Propaganda and censorship only work if they’re invisible. Once it’s obvious that propagandists are propagandizing, public attention moves from the material being presented to the people doing the presenting. This is happening right now but they can’t stop.

My grandmother had a saying “Punching down is cowardly. Punching up is brave. Punch up.”

Oh my god I needed a good laugh! I was just thinking the same thing. It looks to me like they are losing the media war, and with all their billions behind them. It’s wonderful and heartening. You guys are so funny. Thanks
Caitlin, take a look at the recent article on the regime change operation in Armenia.
I have left many posts there with some of my analysis.
Armenia is opening the door to national disaster.
If you understand its strategic position you will understand why.
Last week I think , there was a hit piece on you on Medium. I know that’s not exactly MSM, but still.
Congrats! Once they are doing hit pieces, you are on their radar. Good luck pissing off the MSM!

It’s easy to think that, just because we know the truth, everyone else will want to know it or will accept it. The problem with public attention in the U.S. – and likely elsewhere – is that it is not as large as we think. When it comes to voting, too many do more than just pull the party lever. They don’t have to even know what ‘their’ candidate stands for. It’s like Russiagate – created not just to cover the truth, but to get the public to accept the propaganda that’s already been spread. Once people come to a decision, they don’t want to have to admit to being wrong, so they often block out the clear evidence.
Also, I think we tend to assume that there is even a great ‘public attention.’ Too many people are just wrapped up in their own little lives to the point that they don’t even pay attention to the proofs that create what little public attention there is.
If you want to create public attention, get a commoner to marry British royalty. People eat that crap up, because it distracts them from the humdrum and annoyance of daily life. Personally, I say, ‘who cares’ to that sort of thing. But, you would be amazed at how many people won’t even talk about the problems we face, if it doesn’t pertain to more or less money in their pockets. And, when I do meet someone, usually a young adult, and ask if they know what the DAPL issue was, or who the Koch brothers are, I am literally amazed at how many have no idea whatsoever. For every youth we see marching for causes, there are many thousands who have no idea of what is happening to life in the U.S. – and their parents are no better.
We must keep up the fight and find a way to get the message and knowledge through their malaise and into the thinking part of their brains, but it won’t be easy – for most seem only to be able to cope with one upsetting thing – such as global warming – at a time.
I also love your poetry.
You’re awesome. Thank you!
Like sitting down over a coffee with the best of friends – laughing together at the idiocy of all those self-important and serious-looking but empty-headed news pundit and newsreader interviewers!
