of the other candidates could have broken in but chose not to. Biden will recall Harris is known as the Prosecutor in Chief who laughed about imprisoned Black men similar to how Immigrants knew Obama as the Deportor in Chief.

Recall the incident staged by Clinton in the 2016 selection of Trump when she blatantly lied about being under fire? Clips were posted “almost” immediately disproving her claim including a statement by the young woman in Clinton’s company (social, not corporate-) disputing the claim? I say “almost” because someone often jumps the gun and posts a response to something before it happens.

In the meantime two cycles of debates will have passed and still no serious debate. The debates are a sinking ship. If the Emperor has no cloths then the Debate ship has no hull. The ghost of a skeleton.

Wise candidates, those not beholden to the DNC, will cry fowl now a jump ship. Enough of them together can survive to run as independents of any color but red or blue. They have the potential to become the Founding Parents of the American Evolution. Revolution suggests combat, violence death and destruction. Evolution employs other options. Why fight among ourselves when a third adversary, climate and/or nuclear extinction, is accelerating exponentially?

We know the last Primary was stolen. We know the General was stolen and explained away as the Russia-gate Conspiracy. We predicted the same will happen this time and . . . so it seems. Let’s cut to the chase. Just presume it will happen and start thinking now about what to do next. Time grows . . . shorter.

  15. The independents who gave Trump the WH will NOT vote for Harris. She’s everything they’re suspicious of and are presumed to detest. Her fake teariness while describing being bussed during the debate is exactly the kind of fake emotional swill that we independent voters hate and have come to associate with the female side of the centrist Democratic Party. And in that regard I have to respectfully disagree with Caitlin. Harris may have beaten a visibly addled Biden, but that wasn’t at all difficult. And when her actual track record as a DA (incarceration rates of blacks and the homeless), and the kissing off the hundreds of counts against Steve Mnuchin while at DOJ (so she could prove her establishment ties), will not play well with the electorate anywhere except in the alternative universe of ‘facts are what snowflakes want to believe in’ that the Democrats and establishment MSM live in. She may have ‘won’ where her competition was bordering on senility and where she was given ‘free-rein’ to engage in what looked like a rehearsed attack on Biden, but she’s got more of a record than Obama did, AND she’s not ‘black’ enough.
https://defconnews.com/2019/01/24/its-over-black-activists-have-yanked-kamala-harris-black-card/. Either way, she’s the Clinton’s hands-on favorite and has been from the start. As that starts to become more and more obvious I predict that independent vote will turn against her and transform into what it became in 2016. From ‘anybody but Clinton’ to ‘anybody except a centrist DNC female ‘front-runner” with Clinton/Obama support.

    1. Anything to make sure that on the day after the debate, nobody is talking about programs like Medicare For All. In other words, the fake random draw by the Democratic National Crooks worked out well for their plans. There was Elizabeth Warren nite, and now there is the bury Bernie nite.

    2. Well said.

  16. Well as much as I hate to say this is probably true. Also Trump was elected to stop illegal immigration (which he had and will do nothing about) and the animosity people had towards Hillary. So Dems have a good chance

  17. Probably the shittiest article I’ve ever seen by the author. It mentions nary a significant dark spot on the ability chart for this communist Obama sister. It is an article of deepest adoration, not analytical thought and exposition. It describes not a presidential candidate but someone who is a political Mother Teresa, a person of unlimited skills and talents on loan from Gawd. Oh, Kamala, bless this land of waves of grain billowing in the warm and loving breezes you will bestow on us who will remain after the greatest of purges wipes out 80% of us. You fail to talk about our shitty imperialist ways, our facility to murder and maim in the name of murdering and maiming.

  20. Harris has been cozying up to the Israel lobby. I hope you are wrong about her prospects. She seems like a female Obama.

    1. Even the putatively angelic Tulsi Gabbard loves to rub against Zionist skin. Oh, she’s for cessation of all wars, as long as it’s not a war coveted by our only great and wonderful allies in the Middle East. Sooner or later, Kamala will have to divulge the source of her campaign funds and we’ll see the name of Chaim Saban who will give her hundreds of millions of dollars to keep our neocons occupied in their latest Middle Eastern war against the enemies of Israel. How touching is this Kamala, a Marxist of such high repute.
Kamala will be exposed and rather soon. Watch this witch cross examine people before Congressional committees and you’ll see a woman you will soon grow to hate.Kamala is one vicious hatemonger. She’ll go far, hopefully back to Fresno.

      1. All true!

      2. As far as I can tell Gabbard is opposing the Zionist war schemes. She actually had the temerity to travel to Syria and talk with government officials. The press and the neocons are trying to marginalize her. She may have made a pitch to some Zionists somewhere but what is important are her actions. The Israelis do not control her.

    2. To say that Kamala Harris is unprincipled is an understatement. She is a courtesan. It would be a fitting end to the American Empire if we installed an actual prostitute in the white house as “leader”.

She is very good and forceful on stage but her flaw is that she let’s it go to her head and loses focus at the end instead of maintaining consistency to the finish. She was too aware of her success against Biden and her pithy comment during the chaotic brawl during the middle of the debate debacle. But will she prevail against Trump. She might be excellent in debate but college debates are not the same as political debates as the takeaways are not so much intellectual proficiency as making your opponent look like a loser by forcing them to make some verbal or nonverbal gaffe. Trump’s advantage is that you can throw the kitchen sink at him and he loves it and looks like the brawler he is. But since his whole schtick is that he is fighting for the American people he can wind up looking like a fighter rather than an ordinary republican corporatist. And if you use his tactics of insult you wind up losing to him since you have gone to his level and, since he is the original and his opponent is the imitator, he winds up looking like the real deal fighting a loser wannabe. The only candidates than can best him in debate are Tulsi Gabbard or Pete Butigieg. But Tulsi is far more inspirational when she gets going than Mayor Pete. If you watch MSM gang up on Tulsi she is able to deflect and attack in one fluid motion. But she is a martial artist and disciplined soldier and against Trump she can make him look like a little boy wanting his neighbor’s toy. Full disclosure: I am a Tulsi supporter.

    1. Tulsi-babes just loves those Zionists. Yep, can’t get enough of ’em. On one hand, she’s anti-war, on the other hand she’d be delighted to drag the US into a war coveted by Israel. She’s a big phony on this issue and once a candidate/POTUS is kidnaped into the Zio concentration camp, the jig is up and you become property of Israel. No, thanks. I’ll pass on this clandestine Zionist.

Hey, give her a chance! This is only the ‘primary’. It doesn’t matter what she says during the primary, cuz the primary is only meant to draw a bunch of voters to vote for her, you know, to win the nomination based on things she says to them during the primary. We won’t know what her real politics are until after the general election “pivot”, (if she wins the nomination, of course).

  27. From the information I’m reading here, Harris is even worse than I thought. Trump could beat her easily, IMHO, just as he did Clinton and it will be a very heated campaign like 2016. 29. now you can stream the entire “not backing down” event (for the palestinian human rights) at umass amherst (may 2019) at notbackingdownumass.org.

  32. Like a fool I projected my left-wing sentiments onto Barack Obama. Others saw through him long before I did. Cornel West once referred to Obama as “a black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.’’ Kamala Harris is Obama all over again. Obama’s greatest skill was oratory, and Harris is even better. The fat cats and the warmongers have found their candidate. When Harris wins the nomination, Democrats will have tears in their eyes and they will feel a surge of moral rectitude in their chests. I won’t be joining them. I dropped out of the Democratic Party in 2016.

    1. It’s obviously a media circus and the candidates are the clowns. When you saw Rachel Maddow there that tells you all you need to know.

When the establishment Dems first floated the idea of a Kamala presidency, she did well. But then, too many people found who she really is and her popularity started to tank. That’s exactly why Joe Biden entered the race. He’s the patsy whose job it is to help propel Harris to the forefront by being the fall guy during the debate. She eviscerated him so that his followers will fall in line behind her. It’s all a dog and pony show. Harris will be the nominee because that’s who the establishment wants.

    1. “Patsy!” Very astute observation.

I think we are giving too much importance to these candidates of the mainstream political parties which parties have no legitimacy since they lie all the time; remember all those politicians have clearly seen airplanes in the pentagone and in a field in Pennsylvania on 9-11 where there were none to be seen.

So why talk so much about them?

They want you to be part of the days of Noah with them. Fortunately, because we are in the days of Noah, it means that the Second Coming of Jesus is near. No wonder the prophecy of the popes tells us that Francis is the last one before final Judgement of mankind.

I know, Ms Harris and Mr Biden do not believe this prophecy at all… but remember they believe the official 9-11 story.

  35. My problem with K Harris goes back to the California Prop 37 vote to label GMOs. Election night Prop 37 was behind by about half a million votes. There were about 4 million votes left to count. The next morning the uncounted votes had disappeared. Kamala Harris as Attorney General did nothing. Prop 37 lost by about 3%. Strange times we are in.

  36. Remember to vote early , , , and vote often.

  37. Harris is not African American. She is Caucasian Indian (mother)and Jamaican (father). Neither parent was an American citizen at the time of her birth. She is an “anchor baby” and therefore, ineligible in the US to run for or become President.
Unfortunately, the laws of the US are not applicable to those “in the club”….ie. Obama, ……………

    https://patriots4truth.org/2019/03/11/kamala-harris-is-an-anchor-baby-and-she-is-not-black/

    1. As much as I hate to say this, Terry, you are right on your facts but wrong on the law. The only test is whether she was born here, and as your article says, she was born in Alameda County, California. Being an “anchor baby” does not mean you were not born here.

      1. Yes, she was born here….however,
        http://www.kerchner.com/protectourliberty/naturalborncitizen/TheWhoWhatWhenWhereWhyandHowofNBC-WhitePaper.pdf
The original intent of the law matters. According to the original intent of the law, she is not eligible.

Those in the “club” do not have to abide by the law.
If the law was challenged, and there was an uncorrupted judicial system….if pigs could fly…

Same as for Hillary Clinton, I wouldn’t vote for Kamala Harris if she were running against a genetically engineered hybrid of Augusto Pinochet, Josef Mengele, and Satan. (As Glen Ford of Black Agenda Report might put it, I see her not as the lesser evil but the more effective evil.) That said, it sounds like the good people at patriots4ignorance could use a little help from a lawyer, or a paralegal, or a legal secretary, or even just a janitor at a law office capable of looking stuff up in the US Code or even just Wikipedia, because what Terry wrote is — how to put this nicely? — wrong.

To begin I specifically do NOT support Senator Kamala Harris as a candidate for US President, and do NOT want her as US President.

      However …

According to the COLB provided by the website you (Terry) referenced above Harris appears to be eligible to run for US President. She appears to be a “natural born Citizen,” pursuant to Article II, § 1, ¶ 5, which states:

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of
the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall
any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five
Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

The Legal Information Institute, through Cornell Law, provides the following (a link to the page follows):

“Under the 14th Amendment’s Naturalization Clause and the Supreme Court case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 US. 649, anyone born on U.S. soil and subject to its jurisdiction is a natural born citizen, regardless of parental citizenship. This type of citizenship is referred to as birthright citizenship.”

      https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/natural_born_citizen

Further reading, and authority, is found in “THE CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” The current “annotated” version, dated August 26, 2017, is found in the link below. A table of contents for the 14th Amendment begins on page 1833, and the portion of same discussing “Citizens” is found between pages 1839-42.

      https://www.congress.gov/content/conan/pdf/GPO-CONAN-2017.pdf

I’m not a “constitutional scholar.” At best I’m a student. I could be wrong about any of the above, but if I am, and you want to convince me, you (or anyone else) will have to provide credible authorities.

      1. The white paper I referenced had 27 cited references and the conclusion was
“No dual-Citizen at birth or persons born with divided allegiances to two or more countries can ever constitutionally be eligible to be President” The original intent of the law is what matters, not what you or I or Wikipedia or a constitutional lawyer “think”.
Obviously the law would have to be contested….and heard in our corrupt judicial system……..hence the expression- if pigs could fly….
100% allegiance is essential to govern this country. Harris’s allegiance is in question.

Terry, I didn’t see your post with the link to Kerchner until after I’d made mine.

Kirchner’s writing appears to disregard the 14th Amendment, and the majority of his sources also pre-date the passing of the 14th. Kirchner’s disregard notwithstanding it is undeniable the 14th Amendment was passed and has been the law of the land since July of 1868.

  38. As a citizen of California, I can tell you Ms Harris has no progressive credentials. She’s just like HRC, its all perception management, and whore for Wall Street. When the Pacifica Radio Network (oldest progressive, peace network in the country), and their flagship KPFA in Berkeley, were under attack by Democratic fascists doing a hostile takeover, ruining the finances to capture its considerable assets, and introducing censorship in its programming, our AG Harris, charged with overseeing nonprofits, allowed criminality, despite filings and pleas from the membership to stop the flouting of bylaws, did NOTHING! She was already campaigning and off across the country.
She did find time to prosecute parents of truants, and let Menuchin off the hook for blatant, massive fraud and theft. You can easily see who’s side she’s on.
Kamala´s a cop. Keep your eye on Tulsi, who is leading in google search hits this morning. We are not all stupid.

Kamala Harris was also a main supporter of the dreadful “three strikes” law. I had a friend who had been in prison and completely turned his life around and became a well-known writer and teacher and because of this draconian law, if he so much as looked cross-eyed at a cop, he could have been sent to prison again. Fortunately, he was pardoned by Jerry Brown. I despise Harris. Caitlin is right on about her and so are you.

  39. Harris is exactly Obama 2.1. And a Hillary Clinton protege. Just what we didn’t need right now. I might have to vote for Trump. The Dems are paid to lose. A fake opposition party.
